As a middle school teacher who focueses heavily on writing family history, I bought this book in hopes it would help guide me toward new exercises with my students.

In general, that mission was accomplished, but the rest of the book was heavy with references to the author's own family.

There were very few "generic" exercises that could apply to any student without having to photocopy half the book so kids would have an idea as to what the author was referring to.

In that sense, the book was a great disappointment. I'm glad I purchased it, but I would not go back and buy it for the amount I did. (I'd spend five bucks, tops.)

Save you money on this turkey...I was looking for facts, not fiction. Of all the books I have read on Rife, this was close to being the worst of them all. Patric

This book combines a scanmag account of a persecuted man with an unintelligible description of his device that only a mad scientist could love or understand. There's only a small bit that I as a practitioner/patient might find actually useful.

What makes Rife's life worth knowing about is just how significant his work was. It undermined the theories that Pasteur died defending--though ironically his journals told a different story. Its application was simple and practical, provided that a practitioner learn how to tweak his machine for each patient. Tragically, that is the knowledge that died a premature death with Rife.

Happily others are now picking up its trail again. A quick search of this very site will also lead to many books from scientists who have been building on Rife's work; from these we can find tools for our own healing.

In the meantime, for those interested in the life of a fascinating yet sad figure, there's a much more judicious account of Rife's life and work in the much better book "50 Years of Suppression: The Cancer Cure that Worked". That book also makes clear the scientific implications of his findings in the context of other scientists of his times. Look for it.

If one is interested in getting serious information on R. R Rife, avoid this book. This title is a bit misleading; it should probably be marketed as a chic novel and/or made into a movie as suggested in another review. The search for salient information on Dr. Rife is scant and literature involving sensuality and sexuality is rife (sorry for that), in my opionion when I want to read the latter I'll go to a place where other writers are much more facile with the erotic genre. I give this one star for the information implied within.

To much conspiracy to be beleivable. However, it is a fiction so it does not have to be believable. Not very well written in my opinion.

By the cover you would never know it is a ( VERY Poor) piece of fiction, written as if an adolescent was given a high school assignment and was just passed an article about Royal Rife the day before. I'd say someone owes me 10 bucks, but that old adage of a fool and his money soon being parted, keeps running through my mind.

What on earth is this rubbish?

I have read books on history, I have read books on UFOs.

This is neither, because it barely even qualifies as a "book." It is rather a string of sourceless internet posts and sensationalist articles that would should make its author feel quite ashamed. Did he stick this together in a single afternoon?

UFO History Doesn't Start Here

The author of the book seems to have started out with a more or less honourable idea: to cram as many UFO-related incidents as possible into the shortest possible space. As a UFO researcher myself I appreciate Rife's effort to deal with material that most researchers don't usually bother with. However, the final product is a book filled with incidents that the author has done nothing to investigate independently, contains various factual errors, and whose bibliography is unacceptably vague. Many of the cases 'discussed' are taken from sources that not even Rife can identify, and when a source is given he very often casually writes "Internet posting" as if this counts as a bibliographical reference.

As a researcher myself I may consult Rife's book from time to time 'just in case', but it does nothing to fill in gaps in the history of UFOs that other researchers such as Jerome Clark and Chris Aubeck are filling with their work.

The WORST book I ever read
Helpful Votes: 30 out of 31 total.
Review Date: 2001-10-01
The effective information in this book could be reduced to 3 pages.
The book is full of typos and gramatical errors. It jumps to random subjects at random times. It lacks any kind of organization. It lacks any documentation to its qutations, stories, testimonials and statements of fact with the exception of a few web references and a very small reading list at the end.
It's not uncommon to see passages like "A local newspaper reports...", "Someone once said ...", "A paper said..."
It reads like a C paper from a junior High english class.
The author does Rife a disservice by daring to print such a mass of random data. It even includes an erratta sheet correcting a false statement which is repeated throughout the book but not corrected elsewhere.
Nothing in this book is reliable. Little is of much use. One entire chaper is a made up story - it says so. The final chapter, where you think you might actually learn something, entitled "Construction Basics" starts with "The following is an intentionally vague overview..."

Mr. Farly does no one a service with this book. Get "The Cancer Cure that Worked" by Barry Lynes instead.
