Colorado Books

This is a fantastic book on wildlife viewing in Colorado. This book has beautiful pictures--and it lists 201 wildlife viewing sites!...(28 sites on the Eastern Plains, 62 sites on the Front Range, 74 sites in the Rocky Mountains, and 37 on the Colorado Plateau). It lists maps, viewing information, directions and descriptions of the wildlife viewing areas; as well as what type of wildlife you can expect to see. It is very informative and comprehensive.
I highly reccomend this book!

Easy to use and comprehensive! Makes a great gift for new implants to Colorado, but useful for old-timers, too. All the info you need in one place!

COLORADO WOMAN is an action packed captivating tale of a young beautiful headstrong woman finding love. This book features photos of gorgeous Colorado gardens and interesting information about how each gardener planned, prepared, planted, etc. their garden. It has given me many ideas for my own flower garden, and it would make an ideal gift for any Colorado gardener -- or for anyone who is interested in how our gardening is different from other parts of the country.

This book offers the same high quality as Borneman and Lampert's guide to Colorado fourteeners. Unlike many other guidebooks listing routes on mountains within a certain elevation range, this book does not attempt to establish a "peak-bagging" list. Instead, it presents a selection of fun, enjoyable routes on some of Colorado's less-travelled, yet distinctive mountains. It has good maps, route descriptions, maps, and historical information.

This book was used as a text book in one of my history classes at CSU back in the mid 80s. I kicked myself later on after selling it when I graduated. I never did consider this book to be a "text" book, but a highly enjoyable factual account written with precision and accuracy. I was only slightly disappointed not to be able to find the 2nd Ed., which is the one I read, but bought the 4th Ed. There are some subtle changes, but changes I did notice. Excellent, excellent book!

Looking for an excellent book to help with a move to Colorado, this is THE one!In its third revision speaks for itself. Topics include high altitude living, politics, car registration, schools and places to see.

This little travel book is well written and totally worth the money. The easy, conversational style is accessible and compelling. The thing that sets this guide apart from others is the attention to smaller details about what is unique to Colorado travel. For instance the Durango Rail Camp entry.

Buy this book and you won't be dissapointed.
