Energy Healing Books

Mr. Finer has written a very simple book with various exercises that seem to be taken from different meditation texts or martial arts books. The exercises are very simple and effective. I would recommend the book to anyone who wants to develop a stress free life style. Even though he presents many techniques in the book to practice he does remind the reader that eventually you want to be in the place where there is no technique. Many of his techniques or strategies are taught through other meditative practices but I like the fact that he does not tie these exercises to any dogma or religious perspective.

So many of us are having a tough time dealing with the stress resulting from our increasingly busy lives. This book gave me an easy to follow plan along with simple mental and physical exercises that I now use to get in touch with what is really important, and how to focus on relieving my stress. What's really great about this book is that rather than being academic and complicated and thereby stressing me out even more, it is written in everyday language that made it easy to understand and use. Highly recommended.

I am a middle aged executive with a graduate degree and extensive social networks, yet I have never read many of the things in this book before. I was amazed to discover the power, energy, and health that I gained from the ideas and exercises. Everything in my life has improved. I look at things differently. I am even more intuitive about people and situations. Get this one and read it and do what it says. This might be the best self help book you will ever read!

Ms. Stein's Essential Energy Balancing Process is fantastic. I was skeptical at first, but went into the process with an open mind and heart. The energy shift I experienced during the process and for a long time afterwards was like nothing I have ever felt. The incredible joy and release that accompanied the process is well worth the work to learn. All I can say is, don't knock it until you've really, TRULY tried it. And remember, even if you THINK you're open, if you aren't really, you won't experience a darn thing. That is not Ms. Stein's fault - that is your own. She gave you a divinely inspired tool. Use it. This book is not optional, but mandatory reading (as are all the Energy Balancing books) for personal/spiritual growth and enlightenment. It is probably impossible to describe the beauty of its affects - you really just have to experience it for yourself.

I could not have imagined how this book would or could improve and surpass the wisdom gained. My daily life is forever transformed. Diane's gifts are not for the light hearted or those seeking the easy way. This is hard work and a responsiblily to all of mankind and the earth! Do the work and forever change your life!

if you are looking for an introduction to reiki, this book, along with others, would fit the bill.

Excellent book -- It really has answered all my questions and more. This is a must read for anyone who wants to learn more on Reiki. I am a very new Level I Reiki Practitioner.

Dr. Laxmi Paula Horan's Exploring Reiki: 108 Questions And Answers uses the question/answer format to answer many common questions about Reiki, from how to identify a suitable practitioner to when is the best time to practice Reiki and what happens to those practicing in the long term. An excellent introduction for newcomers written by a doctor who has been practicing and teaching Reiki worldwide since the mid-1980s.

I highly reccomend this book to all my Reiki friends. It is written by one of the twenty two original Reiki masters initiated by Hawayo Takata. John Harvey Gray was the third to receive this initiation from her, and is the longest currently practicing in the west.

In addition to a nice historical context, Hand to Hand also provides photo illustrations of hand positions for a complete treatment, both for oneself and others, useful techniques and advice, and another translation of Hayashi sensei's Ryoho Shishin (Hayashi healing guide).

John and his wife Lourdes wrote a wonderful addition to the Reiki library.

Having about 20 years of study and practice in various healing systems, I recommend this book as a practical and comprehensive tool for the study of Reiki and life energy. It will be of interest to newcomers for the history and basic techniques of Reiki. It will be instructive to practitioners and teachers through the case histories and integration with chakra energetics model. The knowledge presented is in the tradition of the original method which provides energy balancing at all levels-physical,mental,emotional, spiritual. This book illustrates the on-going development of Reiki as a growing complentary modality in the healing arts. John Harvey Gray is one of the original US Masters and has dedicated his life to sharing and teaching Reiki through classes and the establishment of Reiki wellness centers.

This author studied under Takata. He will give you information not available in other books. Most of the books on Reiki are either repetitive of what's been written, or are the author's own theories. This book is neither. For anyone who has been attuned and is interested in Reiki's History, this book is a highly recommended sourcebook.

Note that the author disagrees with Modern Reiki Masters in that he states that personal, in person, attunements from an authentic Reiki Master who has ALSO been attuned in person from another Reiki Master (the lineage) is the only way to go, to be attuned to real, pure Reiki.

MRM's will argue that you can get attuned from a video, from the Internet, or even attune yourself (the usual babble and claims.). Nonsense. Something may happen, but It ain't Reiki.

If I'd pick a half-dozen books on Reiki that I would consider essential, this book would be about #3. Learn about Takata and Reiki from someone who was there during her peak years.

The primary thing that strikes me about Taylor Ellwood's work is that he is not afraid to pioneer into his unknown. At this median of the New Age, in energy healing exploring the realm of the unknown is still taboo and shrouded with as much a social fog as a seemingly agreed upon lack of knowledge. Where it has become acceptable in traditional and energy healing to say, 'There's a barrier here; we can't go any further', it has become as common to find, 'There's a barrier here; we shouldn't go any further.' Ellwood perseveres through such esoteric dogma and boundaries, leaving a wake of opportunity for readers to forge ahead into the wild of their own wellbeing. "Inner Alchemy" reminds us that it is often within the imagination of the unknown that we find our purest most lasting remedies.

Ellwood demonstrates a deep understanding of the etheric form not as we're told it is, but as it truly is. He shares with his readers a dynamic understanding of the chakra system, a perspective that is lacking in most of the current material on energy healing. Where other practitioners would have us believe that there is only one true representation of energetic health, Ellwood understands that we are not all templates functioning from the same balance. No less, he encourages readers to explore and develop their own limitless approach in widening their perception of themselves, their health, the world around them and how all of these facets interconnect. He presents his views of our unique forms alongside the knowledge that we create ourselves. Moving beyond teaching merely that we create our own realities, Ellwood shows us through layers of personal example and research how the way we live affects our every level of being, and he gives us the tools for how we can effect change in our lives to recreate ourselves as we want to be. At the end of each chapter he gives exercises reinforcing the techniques presented. In his words, "With inner alchemy you learn to change the lead of emotions into gold that gives you more control of your life."

Using common sense as much as magickal know-how, Ellwood eloquently presents the body as the filter for all of our existence. Everything we experience emotionally, vibrationally, environmentally, sexually, psychologically... is processed by the body. How we process the events, thoughts and feelings of our lives is as significant as the result we make of them. Coupling these basic observations with core body function and the use of fetishes, sigils, helping spirits, and elements in rituals Ellwood lays out a well-written plan for focusing life through all layers of Being, using every outlet we have as a means of clearing and balancing our health. He's not shy about details either. Anyone wanting to know powerful uses of bodily fluids, how to alter brain function at a neurotransmitter level, or how to alter DNA energetically will find a thorough and compelling description of the function of each in the path of wellness. In that light this book presents magickal keys to improving health, and healthy techniques to broaden one's skills as an energy worker.

It is evident that Ellwood has powerful knowledge to convey in "Inner Alchemy." The one thing I wanted to feel more of in this work was his passion for this knowledge. This book is not a clinical read by any stretch, but it is also not a heart-centric offering, an observation that may well serve the information better. There is no sentimental attachment to the practice of or the wisdom imparted in Ellwood's work. It simply is the result of a lifetime of study, hard work and self-creation crafted for like active participants.

The alchemy referred to in this book is not the traditional alchemy of plants and metals, but the metaphoric alchemy of bodily energies and processes. The book addresses introductory, intermediate and advanced materials dealing with transmutation of the self and the body through work with the five senses, with bodily processes and products, through Taoist breathing techniques, and through some very innovative material that approaches neurotransmitters as potential spirit allies.

Taylor is a friend of mine, and one of the most impressive young magicians of my acquaintance. I may not always agree with his approaches, but he's thorough and careful and he practices what he writes about so that he can speak from personal experience. This has always immensely impressed me, because so many so-called magicians tend to be more armchair theorists than on the ground magical workers. This attitude and practice allows Taylor to speak with much more genuine authority than most occult authors.

The work of the book moves from basic sense-expansion exercises through techniques for gathering and filtering energy (with a detour through ethical energy vampirism) into more and more complex and intricate methods of dealing with bodily systems. One aspect of the work that Taylor proposes is the magical change of one's DNA through the practices detailed in the book. I'll admit I remain skeptical on how much one can change one's DNA by these means, but I do think it might be theoretically possible.

In my opinion the most interesting and innovative section of the book is his material on neurotransmitter spirit allies. If people can make allies of animals, plants, stones, or land features, there's no reason to believe they can't make allies of these chemical entities within their own bodies. In many ways, neurotransmitters are essentially identical to the chemical compounds found in many entheogenic plants -- they are the fuel in the engine of trance. One might also approach the concept by thinking of a neurotransmitter as a point around which to create an egregore or energy entity with a specific purpose, which can then be approached as an ally.

Inner Alchemy is a dense but readable book with a lot of practical exercises and Taylor's notes about how these exercises worked for him. It's also a remarkable discussion of one magician's self-transformation process. While I wouldn't use all of the techniques described, it's an excellent guide to what appears to be a very effective systemization of a variety of techniques drawn together into a coherent whole by a talented working magician.

Five neurotransmitters of five.

Inner Alchemy is a book that makes you think in all the right ways. It presents new ideas and concepts and allows the reader to do their own explorations. Most people don't realize that we have more control over our bodies than we are aware and Inner Alchemy helps us become more aware not only of the control we have over our own bodies, but our bodies themselves and how they speak to us. The alchemical principle 'As above, so below' is stressed in this book, in how we treat our body will largely determine the work we do externally.

This book also presents concepts that some might find controversial or even disgusting. Its all a matter of how comfortable one is in their own skin, and how willing they are to work with and face some of the issues regarding the physical form and all of its facets. I would recommend approaching this book with an open mind, and possibly a solid stomach. However, the way its written is geared both towards old hands as well as people who are still just getting their feet wet in occult practice. It allows room for some interpretation, and allows the reader to take the concepts presented in the book and form their own opinions and way of working.

All in all, I think this book was well-written, and a good read for any alchemist or occult practitioner. Bravo.

This book has been an essential learning tool recommended to my classes in Energy Medicine as I teach Reiki Energy Medicine. It steeps one in the simplest manner with a proper overview of the Energy Field of a living being in what can be quite the most poignant albeit ancient conception. This is the way this material has been taught for thousands of years. And no wonder! It really works.

This book is meant to introduce the reader to the ancient yogic tradition of Kundalini. It details what the historic tantric scriptures describe and has many illustrations of historic drawings. The concept of Kudalini - awakening body/mind chakras - is described from a Eastern perspective. This also describes experiences of Kundalini by some of the known swamis (holy people).

Please note that this is not a Kundalini awakening instruction book. It is more a scholarly work on describing traditional Kundalini.

If you like to know about traditional concepts of Kundalini, this book will give you a good introduction.

I haven't read this book, but came across this reference in a book by Roland Drolet I am translating into English. "Another example of a word which needs to be demystified is Kundalini, which is nothing other than the sexual energy, that is the mass nuclear energy (E-mc2) liberated during sexual relations. For more details and depth on the Kundalini, see the two excellent works: "Kundalini: The arousal of the inner energy" by A. Mookerjee and "The Tao of Sexology" by Dr. S. T. Chan."

As a Holistic Practitioner, I recently became interested in what some have called "vibrational medicine". I found Beaulieu's unique observations into the world of sound, music and healing to be thrilling and his views have urged me to continue looking into the realm of sound. I have adopted some of his tenets into my consulting work. Information on voice energetics was most interesting; combining physiology with energy concepts, as was the chapter on tuning forks. A great read.

This book is one of those that rather than elaborate for some thousand pages on just a few gold nuggets, has MANY peices of valuable information, from tuning forks to elements to patterns and more!! This book is done from a semi-scientific approch and the author has done a wonderful job researching! Lots of diagrams and pictures. Very easy to understand and put to practical use.
If You like sound and want to expand it into healing for yourself and others this book could be just what your looking for!

John Beaulieu has done a wonderful job with this book, especially for those of us who are visually oriented and like to see the concepts presented in a visual manner - lots of diagrams.

John's knowledge of the history of music and it's use in healing, as well as his vast knowledge as a composer and musician, make this work valuable if you're planning on using music in your own therapeutic work. I'd recommend it very highly.

I've referred to John's web site for quite some time for information, and have been impressed with his generosity in sharing files he has composed. I haven't seen that on very many sites. John's CD's are also excellent.

Its great to see that Ruth has finally penned her experiences with, and history of, the Seraph. We are at a well-documented, crucial time in the evolution of humanity on earth and it is essential that we wake up collectively. The teachings of the Seraph are a valuable resource and guide to help us achieve this.

"Seraphim Blueprint, the Power of Angel Healing" is an important book for our time. It explains Ruth's (the author) background and what led up to a high level Angel contacting Ruth to work with Him. I have read this book and I think it is a good general guideline into doing egg cleansings. I have watched this ritual done many times and I feel that the author does a good job at letting the readers know that there is no right way of doing them, and no matter what level of spiritual understanding or gift that you have you can perform this process for a positive benefit.

Very informative book. As a child I had this healing method performed on me. I had never encountered anyone that I knew who used it in my adult life, so I was quite excited to see and read the method used. Looking forward to praticing and learning the method.

I had seen this ancient art during my travels to Central America and Mexico, and was pleasently suprised to find that there was now a book on this healing technique. Kalyn, who is part Mayan, describes the technique clearly, and her book is easy to follow. I am now practicing myself and find myself referring back to this great book. Egg cleansing is easy to do and I am having great results with it. This book helped me get started with this unique healing method.

As a Massage Therapist and Reiki Master, I found this book to far exceed my expectations. This information will take my practice, and also yours, to a whole new level. The imaging for visualization, by it self is worth the price of the book. I have read other books by Mantak and I appreciate him sharing these "secrets" with the world. The information in the book, if you were to learn at a seminar would cost you thousands of dollars. If you are not into ritual, as he suggest, take his information and form your own preparation and routine.

I don't know how he manages to write so many books, but I'm glad he does. This book is probably one of my favourites. As I teach qigong I have used it for myself and passed on the lovely meditations to others. The knowledge is invaluable. Thankyou.

I have been looking for the one book that most clearly outlines ancient Chinese wisdom for a long time. This is the closest I've found. I got it two days ago and using the techniques described in the book to cultivate energy lead me to, last night, having the most creative time of my life.

Read it with your judgmental western mind on the backburner, and just try some of the techniques to feel who you are, then you'll easily discover the power of these teachings.
