This book has literally changed my life, it is so amazing! So many people have noticed my new attitude and have asked what my secret is. When I tell people about this book they go out and buy it. And in time they too feel it has changed their life. This has improved my health as well as my personal, professional, and spiritual aspects of my life. The strategies seem simple, sometimes too simple. But they are so effective and if you do not practice them regularly you will not experience the wonderful things that can happen in your life. I have read many other books about positive energy, but this particular book seems to be the most practical and easily applicable to daily life. And you see immediate results! I strongly recommend that you take these strategies and make them a part of who you are as a person. Think positively, be appreciative, believe in yourself! Then you will experience a whole new world and wonder why you didn't do this sooner!

This book is a great read for the busy person. Jon Gordon's tips are easy to implement and do help you get the energy you need to blast through your day.
Even though I work with a large number of people, there are many similarities between them. The majority want to feel better and get more energy. Those are number one and number two on the list. Gordon's book supplies anyone with these two needs the answers that work!
When I first picked up the book, I must admit, I thought there couldn't be anything in there that I didn't know myself. After a read or two I was wrong and I started implementing some of the principles for awesome results. (Have you seen me speak live?! If you have, you know what I'm talking about!)
I'm not going to spoil it for Jon here, but Tip # 39 is worth the entire price of the book and more! I let all my clients know about it and it helps them reach optimal health regardless of how busy they are.
Get it and get energized!

Science, religion, and metaphysics are not opposites, they are interwoven and often the same thing. And this book begins to bring it all together.
Perhaps it takes a few years of physics, chemistry, and mathematics to get the fundamentals to truly understand how vibrational medicine effects and affects us. Or maybe not. I think this book is a great jumping board leading into the world of harmonics, frequencies, non-linear dynamics, chaos, and homeopathy.

A must read if you are in or are interested in the alternative healing arts. Provides a lot of grounded information and as a physicist I can vouch for the theories presented, very right on...

I cringe when I read, "As a scientist..." or "I have a physics degree, therefore..." as total lead-in balony. The most fundamental problem is that so-called scientists, physicists, and mainstream medical practitioners know absolutely ZERO about what this book introduces and tries to explain. Apparently all these brilliant people are quite satisfied with the fact that the USA ranks near last in every relevant category relating to health amongst First World countries, despite throwing the most money at "health care", having the most modern medical technology, counting the most doctor visits, and being the most medicated people on Earth. Perhaps the Newtonian view should be challenged then, if we can ever cut through all the greed, corruption, and politics involved in "modern" Western Health Care. Vibrational medicine is clearly the answer in one from or another (because it's best for the people, not the doctors and corporations obviously) and the irony is that there is very good "scientific evidence" that many of our truly ancient cultures discovered and perfected it as their primary healing therapies. Homeopathy is probably the best example of a vibrational medicine that is consistently skewered and mocked, but yet continues to out perform allopathic medicine by a wide margin for a fraction of the cost. It's a shame that "medical science" is so bought and paid for, and for such a long time. So I'll let the physics guy scribble equations on a note pad any day; I prefer to uncover, understand, experiment, then practice vibrational medicine (in its various forms) on my very appreciative patient base and then observe the tremendous results. This book is a great starting point on what's out there within the vibrational world.

About 5" x 7" in size and 607 pages, this book has a lot of info. I guess you could say it's more scientific reading. If you want more scientific explanation and theory and testing of energy and vibration, this is it. If you want easy-reading explanation plus "how to do it," try books by Ted Andrews.
That said, this book is excellent for what it is. It provides tons of info and a 21 page index. Let's pick a topic at random: "Alzheimer's disease, aluminum, and" p.452 "...a significant number of patients with this disorder have high aluminum levels in brain tissue...raises the question of how safe it is to cook with aluminum..." and it goes on to explain possibilities and research being done, then goes on to discuss other potentially toxic metals.
For an example, let's look at Chapter 9. It talks about crystals and the human subtle energetic system. It discusses the history of crystals and the Atlanteans and on to today's use of crystals by healers as thought-directed energy amplifiers. Another good thing about this book: Chapter 9 is about crystals and it's 43 pages of not complex reading but not real simple either. Well, the last 2 pages of the chapter lists 14 important points to remember from the 43 pages. The book does that for each chapter. It really helps you remind yourself of the important points, so you can better assimilate what you just read, before moving on to the next chapter. By the way, the book even includes in-depth explanations of Newtonian vs. Einsteinian energy theories, for you science buffs. This is well-researched text for those interested in more detail on vibrational energy and related material.

Our lives have happily changed and improved for the better. ONE session cured my severe, chronic hormone-related Insomnia and my husband who is a smoker can breathe easier and deeper and his chest feels clear and lighter. Our sights have become very clear and vivid. MANY other ailments we had have disappeared after only a few treatments.
IT IS VERY VERY WORTH IT!

This is an excellent book that is extremely well written and easy to understand but at the same time gives you a technical understanding of how the mind and body really work together. If you want to understand the relationship between the mind and body and how your thoughts and actions determine your health and happiness then this is the book you need to read and keep as a reference.

I have been using Energy Psychology in my counseling practice daily for the past 11 years. Until now, I've had to ask clients to "take my word for it" that these techniques could bring about profound change. Of course, once a client actually experiences the power of these interventions, they become "believers." Still, helping psychological pain disappear by tapping with one's fingers one one's body is such a bizarre-looking form of treatment that therapists and users alike drift in and out of belief, often feeling silly for even trying these techniques. This sense of ridiculousness can cause people to refrain from using this form of healing on their own. As a result, there is so much UNTAPPED potential! However, Dawson Church's scientific explanation of the physical changes that occur with mind-based interventions is so convincing that it is certain to provide the support that anyone needs. Understanding that there is science rather than witchcraft behind the methods can help so many people. It will empower them to try the techniques and it will empower them to stay with them. I am so grateful to Dr. Church for providing this resource to all of us.

After hearing Dr. Bruce Lipton speak, introduced by Dawson Church (the author of this book), I was excited about the concept of thoughts influencing our genes. I wanted to learn more, but this book fell flat. Unfortunately, it offered little new information, contained way too many typos, and a lot of needless repetition. However, it is a good introduction to the whole idea of "the biology of belief" for those who don't want to wade through the scientific jargon in Dr. Lipton's excellent book of that title.

Well The Biology of Belief, Genie in Your Genes and The Human Antenna must be read as one book. People who think this book is not good enough shall pay a little more and buy the other two that i mentioned and they will be delighted. Read my review of The Great Field as well. This is a master piece in the genre of Epigenetics along with others that i mentioned. Money well invested. I enjoyed every minute of it :)

What is Reiki?
Reiki is a Japanese term.
Rei means something mysterious, miraculous, and sacred.
Ki means the atmosphere or something subtle or the energy of the universe.
The Japanese words Reiki can be defined as a miraculous and sacred energy of the universe, which sustains all life (Reiki is the name, used by Usui Sensei, for the universal/cosmic energy.)
Reiki is Spiritually Guided energy. Reiki is the name of the energy that is used with the System of Reiki. Reiki is the name used by Usui Sensei to the cosmic/universal energy.
-Hyakuten Inamoto Sensei(Founder of Komyo Reiki Kai)

***The word Reiki is treated as a loan word and therefore written in katakana as the kanji can be deceptive, rei also referring to the spirits of dead people or ghosts. To make things more complicated still, when spoken, the word Reiki may be understood as "cool air".

I'm pleased with the packaging... everything fits nicely into a sturdy presentation box (what you see in the picture). I've begun reading the workbook, and I'll get further into the study when I have time to look more carefully at the cards. Good so far.

CDs were especially helpful for meditation. The book was an excellent source of beginning knowledge, but it also goes on to say, to practice Reiki, it is best to take a class because an attunement must be had before one is able to perform these skills.

The Reiki Touch by William Rand consists of an instructional workbook, a CD containing three guided meditations, a music CD, a DVD and 30 illustrated Reiki cards. It represents good value for money and is useful, if not always ideal, for beginners and experienced practitioners alike.
The Reiki workbook is both original and conventional. It is conventional in that it includes the usual explanation of what Reiki is; a brief summary of its history; an explanation and illustration of the standard Reiki hand positions; and a brief section on how Reiki has been received and accepted by the broader (scientific and medical) community. This is all interesting, if not exceptional. The material covered is a useful summary; but lacks the detail to be much more. It is therefore better suited to a Reiki beginner who hasn't read much on the subject before.
Things are more interesting when Rand deviates from the norm and either discusses his own person experiences with Reiki or illustrates various meditation techniques (most involving visualization) that help deepen your Reiki practice. Due to their more original content, both beginner and experienced practitioner have something to learn.
The 30 Reiki cards are original and useful, albeit more suited to the advanced practitioner - especially those that have practiced not traditional forms of Reiki (for instance, Rand's own Karuna reiki, Shamballa Reiki or the like). The reason for this is that many cards discuss many Reiki symbols that will either be unknown to anyone who has not studied Reiki levels 2 and 3, or unknown to those who have simply studied traditional Usui Reiki (that only contains four symbols).
The idea is for the cards to be used in a similar way to rune or tarot cards, with a practitioner using his or her intuition to choose a card that is meaningful to him or her at that present moment in time.
The cards would be slightly more useful if they were presented in a box of their own. That way they could be more easily carried around in your pocket. As it is, you need to keep them in the Reiki Touch (kit) box which is a good deal bigger than even a large book.
The DVD is more useful to beginners than advanced practitioners as, for the most part, it illustrates the basic hand positions to be used both on yourself and others. That said, most people will find at least one or two new positions that could prove useful. Also, it is interesting to see how an experienced practitioner like Rand works. That should prove useful even to some Reiki Masters.
The music CD is solid, if not exceptional. I wouldn't use it for a Reiki session since the music is a touch (but only a touch) too quick paced and not quite soothing enough; but it would be suitable background music in either a bookstore or home.
The meditation CD is probably the most interesting part of the collection. It contains three guided meditations involving visualization. These meditations involve meeting up with `enlightened beings', however, so if you don't like anything esoteric, then they may not be suitable for you. If you have an open mind, though, they should prove both interesting and useful.

Rand's voice is the spoken equivalent of "elevator music" and his choice of background music for healing is even worse. (At least he can put you to sleep easily.) He presumes throughout that you already have Reiki training and barely mentions Reiki except to mutter about "putting the symbols in your hand". Give it a pass and keep looking - it should NOT be considered a Reiki learning text.
Diane Stein's Reiki Handbook is far more accurate but did not come with an audio when I bought it. It contains some misinformation but does include the symbols - a radical break with other books, Rand's included. Essential Reiki: A Complete Guide to an Ancient Healing Art
Hopefully the International House of Reiki will come up with an audio. Their podcasts are interesting and their e-newsletters informative. Their books contain the most current Reiki information from Japanese sources. Usui Sensei left a few students around when he died and someone finally bothered to locate them and discover what was actually taught. The Japanese Art of Reiki: A Practical Guide to Self-Healing

This is a well-written book that is both informative and a pleasure to read. Ken Cohen provides an interesting overview of the history of Qigong and also provides appropriate instructions to give the reader an introductory taste of Qigong practice.
For anyone serious about learning Qigong, I recommend Ken Cohen's audio/video course "The Essential Qigong Training Course" that is also available here on Amazon.

Although I haven't finished with this lecture, I have found it quite interesting. Language is easy and for a person who has very little experience in this subject, this is a very useful book with lots of interesting data especially scientific ones (this gives the author more credibility). Great book!

"The Way of QiGong" attempts to provide a comprehensive overview of qi gong, from its history to its applications in healing and improved sexual vigor. Other reviewers have done an adequate job of cataloging the book's strengths and shortcomings, so I'll touch on the one aspect that I haven't seen mentioned: the section on diet and nutrition.
The author does himself a great disservice by including the chapter "Dao and Diet", as it lowers the overall quality of the book substantially. The chapter is especially dangerous because it intersperses sound nutritional advice - try to eat local foods, try to eat organic foods - among absolutely terrible advice.
The first clue that the author has ventured outside of his area of expertise is when he references Barry Sears and endorses Sears' dietary recommendations. Sears is more of a snake-oil salesman than anything else; his work has never appeared in a peer-reviewed journal and has been widely discredited. (For a thorough indictment of Sears, and some actual valid nutritional advice, check out "The Food Revolution".)
The author then goes on to suggest that the reader take plenty of vitamin supplements and should strive to receive 30% of their calories in the form of protein. This is simply horrible, horrible advice. You don't need that much protein, and you're raising the likelihood of contracting a number of diseases if you structure your diet around these recommendations. For some statistics on the correlation between high protein consumption and cancer rates (as well as other diseases), check out "The China Study". (If you have a genuine interest in your health, and how food affects it, both of the books I mentioned are worth reading.)
Long story short: the book is worth checking out if you're new to qi gong, but disregard the author's stint as an armchair nutritionist.

I've now read NEXUS for the third time and with each reading I discover new dimensions & deeper meaning throughout this enlightening novel.
At first glance you may think that NEXUS is a simple, superficial story. Yet each time I journey through this book I find something new- an intricate, insightful and experiental process occurs. I've discovered that the authors are ingenious! Their inventive techniques create a clever 'connectedness' beween the wide spectrum of important life 'ingredients' that ultimately coalesce into an East/West, intrinsic/extrinsic, individual/social, spiritual/earthy, ancient/contemporary dialectic of quantum wisdom. Truly a fine work of art!
I must warn that if you read this book quickly, superficially, or with a closed mind then you are going to miss the entire point to the story.
I recommend NEXUS for the Oprah Show since the book & authors would certainly generate a fascinating discussion. Also NEXUS, although great as a book would be even better as a movie.

I am between two countries, California U.S.A., and India, living at one spiritual retreat or another, and I must say that NEXUS by Deborah Morrison and Arvind Singh is an inspiring and true to life spiritual novel set primarily at a spiritual retreat.
My one criticism of the book is that it is a rather extreme, dramatic portrayal of what goes on at a spiritual, yogic retreat. From personal experience I would have to say that the emotional drama, conflict, and extreme psychological conditions of the colorful characters portrayed in the book are definitely a fictional portrayal of the usual spectrum of individuals that you would come across if you were to attend a yoga retreat. Usually a yoga retreat is calm, peaceful and inspirational and I highly recommend a week or two at least for personal rejuvenation. Let me remind you that it would be highly unlikely to come across the situations that surface in NEXUS.
However, the authors have spun a thrilling story that integrates advanced, deep spiritual/psychological/philosophical insight into a real page-turner of story.
I must give the authors credit for portraying the true to life reality of some of the challenges that people face in life. Especially important is the exploration of the reality of depression/despair and the inherent challenges in attempting to overcome this condition and the role of suffering in life. Other important and often neglected themes are touched on in this book such as death, isolation, environmental imbalance, materialism, life purpose, and expanded awareness.
Overall, wonderful and inspirational writing can be found in this book!

I found "Nexus" by Deborah Morrison and Arvind Singh to be a most remarkable discovery in expanding my awareness about realities of life such as despair, challenges, obstacles, depression, loneliness, and conversely the contrasting light of compassion, hope, renewed vision and sincere love that can emerge from such darkness that a person might find themselves inadvertently experiencing.
There are deep, thoughtful and practical insights presented throughout the novel that I found to be invaluable gems of wisdom for living and most precious since they can be easily integrated into your life if you like.
I was fascinated by the deep philosophy interwoven throughout such a spellbinding, thought provoking and unique fictional adventure tale of colorful, unforgetable characters and the meandering psychological and spiritual adventures that they surprisingly find themselves on.
Higher guidance in dreams, synchronicity, mind-body connection, healing, enlightened consciousness, and compassion are threads of inspirational wisdom that are creatively woven throughout this 'tapestry' of love & loss, life & death, mystery & revelation, joy & sorrow, darkness & light...
I laughed, I cried, I felt total empathy and I experienced an expanded understanding & vision that ultimately has left me with new tools for living.
Powerfully transformational!

The Original Reiki Handbook of Dr. Mikao Usui is one of the first Reiki books that I bought when I was starting with my Reiki journey.
Frank Arjava Petter is a well respected reasearcher on Reiki not only in the West but also in Japan.
Hyakuten Inamoto Sensei in fact mentioned his name when I was in his Komyo Reiki Kai Shinpiden Training in Toronto, ON.
Komyo Reiki Kai, the system Inamoto Sensei has created, presents Reiki as it was understood and commonly practiced in the 1930's in Japan. This system places emphasis on spiritual enfoldment through the practice of Reiki Ryoho, aiming for "satori" or enlightenment.
Inamoto Sensei learned Reiki from Mrs. Chiyoko Yamaguchi who had trained with Chujiro Hayashi, one of Usui Sensei's original students.
***This is a book worth checking out by a beginning Reiki pratitioner. My only comment is on the title of the book "The Original Reiki Handbook of Dr. Mikao Usui" It's somewhat misleading, it's probably better if instead of doctor, the word should be Sensei which is a more appropriate title.

It is well known today that Usui Mikao was many things in his life - but a Doctor was not one of his professions. With the title of this book listing Usui Mikao as a Doctor, it casts doubt on the contents if the author did not know this simple fact.
The "Dr." title was a bit of fiction created by the Takata linage of Reiki (Usui Shiki Ryoho)
I give it 3 stars because I really dont know if this is fact or fiction.

I have just listened to the final CD in this set. And they answered ALL my questions. I found it very helpful. But I know I will continue to want and need support. So I'm wondering what to order next as I already have the law of attraction and Sarah books 1 and 2 and now finding the Path to joy through engergy balance, part 2. I'm so pleased with Esther, Jerry and "Abraham" because they have said everything I needed to hear. The answers to the questions they were asked were amazing. Now It seems obvious that they're right and I think at some level I have always known these things but I wanted someone to give me permission to accept these "truths" and they have done it. You know it's a releif to finally hear these things.

I listen to this CD almost everyday. I find the processes very practical, in fact I'm practicing some. On a whole I find anything from the Teachings of Abraham to be revolutionary - adding so much clarity to what I already know and what I don't know.
I'm more aware of my emotions - those that make me feel good. I'm more aware of my creation in the moment and the awesomeness of myself - that I can create worlds. The Teachings of Abraham does this in a gentle and deliberate way.

The first half the book held my attention like when I read a Clive Cussler adventure.
Dr. Becker patiently explains both biology and electricity building up to providing the understanding of regeneration as his research progressed.
The next half of the book explains first how electromagentism affects humans, then the potential hazards of electromagnetism are addressed.
Overall this book is very well written and I recommend it to all my friends whether they are engineers like me or not.

The information was not what I expected in regard to a misleading title. Anyone in the acupuncture field, as I am, should not be persuaded to buy this book. It basically deals with reptilian experiments done 50 or more years ago. It is a biology book, in a sense. I wish I had not purchased it!

Honestly, if I could give this book 10 stars, I would.
I was worried this would be some hippy-dippy, new age ride, based on some of the chapter headings. But concealed behind the facade of odd chapter headings is a truly amazing scientific work. I'm blown away. Becker & Selden go into excruciatingly beautiful detail of any number of experiments exposing some of the electrical plumbing and electrical signaling going on in complex bodies. This includes bone regeneration through electrical currents, partial or complete limb regeneration in Rats and salamanders through electrical processes. It refers to known cases of young children (under 11 y/o) regrowing fingertips that have been severed in accidents and NOT been operated on, or had skin grafts that inhibit the regenerative process. They also go into the removal of bacterial infections with positive silver electrodes approximating the body's natural healing electrical currents. (I think I now know why colloidal silver is popular as an anti-infections agent and silver nitrate {I think?} is used when babies are born to ward off infection...)
This book is written with the lay reader in mind. You don't need a medical background to understand and be enraptured by this book. As I may have said already (or not), I can't put it down. It's THAT GOOD! I hope this stuff is taught in medical school and more research goes into this field. I have the feeling it holds the key to higher level human regeneration and life extension (through making use of and maintaining the body's existing electrical systems)...
Just... WOW!

If you are pretty well versed in physiology and basic biology, you will probably love this book! As an engineer and experimental scientist Dr. Becker opened my eyes to a whole new area of study which, politics aside, has the potential to change almost every person's life.
Ahead of his time...

I'm not really one for science books, but this book has got to be the exception. If you have any chronic or 'incurable' disease, try to hold on - because fortunately there are at least a few doctors and researchers out there who are bright enough to think outside the box and challenge existing theories regarding the workings of the human body - in particular, the electricity of the human body and how it coincides with the universe.
The author walks the reader through his discoveries that not only is it feasible for the human body to regenerate (just like the salamander's), but most likely, this is what our bodies were designed to do from the get-go, until we surrounded ourselves with electromagnetic fields of pollution so powerful that our perfectly designed DNA, immune systems, cardiovascular systems, endocrine systems, neuromuscular systems became 'confused' by all the external commotion.
The author of this book represents what research 'should be' about, but for the most part isn't, and the reader cannot help but become a part of this researcher's emotion.
If I ever have a chance to meet the author of this book, I will be honored. Until then, I will recommend this book to anyone who values the perfectly amazing life God gave them and the perfectly synchronized universe He created to sustain that life. I only pray that there are more reseachers out there bravely willing to poke holes in the current theories that the human body is merely a collection of chemical reactions, unopposed by a higher force.
The author touches on this, and I am in agreement - I have to wonder if perhaps all the bad we see around us today - broken marriages, suicides, bombings, disease, pain, suffering, greed - is this merely a by-product of all the manmade electromagnetic distress surrounding each and every one of us on a daily basis? After reading this book, you will think twice about what we've sacrificed for the sake of 'technology' - everlasting life on earth.
