I check this book out from the library and decided to add it to my personal library. I has great ideas for arranging and organizing your office space so that it "becomes a physical manifestation of your life's direction". It includes many pictures with detailed examples. This is a great book for your decorating collection.

A simple practical hands-on book that gets to the point.
it helps me to really re-discover my self within.
I can feel nature within, regardless of what is going on outside.
Some of the "Try This" exercises can be used quickly in a small amount of time when I feel a need for centering - A great little book to keep close by

As an acupuncture student, I find that most of my texts are pathology oriented. I found it refreshing and compelling to read about 5 element theory from such a holistic perspective. This book combines 5 element theory with chi kung pratices and meditations as well as creative truisms about the 6 conditions of healing. In addition, Gilles explains the correlations between different areas of the body and emotional patterns. I highly recommend this book for any who is wanting more self awareness. I also highly recommend this book to other chinese medicine students who are craving a way to integrate the art back into their study of chinese medicine.

Cunningham notes that addicts have a history of mistreating their bodies and yoga is a practice to counteract those episodes of unhealthy damage. Yoga is a calming excercise that helps still the mind and body. While addiction is often akin to octane-fueld intense frenzie, yoga facilitates the opposite. A common understanding of the pathology of addiction is that it is a negative pattern that a person indulges in in a compulsive manner so as to escape from intense emotional pain. Various schools of yoga advocate the practice as a method of getting connected to the self while addiction promotes an escape from the self. The purpose here is to heal that need to escape by embracing an act that is about honoring our bodies and eventually ourselves.

The consensus amongst the medical community is that HIV/AIDS is a death sentence. In this important book, Dr. Badgley, a medical doctor, prsents his unorthodox approach to AIDS. The book includes information on the immune system, how to naturally strengthen it, and the true causes of AIDS. Anyone with AIDS should not take any medical drugs. They should take this book seriously and apply the methods in it.

This book has the personal touch and lay explanations that Hands of Light is missing (it's a great book as well, but much more scientific, which I appreciate as well). The stories of the author's personal experiences with each modality are helpful and leave me eager to try it myself. Not so simple that experienced people won't enjoy it, but not so technical that people just starting their journey would be intimidated. I like that it covers many modalities and gives an overview of each. It even includes a chart for sound therapy. Pretty cool book. I got it from the library, but had to order a copy for my personal library. It's a keeper.

A truly inspirational book on healing. Wise, humble, irreverent, iconoclastic, erudite. Bruce Way provides a heartfelt and intellectually stimulating foundation for personal development in this entire field. No doubt he has provoked the ire of many Reiki/Seichim practitioners around the world. Well, at least those wishing to maintain the mystique surrounding healing or those who charge astronomical amounts for attunements. Symbols are secret no more! (Well, actually, Diane Stein saw to that before Way.) 'Lineage' is shown to be the redundant concept that it always was. ('My route to Usui is more direct than yours!') And the whole notion of a master with the power to magically attune his/her pupil to Reiki healing is roundly and justifiably pilloried. Way doesn't conclude that, because of these flaws in the overall 'culture' of Reiki, Reiki practitioners are con artists or inadequate healers. Neither do I. To use the old cliche, many of my friends are Reiki-ists! I acknowledge that they heal. And they heal well. I do not acknowledge that they require specific attunements in order to heal effectively. Way is absolutely right when he directs the search for any healing power within. That is the place to start and the place to end up. The moment you place your potential for healing in the tingly hands of anyone else, (especially a self-styled 'master') is the moment that you abdicate a significant part of that potential. The greatest piece of advice that Way gives is to follow the advice of that other great visionary William Blake: "I must create a system or be enslaved in another man's. I must not reason nor compare, my business is to create." I wholeheartedly agree, with the proviso that, having created your own system, you don't then go on to offer your newfound modality by way of a $150,000 four-year degree course and thereby enslave an entire new generation of healers!

Author Patrice Bouchardon has created a unique Natural Paradigm in his book, The Healing Energies of Trees. The book is beautifully illustrated with photographs which relate to natural forest settings, and have been carefully selected to complement the text. Bouchardon considers trees as, "a vital part of the inheritance of Mankind." He stresses trees as architypal symbols of power, wisdom, fertility, and the essence of natural life itself. In our present information/communications society, there is a deep and urgent calling for us to re-connect with the peace, tranquility, and healing energies of the natural world. Within this context, the author discusses healing from a subtle-energy perspective. He provides a series of simple exercises and approaches for connecting with the natural energies of the Planet through meditations and consciousness interactions with certain species of trees, selected for their particular qualities and influences on enlightening the Human Consciousness.The book is particularly helpful in providing exercises and guidelines for expanding the intuitive senses and consciousness awareness, with the ultimate objectives of finding inspiration, inner peace, and healing. The author explains how he has developed his own system of extracting essential oils from the trees he has selected, and discusses the preparation and applications of these oils for healing and consciousness expansion. The book is thoughtfully indexed, and has a short, but well-chosen Resource List. The author expresses his feeling that the human race is at the threshold of an entirely new level of reality, and that conscious interaction with the Collective Intelligence of the Natural Environment is the mechanism that will effect this transformation.

Mr. Allan overcame lung cancer through feeling the healing energy. He shows us many ways that we can feel this "joyous, loving and healing energy." The personal journal format I especially liked since it got me into the author's skin. I highly recommend this book. I'm sure that the reader will feel the healing energy, as I did, through following the author's words as he shows and describes his many experiences with the love-energy

Anne Jones does a wonderful job of presenting material on
various types of negative energies, and what we can do to
clear them from our lives, in a clear and forthcoming manner.
People, places, and things, as well as the media, can direct
negative energy into the world and towards individuals, and
this book explains how to recognize when we are adversely
affected by such energy, and tells us many types of things
we can do about it. The author is clearly experienced as
a compassionate healer and intuitive, with many years of helping
people put the methods she offers, to heal negative energies,
into action. Any reader should come away from this book with
a greater understanding of this topic. I recommend this book
to anyone wishing for a better life, and a deeper understanding
of the natural world we live in.
