Dr. Judith Orloff's book has given me so many important insights about myself! One of the most important is how to act in order to maximize my positive energy. This has an impact on practically everything I do AND the things I choose not to do! Sometimes when my awareness of my true needs are a bit clouded I use one of the other things that the book has taught me: my intuition. It's so amazing that all the answers to our questions are within us but sadly enough most of us never listen to our inner voice. Earlier, I could hear my inner voice from time to time, but the voice was so faint that most of the time I chose not to believe it. After reading the book I now realise that it's the true me that is trying to tell me something important. Today its voice is a lot louder and I LISTEN carefully!

What a perfect book at the most perfect time. I was skimming bookshelves and thought..."this looks good, give it a try". My intuition was right on. Dr. Judith Orloff presents in a very easy to understand and conveyed way multiple ways to promote positive energy. She is unique in her approach and dares to enter the world of sexuality for which I truly applaud her. It was such an easy and enjoyable read and I actually feel better for it. Being a therapist myself I know that I will use some of her techniques with my clients and most definitely with myself.

Wonderful information! And it's explained simply for all to understand - no mysteries here. We'd all be happier people if we'd nurture our energy in every moment.

I received this book as a gift, and I really enjoyed it. Many of us sometimes come into contact with the people Dr. Orloff refers to as energy vampires; those people who leave us feeling tired and drained.

This is more than a book to read - it's a thorough and carefully outlined textbook on a subject that I already knew a bit about -- but didn't realize how valuable the program Donna Eden explains could actually be to my health! Her knowledge of how the body's subtle internal systems really function is enlightening and much of it proves more applicable than the commonplace redundancy of most medical authors who follows the all-too-familiar traditional health paths. Her 5-minute daily routine alone is worth much more than the price of this creative book, and after learning these refreshing exercise as an intro you are captivated and immediately ready to delve into the volume's many other health-improving components.

It is great to be able to find a process for self-care that is easy and works - this is IT.

This is a wonderful book. It covers all areas of energy healing in a very user-friendly manner. I would reccommend this book to anyone who has an interest in non "western" alternitives to wellness and healing.

I have researched the subject of EMT and found that using double blind, objective studies proved that it is not effective and does not work. You will notice that all references used in this text and other books about this subject are doctors and others that participate in the marketing and profit by selling their books, tapes, DVD's, seminar, etc. You can get free information about EMT by doing a Google search which will cover most if not all that's in this book. I don't like to see people waste their money on stuff that is unproven. The materially didn't help me.

This is a really great book! Easy to understand and apply. Interesting to read, and it's an excellent reference book as well! I also have the Energy Kit that Donna Eden has out and recommend getting that too. The info in the kit is contained in this book, but there is a DVD included where you can actually see Donna Eden doing the energy work and it makes it much easier to know that you're doing things correctly, plus she is fun to watch. You also a booklet and cards that make it even easier to do the energy works, along with the pendulum. I have other pendulums, but this one has a string thru the top which makes it very easy to use to 'spin' over chakras and meridian points. It's not difficult to see that this energy stuff works because you can muscle/energy test and see the differences immediately. Highly recommend this book.

Soul Wisdom I has so many blessing in it that I will go back and reread the chapters I have finished. As with Master Sha's book, SOUL MIND BODY Medicine, just the first few pages takes hold of my heart and doesn't ever let it go. Soul Wisdom I is another wonderful teaching book that I will share with my family and friends.

Dr. Sha has written a beautiful book that makes his spiritual wisdom available to everyone. He offers step-by-step instruction on how to heal our souls, and as a result, to create physical healing on every level. He explains why organs function improperly and shows the reader how to transform disfunction into optimal functioning, by balancing and healing the individual souls associated with each individual organ.

The exercises that Dr. Sha provides will help you to transform your body and to facilitate organ balance and function. Beyond the exercises, Dr. Sha shares his belief that each of us can experience optimal physical functioning and spiritual joy, and his belief in our right to do so, shines through this book. He also demonstrates how soul-wellness on the cellular and organic level facilitates emotional health, physical wellness and energy balance and shares examples of individual healings that have occurred through the use of his methods. Has anyone noticed that Dr. Zhi Gang Sha wears glasses? This review is not a criticism nor is it intended to show any disrespect. It's just an honest observation and a concern as to avoid being gullible. In Soul Wisdom: Practical Treasures to Transform Your Life, there is considerable attention given to the effectiveness of Soul Healing. In another one of Dr. Sha's books, Soul, Mind, Body, Medicine, there are no limitations put on the diseases that can be healed using his soul healing practices. For example, in the section on Conditions of the Eyes, there are specific techniques given for healing nearsightedness, cataracts, and retinal atrophy.

If this method is effective then why can't the author heal his own eyesight and eliminate the need to wear glasses? Maybe there is a significant and understandable factor involved that makes an exception of his eyesight being able to be healed. I'd like to know. Can someone help answer this question?

I have bought five of the Dr. Sha's books and would really like to begin by believing there is credibility in his healing methods.

While what I read seems very interesting, the reviews were pretty misleading, as they were all for the complete book, not for this short ebook that is basically a preview. It's one chapter, or part of one chapter of the complete book. This short does NOT give you the exact "how-to" of soul communication, but it does give you a sneak peek at what it's about for a fraction of the cost. Amazon really should keep separate reviews for the short and complete works.

I had very bad neck pains due to stress. Doctors prescribed muscle relaxants, but after doing Chi Kung neck exercises and the exercises, I have finally found relief. I truly believe these Chi Kung exercises work. Even my doctor testified to these exercises.

I thought it was wonderful. So easy to understand and follow the movements; along with lovely personal ancedotes and helpful nutritional information in the text.

I usually don't write reviews about the books I bought, but I felt that I should do it about this one after reading the amazing review from the "avid reader".

I have the book, I have done the exercises, and from my experience, I can tell you that they work, very easilly. In fact, I felt to my surprise the movement of chi in my body, the first time I did the first exercise. What else can you want from a book that actually delivers what his writer promises?
I have the book and also the videos from the same author. In those you can hear several persons reporting the "miracle cures" that ocurred with them, that this "almost" costumer complains about.
You know that is something that puzzles me: how can a person criticize a book that he doesn't know (he doesn't bought it, and as so he didn't invest time reading it,and doing the exercises)? How can a person judges a work "from the table of contents"?
If any of you is decided to buy the book and invest your time in these exercises I guarantee you'll be positively susprised.

One last thing: English is not the only language in this world, and when someone write a review in a foreign language usually makes mistakes. That is natural fact. I would like to see this gentleman trying to do a review in a foreign language without errors.

I am in awe of this man who calls himself Luk Chun Bond, it could be James Bond for all we know, who is a true master of the martial arts that not many can even begin to realise just what it takes to become one. Just read his book, The First 16 Secrets of Chi, and you will have a idea of what it means to sacrifice your life to what you believe in, no matter what field of endeavour you attempt to achieve. And to think he once shared part of his art for free, for years and years to whomever and whatever, no questions ask, just come and be healthy and happy, unheard of in this age of money, money and more money. Read the book first, then you will have a small idea of what this "man" is all about. By the way I had my book autographed which to me is priceless.

And all of them from first-time reviewers, many of whom seem to be struggling with english and making the identical mistakes, and each of them writing reviews of roughly the same length, and most of them reporting miracle cures for some ailment of other??? Puh-leeze. Instant healing just does NOT happen with Qigong. It's not supposed to.

The story available in the "Look Inside" link on this website is ridiculous. Did Deng Ming Dao write this book as a ghost writer?

If you want a reputable, reliable Qigong book, look to Dr. Yang, Jwing-Ming or Roger Jahnke. These very excellent, well-established, highly esteemed authors don't have as many reviews combined as the unknown Luk Chun Bond has for this one book! Believe me, that reflects more on Bond than on them.

The excersises in this particular book, judging from the table of contents, may be good, but the insecurity demonstrated by the bogus reviews here and the make-believe story in the introduction cast a poor light on the book from the get-go. If the "sixteen secrets" are just sixteen basic Qigong excercises and some diet tips, then where's the secret?

And to think, I *almost* ordered it.

As a nurse and a Reiki practioner, I was glad to see some anatomy and physiology included in this volume. Many Reiki healers use the standard hand postions without knowing the basis of why. In this book, Steve Murray teaches the basic human systems, chakras and meridians. Also included are healing attunements to be used by Reiki I, II and Master practioners in treating specific ailments. I started using his method of clearing and balancing the chakras and found a big increase in the flow of Reiki. I have found that some patients who are very ill or on heavy narcotics sometimes have difficulty in accepting the Reiki energy and this method facilitates the process. LOL no wonder they dislike him and his work. He has exposed them and they are angry. And by coincidence it's usually the most expensive way to learn Reiki, and with them giving classes.

The big difference between Mr. Murray and his detractors is that he teaches you can learn Reiki many ways and his teachings are one option; just make your own decision with learning Reiki with what works the best for you. Steve Murray does have knowledge about chakras and although his self help Reiki-books have gained interest from many prospective Reiki students that want to get into Reiki as a healing modality, Murrays happy students of Reiki obviously have no idea how his teachings are only discount versions of real in class Reiki training with a good certified, knowledgeable Reikimaster teacher. The information that Steve provides is insufficient and does not give Reiki real credit. I would never buy his books - as they are cheap, skinny, paperback versions of Reiki that are lowering the Reiki standards further all over.

This Ultimate Guide provides very detailed information about the Chakra energy system, where they're located, how they affect physical, mental, and spiritual levels, including illustrations and charts for focusing Reiki sessions for specific ailments. Mr. Murray details the major 7 chakras front and back, in addition to the many smaller energy centers located in hands, feet, and joints.

This is something no one else seems to talk about, and it is so important to understand for healing purposes. Healing attunements are fully illustrated, which makes it so easy to follow. Wow! I have 30 years of extensive background in energy work, and this blew my mind. Very well done.

When we accept the premise that we are all beings of energy and light, the next step in Reiki healing is within the aura. As with all of his books, Steve Murray guides us with calm authority through the layers of the aura and teaches us how to see the auras and apply Reiki to any situation in which we humans find ourselves. This book builds on the knowledge gained in his first two books, "Reiki The Ultimate Guide" and "Reiki The Ultimate Guide Vol 2" (Chakra healing). To be even more effective in Aura work, buy Murray's dvd "Psychic Attunement" and the CD "Reiki Aura Music Attunement". After viewing the dvd, I found my intuition greatly increased and had some pleasant "psychic" experiences. These products take Reiki to a new and exciting level.

This Ultimate Guide is a MUST have for those interested in energy/healing work and auras. This book clearly defines the etheric bodies, explains how they affect individuals, and guides the reader through how to remove blockages and past emotional wounds that affect the physical body to cause disease, aches and pains in the now. It just doesn't get any easier.

This book makes learning about the energy fields easy, even for those not steeped in energy work and metaphysics. This book is highly recommended.

I have read all the Reiki books by Steve Murray ( I have experienced all his attunements too ). And I can assure you there is nothing like this material in the market ( and I have a huge Reiki library ).
The books are clear and concise, containing all the information a Reiki person of any level shoul be able to find ( sadly that does not happen due to the secrecy and vested interest of some people in the Reiki world).

The DVDs are fatastic tools ( they are as powerful as in person attunements, and who say the contrary does not really understand the mechanics of Reiki or does not want to).

It is true that the books do not contain pictures of standard hand positions or the history of Usui Sensei and Mrs Takata ( but every other single book in the market does, so I truly understand Steve Murray not needing to repeat then once again and concetrate in the material that so far has been kept hiden for not a very good reason at all).

Resume : This is truly the best material any Reiki person should have in his or her library.

Common sense...versus misconceptions...pretty much sums it up in this latest book. After reading many, many books on Reiki, this one is totally refreshing as Steve Murray uncovers and exposes many of the myths. beliefs and legends that we have heard or learned from other Reiki practioners and Murray does so in a gentle, non-judgmental way. Included in the volume are over 100 Reiki symbols..both traditional and non traditional and a Reiki mandala which is something I've never seen before. Murray's books and DVD's are well worth the investment if Reiki is an important part of your life. The attunements are powerful and life changing. The Reiki information in the books is invaluable. Become a Reiki healer and change your life and assist others in changing theirs in a very positive way.

Is Steve Murray an Usui Reikimaster or conceived Reikimaster then with no respect and knowledge of Usuis teachings?

Non-healers cannot use Reiki Symbols False Belief - Wrong - The symbols have to be activated to work properly - why else would he try to attune people?

- Reiki Symbols have a power of their own False Belief WRONG - The symbols carry innate frequencies (they do have an affect on non-healers as well)

- Reiki lineage is important False Belief - YES AND NO - If you are very in tune with the universal force from which Reiki comes - lineage is irrelevant, but all teachers have to start somewhere - and there is a lot of knowledge and experience to be gained from acknowledging the good teachers that have gone before you. Steve Murray must have disrespect for his own teachers then. Did he teach himself? Did God?

A Reiki Attunement is needed to become a Healer False Belief WRONG Attunements are necessary because one cannot access the higher frequencies that are innate to the Reiki levels unless one is already at that frequency level. Vibrational level varies from one student to another. Steve Murray needs to check his own Reikimaster manual on attunements!!!!!!

It takes years to become a Reiki Master False Belief -WRONG although you can become a Reikimaster in a weekend, that only means that you can teach Reiki to other people, but what is your spiritual and healing knowledge? It takes years to become a proficient and highly qualified Reikimaster teacher capable of teaching all aspects of Reiki. Physical, emotional, mental and spiritual for proper enlightenment and healing purposes.

Other than that his false beliefs are ok, but only false because there are not enough good reiki teachers and the standard of Reiki training has been declining tremendously over the past 5-10 years so that students don't know enough about how to use Reiki.

Steve Murray is doing an excellent job in lowering the standards and spreading further false beliefs with his 4th bestseller on Reiki false beliefs

P.S. Is he taking his royalty money straight to the bank?
Or will some of it go into supporting the Reiki community?

No holds barred in this book, Steve Murray blasts through preconceived notions and myths to bring truth and fairness to everyone for a level Reiki playing field.

This book clearly shows that Steve's mission statement "To make Reiki knowledge, guidance, and attunements available to everyone that seeks them. To make Reiki 1st, 2nd, and Master Level Attunements affordable for everyone, so healing can be spread throughout the world" is borne out in his empowering books.

Mr. Murray doesn't believe in playing "keep away", which we encountered on numerous occasions with other people and classes. This book is NOT welcomed by "traditional" Reiki practitioners that have spent HUGE amounts of money on other courses. Even people we know tried to pooh pooh this and propagate some of the myths, but we know the truth, thanks to Steve Murray! This book is highly recommended for the Reiki seekers.

I recently visited the Hawaiian Islands. The moment I stepped off the aircraft and the air hit my face I felt the magic. I started researching and reading everything I could get my hands on to discover the secrets of the islands. Pila's book was the most helpful in explaining the incredible energy of Hawaii. His book is not only a guide to the magical places you can visit, it is also a guide to connecting with spirit and healing your life. A wonderful book that I highly recommend. Although it was written over ten years ago, it is even more relevent as we watch our world rapidly changing. Mahalo Pila!

There are a couple of places where the author veers off a bit but for the most part he draws the reader into the mystical side of Hawaii that captivates the imagination and adds a new layer of "must do" items for ones next visit to the big island.

I particularly enjoyed the parts where he explores the subtleties expressed in the Hawaiian language and how they relate to place names and metaphysical practices and experiences. I think the author does a good job of connecting modern places and practices to traditional Hawaiian belief and faith practices. His chapter on the Big Island's place of refuge is exceptional in this regard.

The book is written in an easy to read fashion... But don't be fooled! Even if you gobble the words down like a good meal.. there is much more you will me digesting...
The essence remembering Joy is something that will forever remain in my heart..!

Pila of Hawaii takes you on a journey through paradise, all around the Big Island, but also through paradiscal realms within us all, while also sharing with us some of his own amazing journey. Pila opens the door to the little known esoteric world of Hawaiian spirituality, making it accessible to anyone willing to take to look and to open themselves. And he does all this in a style that is easy and fun to read. He leads the way joyously with a descriptive style that has you humming along as you follow his courageous. Thanks Pila. Whenever I get homesick for the islands, I just pick of the "red book" and I am back home again.

After reading many amazing books on Hawaiian Philosophy and more specifically Huna and Kahuna teachings, I must say - this is one of my favourite books. This book is so much fun to read and has many, many secrets to share.

I borrowed a friends copy of this audio book and was so impressed I had to get my own copy. Truly a gem and wonderful resource giving a tremendous amount of insight to intuition and spirituality

This is by far one of the best purchase I have ever made. Carolyn does an excellent job at explaning the 7 charkras. Truly amazing cd series. Highly recommended.

Carolyn Myss is brilliant, entertaining, witty, sarcastic, irrational, and high-handed at any given time. She admits that she teaches rather than heals because she isn't good at one on one. But she is a gifted teacher. Listening to the CDs the third time I still gained more information and have since shared them with friends of like mind. If you're drawn to increasing your knowledge of the spiritual journey, this is a great set of CDs to listen to. She offers several interesting theorys, some believable, some not, but still entertaining.

If you are feeling open and you'd like to "wake-up" today - I HIGHLY recommend this audiobook. You can thank Caroline Myss for her insight into the non-material presence in this life and with shining wisdom, bringing it quickly to the material world. This is a wonderful spiritual and scientific lecture series, not to mention a very exciting journey to listen to (even if you never enact her beliefs into your life). It has helped me profoundly with balancing my energy and I did not have to be a mystic to get it. She is a very good teacher.

This audio book is easily listened to in 9 hours, while driving in rush hour traffic on your way to work, but be forewarned that Caroline Myss is not joking around when she embodies the teacher's archetype. What was once a mundane rush hour drive will turn into a vibrant interaction of the energy paradigm. She will teach you and if you are at all a skeptic like I was (esp. about Chakras and unseen mysteries), thinking that you've got the world materialistically figured out, and your reality beat, then you are in for a sharp and exciting surprise. You may find yourself sliding down the rabbit hole of "Who am I? and "Why am I doing this?" and "What is the purpose of my life?" and "Where am I, now?"

These types of awareness-based questions are implied throughout her tales and experiences with anatomy of our body's energy systems. Thankfully, with insight, clarity and precision, Dr. Myss explains exactly what we are made of and it is very reassuring to know that when we do start to ask these questions of a deeper nature, there are guides like Caroline Myss who are brave enough to teach the stuff.

If you think that you might benefit from "therapy", listen to this program. A large part of the effort of therapy is getting an individual to open to themselves, to see themselves as they really are, as a precursor to making changes in their life. Caroline Myss' recordings of "Energy Anatomy" and "Advanced Energy Anatomy" open the door to that introspection, giving you a framework in which to see your past life, and present actions. True, you may not agree with everything she says. But I guarantee you will find yourself nodding in agreement over and over again, at the insightful ways she presents the workings of human minds and emotions. And you will find Caroline Myss offering you answers to many of the questions you've asked yourself ("Why do I do this?" "Why did I do that?") over the years. I'm not recommending you forego therapy, if you really need it. Professional therapy can be very valuable. But I am saying that Caroline's recordings are a terrific way of getting in touch with yourself, and seeing yourself clearly (maybe for the first time), regardless of whether you want to pursue professional counseling, or not. And because (as Caroline says) the mind and emotions are prime determinants of the health of the body, this is an excellent series for anyone interested in taking good care of their body, and creating the best health possible for a vibrant and very happy life. "Energy Anatomy" offers a new way of looking at yourself, at others, and at the world around you, and this program may be the best thing you try this year.
