This is an amazing assortment of ideas contained in one slim volume that covers everything from school administrative issues in early childhood education to understanding grandparents in the lives of children to siblings in early childhood educaton. All of the chapters are focused on the idea of strengthening the relational connection between young children and the most influential human forces in their lives.

I feel quite blessed to have been a part of co-writing a chapter (on preventing homelessness in very young families) from the book along with the illustrious Dr. Kevin Swick.

Great perspective on what effective school leaders should be, why they should be that way, and how to become it.

I recently checked this book out from the library. I liked it so much I want to buy it. It is very helpful for those of us teachers in districts that stress posted objectives, Critical Thinking questions/models, and so much more. The author is to the point, gives examples, and was very helpful for the 1st year teacher. It's a small book...and easy to read.

The Field Guide to Teaching is a must-have for all teachers. Most other books I read try to focus on the academic aspect of education and teaching. Marchesani takes a practitioner-based approach to teaching, which incorporates the real-life experiences that teachers new and old will face. This book also serves a great supplement to veteran teachers who want to refresh themselves on the basics of the American education system. The CD also provides ample curriculum templates and ideas that can benefit all teachers. I highly recommend that anyone interested in education should definitely use this as one of their prime resources.

A great tool for both players and coaches. I really enjoyed learning more about the players and then taking their drills and working on my game.

I'm on chapter 10 of this book and I've only found one error so far, which is simply amazing (the preloader demo referred to in the book is missing from their web site, which is a trivial thing since it works perfectly using the files from the CD that comes with the book). Shane Rebenschied is thorough. He explains everything in detail, so that it is crystal clear. I own a couple other books by this publisher and both of them are as good as this one. I would highly recommend this book.
