Having gone through REBT, this book was a good guide to help me pinpoint those areas where I still needed help.

It is easily broken out into sections that help you identify the source of your discomfort and then shows you how to deal with that discomfort.

REBT shows you that most of the difficulties you have with others can be transformed simply by you changing your perspective and attitude. It shows you that you don't have to control the world and that others don't have to change their negative behavior for you to feel alright with yourself.

The processes in the book are wonderfully freeing. The weight of the world seems to fall off your shoulders and your anxiety levels decrease.

A must have for anyone who feels like they are stuck in a corner. This book will free your mind to think of new and different alternatives.

Very insightful and helpful. Pick this up.

Steve Abramson's Guide to Qualified Retirement Plans is much more readable, and easier to use for research, than any of the other books in the Aspen Publishers household.

It's very comprehensive, yet sprinkled with real-world examples.

I've been involved in the planning, design, implementation, marketing and sales of retirement plans for business for 25 years. I prefer using this book to rifling through my memory or the internet, or hoping I can get a hold of one of my TPA contacts when I need them.

Everyone who is hiring will benefit from Finding Keepers. In my three decades of involvement with employment selection, I must admit that following their process of being customer-focused instead of focusing on our on interests is not easy. However, I am convinced that if you want the best talent, you must follow their AAA formula: Attracting,Aquiring, Advancing. This book helps you change the way you are look at your role as a recruiter. They take a meticulous boring process and make it a lot of fun! They inspire us to get our arms around what I call the "massive passive market"(70% of the workforce) and make them want to come to work for us!

I THINK THIS BOOK IS EXCELLENT FOR THOSE WHO WISH TO LEARN TO SIGN. ITS GREAT FOR BEGINNERS, BUT ALSO ADVANCED USERS. I FOUND IT VERY CHALLENGING TO LEARN HOW TO SIGN BUT THIS BOOK WAS VERY HELPFUL, AND I RECOMMEND IT TO PEOPLE OFALL AGES WHO WISH TO LEARN TO SIGN. I NOW HAVE MANY DEAF FRIENDS, BECAUSE AFTER I USED THIS BOOK, I VISITED MANY DEAF PEOPLE AND BECAME FRIENDS WITH THEM. IT IS A GREAT BOOK AND HAS HELPED ME FOUND GREAT FRIENDSHIPS.

This is an unblievable book about flexible work options. It has helped my company very much. I would recomend this book to everyone!

The book edited by Dr. Sturmey, at the same time provides us with an excellent explanation regarding struturalists and functionalists approaches, and talks about several types of behaviors classified as psychiatric. This text presents the analysis of the contingencies that can determine psychiatric problems as well as the radical behavioristic's interpretation of those behaviors and the treatment proposed due to that interpretation. It is an useful tool for clinicians and teachers that work with behavior therapy or even for applied behavior analysts.

This book was very helpful. As an engineer at a zeolite manufacturing company, the book was very informative. The book enabled me to have a greater understanding of the processes in which our products are used.

The book is well organized with a brief, but necessary, introduction to thermodynamics and kinetics. After that, the authors procede into feedstock details, what to expect from using different types of coal, petcoke, biomass and waste. I especially liked the cost estimate information. I guess I realized without realizing it that the authors were right about their description of the problems with biomass (including ethanol): the bulk transporation costs are a killer. (I worked at ADM for a while, and always suspected it. I already knew about our problem with disposing of waste, which amounted to perhaps a large amount of our biomass produced. ADM sold it to farmers.)They also introduced some novel thoughts on feedstock being considered such as building plants on the coastline and burning algae while using solar power (and perhaps tidal power) as well as an abundant supply of water to provide feedstock ---- an interesting idea. After feedstock, the author describes briefly, in a catalog fashion, the wide variety of gasification approaches that exists, breaking them up into three basic categories: moving bed, fluid bed, and entrained flow. Cross comparisons are made of each. Next, a chapter on practical issues covers specific details that would have bogged down the previous chapter. The remainder of the book covers applications, auxiliary technology, economics and safety, and finally, environmental. The summary at the end should be read first to give you a clue where the technology is going, especially with the IGCC (Integrated Gasification Combined Cycle). The IGCC seems to be the direction the power companies are exploring. I especially liked all the details on the efficiencies of the state-of-the-art desulfurization and mercury removal, and CO shifter catalysts. The book abounds with block diagrams: I wish more books used this approach. The terminology is a little challenging but there is a good index in the back. Failings: (1) the index is poor -- needs work in the second edition; (2)work on mercury is proceeding --- perhaps after the copywrite date; (3) the book binding is not too great --- I wore my out after a month of thorough reading; (4) a few diagrams mimicing what is shown on the IGCC Wabash site might be useful --- step by step processing of one gasification reactor; (5) perhaps a little more work describing acid gas treatment and desulfurization --- maybe an update is required. All-in-all, an excellent, inexpensive text by authors who know their material and can present it wisely.

As an addendum, I suggest getting a copy of "Synthetic Fuels from Coal," by Anderson and Tillman, CR 1979, John Wiley. This older book seems to be the grandfather version of Gasification. Despite its age, it is excellent background and has much historical information unavailable in Gasification.

A good addition to a professional library, this book lists print, media, and computer resources for studies of Asia and its individual countries. An introduction section gives hints and tips, then the book is divided into print and nonprint, web sites, keypal/penpal sections. World resources web sites and indexes are given at the end.

Like any book with web addresses, you may find some changed or gone, but a trial on a sampling of sites was usually successful (i.e. most worked). The summary and grade level suggestions given with each resource are helpful, and the author seems to have worked to include materials for lower grades as well as upper.
