This has to be the best text on arbitrability that I've ever seen, without a doubt. As an admirer of Judge Hodgson's writing in the past, I looked forward to this volume for a long while.

A handy sized, informative guide to rivers in our area. We have used this to plan numerous trips on rivers and have found the guide to be (relatively) accurate and easy to use. Having said that, we discovered (duh!) that rivers change over time and that this guide is a great STARTING point for trip planning. Good scouting and maybe talking to people with experience on the river in question are valuable parts of good trip prep. There is a website for the book where people can submit changes or inaccuracies that they have discovered - this helps to keep the guide current. All in all one of the best we've looked at.

I found the atlas to be very accurate, easy to read and most of all a great deal for the price. I used it extensively on my New England vacation and highly recommend it to anyone who plans to visit the New England states.

Some stories are better written than others. There are some gramattical errors, otherwise it is hard to put down the book.
Our group in Los Angeles is working on a simillar book with about 30 participants.

I have lived in Ansonia all my life (33 years) and to look through this book and see how life was like back then was fasinating. Going back in time and looking at the photos was incredible. It was also fun sharing this book with my Dad who is also a life-long resident(72years). He's lived half this book! The level of detail was excellent.The people who live in Ansonia are very proud of our heritage and this book exemplifies that to the fullest.

Ruth Glasser, already well known for her book on the role of music among Puerto Rican immigrant communities (My Music is My Flag), has made an original contribution to our knowledge of the history of Puerto Ricans in the United States with Aqui me quedo, a work of social history based largely on personal interviews with dozens of Puerto Rican residents of Connecticut. The work is also informed by a solid mastery of existing works on the subject, official documents, statistics, etc. Several aspects of the immigrant experience are examined: the family, problems of discrimination, work experiences, labor movements, political incorporation, forms of cultural expression.

The book is presented in bilingual form, with Spanish on one side of the page and English on the other. In short, this book is a precious resource, not just for the people directly concerned but more generally for anyone curious about the experience of Puerto Rican immigrants to the United States and their mode of integration.

Just like her other book, Animal Happiness, Vicki Hearne really makes you care for Bandit another animal outcast that she rescues. Hearne goes to court and fights for this dog. This is a great, heart-warming tale that any animal lover will fall in love with.
