If you ever need to do real estate finance law, this book is good for you! It covers many sections of real estate finance law so that you will know mostly real estate finance law when you are finished. Super book for doing things concerning real estate finance law. Even if you aren't going to do things concerning real estate finance law, this is a good book to read in case you ever have to.

As the title suggests, this book is for researchers faced with 'real world' challenges like limited time, money and the need to address a presenting problem or issue. Its chapters cover everything from how to write a research proposal to getting your research published and acting on your findings. In between, the reader is offered overviews on different data collection and analysis methods covering quantitative and qualitative approaches. Pages 244-6 offer an example of a well set-out questionnaire - something that anyone who has ever sat down to design a survey has probably wished for.

Real World Research will suit people from a variety of disciplines including health, education and the social sciences who are looking for a book to guide them through the research process. Well written and easy to read, it is also comprehensive enough to suit the 'dabbler' who wants to learn about a particular methodology but doesn't want commit themselves to an entire book on the one approach.

This guide is not pedantic or condescending in tone to the veteran or beginning educator. It is a down to earth guide with easy-to-follow suggestions. It provides a clear process by which anyone may engage in action research. It provides points for thinking and examples of each stage of the process. I used this text for writing my masters and I found it especially helpful when coming to conclusions about my data.

Vicki Brooks-McNamara and Danielle Torres' THE REFLECTIVE SCHOOL COUNSELOR'S GUIDE TO PRACTITIONER RESEARCH (9781412951104, $24.95) provides an excellent outline of skills and strategies for under served students and their counselors. Chapters provide a framework for gathering data and authenticating results to foster school-wide change, making for an excellent guide for any education library.

This book presents in the space of some 200 pages, split into 9 chapters, a clear and concise introduction to a state-of-the-art approach to requirements engineering (RE). It starts out by introducing a generic RE process, which is then instatiated, later in the book, into concrete processes for generating stakeholder requirements (i.e. user requirements) and system requirements.

The beautiful thing aboout this generic process (and the concrete ones to follow it) is that V&V and change management are intrinsically part of it. The authors are particularly strong in their treatment of traceability. They have gone into an unusual depth. The book has some good advice on writing better requirements . In particular, I find the idea of requirements boilerplates (i.e. templates for each class of requirements) extremely useful. The book concludes with an introduction/demonstration of the DOORS RE tool, from Telelogic (the affiliation of two of the authors).

Overall, this is an excellent book that every requirements engineer, should have on their desk.

Wilkinson, et al, provide short chapters that lay out the basic tools of research in a clear, concise manner. The subject headings and in-set boxes with lists and examples are immensely helpful.

It is an excellent book for those, who want to be up-to-date in his work as anesthetist for outpatient and dentist clinics. The problem list of the book is short, but complete and concrete. Nothing to add. Very useful book in everyday practice.
