to find out that my memory is still in tact and that my previous 'lapses' were not due to Alzhiermer's, instead due to my pre-occupation with other things. This book helped me overcome this by teaching me a few, very valuable tricks to avoid being distracted when I'm doing something I need to remember later.

Apparently I'm the first person to review this important book. I'm a little surprised about this, since Dr. Birch has excellent credentials and this is such a potentially important problem in a couple's sex life.

Anyway, what I was going to say was that I was interested in this book because I thought it might help me with my particular problem, but since I'm somewhat dyslexic, I misread the title as the "Management of Premature Masturbation," not premature ejaculation. That doesn't seem to be my problem. However, if I ever do get PE, I'm sure this book will be a big help. In fact, I sort of hope I do get it because it might save me some time, since I seem to have the exact opposite problem, which can be very time-consuming when it comes to sex.

Well, perhaps things aren't all bad. I've been told (assuming I decide to change careers some day), that my particular problem is actually quite useful and an advantage for professional gigolos.

I have just finished the book and I find it quite mind settling. How many health books tell you to change your life completely, right now. Dennis Kelly doesn't do that. He makes you feel that each day, each week is another stepping stone to reaching optimal health and well being. I have been overweight and out of shape for a long time and I will tell you that I feel that I have been given a ray of hope.

Dr. Robert Schwalbe's book addresses a daunting number of issues in 22 well researched , reader-friendly chapters. It is chock full of scientific information, but to me the most interesting sections concern the personal case studies used to illustrate the problems and challenges faced by men in their sixties, together with Dr. Schwalbe's suggested approaches to those challenges. Virtually all of the issues raised are very relevant to women in their sixties (of which I am one) as well. I highly recommend this book ! Jane A., Princeton, N.J.

I am reading this book for a graduate class and find it easy to read and full of useful information for the geriatric social worker. While I can find some value laden language, for the most part it is an excellent book with good resources. I would say this book could be of value to anyone working in geriatrics as it encompasses physical, mental, and emotional health as well as a look at family dynamics in relation to care.

This compilation of important issues in the field of Aging is authored by several renowned researchers. It is a volume which covers a broad range of cutting edge research findings and commentaries on research conducted within the last decade. This interdisciplinary look into the societal mechanisms that affect older adults includes support systems, cognitive training, and environmental supports. It touches on active life expectancy, disability, institutional life, and more. These treatises, brought together in one volume, add validity to each other on these cutting edge research topics dealing with maintaining competence in old age. I not only found this book to be informative for my independent research studies, but also rather enjoyed reading it. I think it is an important volume to have on your shelf if you are interested in the field of Aging, whether you are a current researcher, undergrad or grad student, or involved in the field of Gerontology in any way.

This book was written by my grandmother and she is indeed a great person. The book chronicles many amazing things my grandmother has done "by herself". From her trips over seas on cargo ships to her many adventures in life and so much more. She is an insiration to me in my own life and I am proud to be her granddaughter

This is a wonderful anthology. I also appreciated the fast delivery of the order.

This is an important read for anyone interested in gerentology in general, has older persons in their lives, or is interested in the psychological aspects of aging. Black has writen a book with great sensitivity and reason. No doubt that her work will continue to impress.
