Aging Books

I found Dr. Vernikos book very interesting. It has changed my daily life as I work to better harness gravity for my benefit. It all makes so much sense and is explained in a way that is easy to understand. This is not a book that I read cover to cover. Rather I slowly absorbed it chapter by chapter. I've re-read many parts of it and will keep it for future reference. I've emailed questions and Dr. Vernikos was happy to answer. I think we will hear more from her and on this subject in the future.

If Ms. Weinberg's book had been written decades earlier, I might have save both needless expenditures and crushing diappointments. Fortunately, her book is an invaluable guide on correcting past blunders as well as the defects of old age that overtake even the best-planned gardens. Ms. Weinberg's distillation of gardening knowledge obtained over many years make it my top reference book in gardening matters cultural and aesthetic. I recommend highly to novice and veteran gardeners alike.

Awesome book, nicely written by their authors, easy reading and great balance between time invested and the knowledge it brings. A must read book for geriatric related areas.

This is an excellent book! It is to the point. I'm currently using it as a reference for work and certification in geriatrics.

This product was exactly as the seller said that it would be. Just like new. This is a textbook that I was required to have for nursing school. It is very interesting and easy to read.

We all need a cheerleader. Lura Zerick is a marvelous cheerleader and role model. She encourages seniors to turn off the TV, choose to be happy, and go for it. I love her confessing that she paints her toe nails and shops at Victoria's Secret because it makes her feel more feminine. As for forgetting things, she says "What I forget most is that I'm an old person." Good reading - gives a Christian slant to some items. Good nuts and bolts for practical readiness - emotional, financial, etc.

excellent resource for anyone working with older adults. Lots of good tips to energize groups. Exercises can be adapted for individual counseling. Scripts included that can be edited as needed. Highly recommended.
