Loads of good information. Very well indexed. Can be used as a secondary source of information for lots of look ups. This book is also a good place to start your research. I don't know how she found all those cemeteries!

Since I, too, grew up in Boonville, I'm inclined in favor of this book--I'm sick of reading about people who grew up in New York. I'm also inclined to be highly critical--though I now live two thousand miles away, my hometown is dear to my heart. If Bob Davis has the audacity to write a book about Boonville, he'd better he get right. Well,he did! From the descriptions of food (". . . red Jell-o with marshmallows in it was a dessert. Green Jell-o with cole slaw in it was a salad.")to the interaction of children and adults (he's expected to apologize to an adult who nearly runs over him with a car), he's dead-on accurate. Even his thought patterns are straight out of Boonville ("I don't want to malign anybody either way, but I am pretty sure that all four of the town boys in my class were virgins when they graduated and that at least three-fourths of the country boys were not.") Highly readable and a font of information for people who think the Midwest is dull.

I was searching for my copy of this book and it appears to have disappear! I used to just have a wonderful feeling just touching the book and have recommended it to a number of people who apreciate art and that of Miss Okeeffe, especially. I find such stories of how the author, Ms. Patten would encourage Miss O'Keeffe to assist her as she made them bread and the pleasure the artist got from doing that simple task. I also found it very interesting the method O'Keeffe developed for her daily walks --- carrying stones in her pockets that helped her know how far she had walked. And the precision with which she requested her simple clothing be laid out! I do think the book was one that show the love the author developed for Miss Okeeffe and that the author also saw how destructive some of the artists so called friends treated her in the last months of her life!

This is a brilliant book for professionals and trainees alike, and for anyone who wants to bridge the gap between media history, the theory taught in Media and Communications courses and the real world of radio journalism.

The author (Tim Crook) writes in a clear, accessible style. His subject matter is extremely well researched and is presented in a way which makes the book highly readable.

A superior book and fun to read! In this publication Robert Stoor, Senior Curator of MOMA's Department of Painting and Sculpture, gives an extraordinary account of some carefully chosen examples of the museum's art collection. After viewing the exhibit, I purchased this book primarily because of its stunning assortment of color plates and illustrations. The value of Stoor's commentary, however, becomes quickly apparent. The narrative gives a brief but very revealing insight into most all of the works pictured in the book and adroitly articulates the conflicts, reactions, disparities, and shifting paradigms of modern art - often in conflict with twentieth century modernism. The book walks us through our last century, pausing at all the right places and examining all the right artists. The theme is easy to follow; the book is profoundly instructive.

Just a warning, as the title is in Spanish and English, I wasn't prepared for the whole book to be in Spanish. Oh well.

I just wanted to say that this book is my pride and joy. My poems range from love to loss and everything inbetween. This is my first book and I hope you enjoy it.

This book gives readers an accurate account of the History of Montgomery County, Georgia. It includes old pictures and maps and the names of the early founders. Great source for Genealogical research.

I had the honor of studying under Dr. Hilberry at Kalamazoo College from '85 to '87. I can tell you this man is the most humble genius I have ever met. His work reflects the genius of the author.
