This book is a really good source if you want to know how much your pokemon cards are worth. This book has the values of rares, commons, and uncommons. And it even has the values of japanese cards. If you want to get a pokemon price guide, i suggest you buy this one.

An excellent guide for all ages.

I am pleased to say that this excellent guide has brought much information about the incredibly popular Pokémon trading card game, and much knowledge about the Pokémon merchandise. Checkerbee Publishing has made a incredible value guide, considering that they included transalations for the Japanese poket monster trading card game, pictures of the cards, and such information is included in American Pokémon card game which is also featured in this book. Though this book has it's pros, it also has cons. No estimated prices are given about the American Fossil Cards, and few people are sure that the Japanese transalations are 100% accurate. Though, that should not stop you from buying this stupendous guide. I am very sure this will satisfy thous who are in need of Pokémon information.

Andy is one of the star baseball players on his baseball team, considering none of the other players show up to practice to get better than they are. One of his best friends, Tubby Watson, owns his grandpa's baseball cards. Just two months before he Andy's dad died in a car crash he had told Andy's mother that he wanted all of the cards that he had owed to be given to Andy to hold on to. One of the cards his dad had owned was worth twenty five hundred dollars compared to the card that Tubby owned that Andy wanted worth twenty-five cents. Do you think that he would trade that card for the one that's worth twenty-five cents?

This book, The Trading Game, is for males between the ages of ten and thirteen. I enjoyed this book a great deal because it was very easy to understand. It was not all that hard to read because of how well it was written, and it was easy for me to make a connection to it. My connection was that someone had something I wanted but they wanted something that was worth more. If you are the type of reader that enjoys sport books then this is the type of book for you.

I love this book because Andy was a good friend to Tubby, and I like books that teach me about being a good friend. I think Tubby was a good friend to Andy, because Tubby let Andy keep Ace 459. To find out what that means, read the book.

The book The Trading Game by Alfred Sloate is a good book in my opinion. The Genre of this book is General Fiction. This book is mainly about an eleven year-old boy, Andy, who's grandfather comes to town for some medical testing. With him he brings Andy's dad's old baseball cards from when Andy's dad was Andy's age. His dad had many baseball cards and he has some worth thousands of dollars. Andy will do anything to get his grandfather's card because his grandfather was in the major leagues and Andy looks up to him. Even if that means trading one of hia cards worth thousands, Then his grandfather decides to go to one of Andy's baseball practices and give them tips and just help out, Andy is very excited but one thing changes everything that Andy was warned about and. I think this book is very good and I would recommend this book anyone who likes fiction sports books.

Homebound from surgery for six weeks and unable to drive my car (or play golf) a thoughtful friend sent me this book to aid in my boredom. When it comes to arts and crafts I'm truly deficient but here was this delightful book full of ideas that even I could master. I sent my husband to the craft store for basic tools and I was on my way. Through these pages I found my creative bent. Look for yours.

Okay I won't lie, my art is in this book. I couldn't wait for it to be published and bought it immediately here on Amazon.com when available By the way, I researched and Amazon.com has the best price for the book.

First I checked for my art ha but a day or so later I started reading the book. Wow! I was blown away by all the wonderful information and techniques contained in the book.

I have been altering for about 2 years now and wish I would have had this guide when I started just to get the feel of how to do things and get some of the tips Allyson gives you in the book.

So, don't wait, get the book today and start altering!

I really enjoyed this book - I started scrapbooking recently but also wanted to try making altered books. This was a great start for me because the projects were very good, but not intimidating like some of the other projects I've seen in books. I have been able to get ideas from this book that I can really use.

This book has helped me get started with altering books and other items. I think it is particularly helpful for the scrapbooker who wants to try altered art.

The Encyclopedia of Non-Sport & Entertainment Trading Cards Volume 1: 1985-2006 is a useful guide if you deal in these product lines as I do. The pricing seems to accurately reflect marketplace trends. My one complaint is the layout of the pages themselves: I dislike the way this book is laid out because in some cases it is hard to tell exactly which picture they are speaking of in the text. They may talk about 10 different items or years of items on a page and then only show two pictures in the margins. The way it is laid out, it can be confusing as to what is being referred to. Otherwise, its a useful addition to any collector's shelf.

A good tool for understanding your relationship

These cards are quite interesting. They are specifically designed for understanding and healing one's relationship issues. They are not a divination tool, they are intended for the purpose of healing and insight. The work on the mirror principle (hence the title): the world is a mirror, reflecting back to us faithfully our inner world. The authors observe that in no area of life is this principle more visibly at work than in our personal romantic relationships. And they are right: our intimate partners always reflect back to us the parts of us that still need healing. For many of us, this is why we are in relationships in the first place: to deal with our with our stuff.

The cards are very pretty: all on a silvery smooth textured background, with great artwork and packaged in a very appropriately "mirror-like" shiny silvery box. The cards and their messages are all focused on relationship issues an are very insightful. Great cards to pick up when going through a bad patch with your significant other: they help to bring the real issue into focus, drowning out the inner noise. A good tool for personal growth.

The Pokemon Trading Card Game is a great way to be able to play the game without having to waste all the time by shuffling the deck and taking the cards. It is a fast, fun and effective way to play the game.

Overall good strategy guide. Lacks some details

Review Date: 2000-07-02
Prima's guide for Pokemon is pretty darn good. The layout is done nicely and explantions of the different parts of the game are done well. Maps and key figures are identified and the screen captures are nice and clear.

Out of the 226 cards that can be collected in this game, Prima does an excellent job in cataloging each one by power and energy type. They also give very helpful pro's and con's on each card and tell you which ones are worth having, and a few that you probably don't want to use in your deck.. An intersting side note: Prima also gives the origin on many of the card, that is, if they debuted in Japan or America first and when. Also, unique to the Gameboy are special cards only obtained in the Gameboy version.

There are some strategies on how to build certains decks that will aid you in defeating some of the club masters, and a nice feature is Prima identifies the club master and other boss decks so you can build a great deck before you encounter them.

The one drawback I see with this guide is the lack of card combinations descriptions. Though there are some, there are a lot more to be discovered that could have been written about. Also, if they can break down the decks of the club masters and bosses, they could have also done the same for other NPC's within the game, but give very vague guidelines/hints on most of the NPC's

Overall, a good buy for the price.

Another Great Pojo's Yu-Gi-Oh! Book
Helpful Votes: 12 out of 13 total.
Review Date: 2004-12-21
First off, this book is 144 pages, making it larger than most of the other Pojo's books. Nice!

This book is broken down into a few sections: Anime, TCG, DDM & Video Games.

Anime - BAZ from TVTome does about 10 pages of character bios, and 20 pages on the anime storlylines so far. Including a glimpse at things to come.

Trading Card Game - The bulk of the book. There are Top 10 Lists from all the sets (2 pages on each set). Then Decks to Beat by some of the best players in the world, and a lot of strategy articles and puzzles.

Dungeon Dice Monsters - Never played it, but there's an article on it.

Video Games - Pojo dedicates 1/2 page to every YuGiOh Video Game, and reviews them all. There's more than a dozen games, so its a decent section.

Overall, for about $10, this is well worth your money. About the same price as Beckett's YuGiOh magazine, but bigger and way better.
