This book is a long time coming. The influential Superstudio gang has been virtually absent from publication for decades, and this companion book to the 2003-2004 traveling exhibit is essential for understanding their work. There are essays by all the major figures as well as from the authors of "Life Without Objects." The inclusion of early exhibit photos, storyboards, and many of the lesser known graphics and projects is enlightening--and there are plenty of manifestos rendered in clearly read text.

I studied under Superstudio's Toraldo di Francia more than ten years ago, but there were a lot of things about his past work that were not clear, nor elaborated until I read this book.

Anyone interested in history in general will appreciate this book, and I would strongly recommend this book to anyone in architecture and the arts. A great effort and it's about time. Bravi (sic)

Nice book about an event in a little girl's life that introduces the child to Mary Cassatt and "Nipper," the dog.

This book is a dream! It highlights so many intriguing items. An impressive aray of astounding photographs and incredibly briliant text. This book reflects the author's genius ten fold.

I was amazed at the quality of the photography and other content of this book, which came in hard cover, for a little over $30. Highly recommended!

This book is a stunning pictorial record of Aronson's life-works. A densely packed book with an interesting narrative supplied by Frank Rich, this is a MUST for Musical Theatre lovers. The final chapters reveal the amazing talent Aronson brought to Sondheim's Golden period. The photographs of the stage design of COMPANY,FOLLIES,A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC and PACIFIC OVERTURES are to die for. An incredible book.

with much bigger ideas - a must for every graphic design and art student! - at the price, a real investment.

This is a truly excellent addition to the rather small literature on Thomas Hope. Every facet of his career and talents from Interior design,collecting and travel, furniture design, drawing and writing is discussed, as is his -and his family's - history. The catalogue section presents the history and significance of items designed and owned by him and his family. A worthwhile purchase for anyone interested in interior design, collecting or simply the lives of extraordinary individuals.

Outstanding historical perspective. Well written. A book worthy of being gifted. Will be appreciated by anyone with an interest in the arts and design.
