I have to say the photography in this book is BEAUTIFUL. The photographer somehow catches the best angles, and thus creates a deep sense of inspiration in the reader. The book also gives good recommendations of different species and what can be used in different environments (terrariums, submerged, etc.). Awesome book.

This is a wonderful book written by one of the greatest americans of our time. I keep it around, it is wonderful to flip through now and then and guests love it.

My grandfather was an avid racer and is mentioned in this book, which is how I came across it. My family has one copy which we pass around to remind us of "the old times". This is a wonderful book with all of the great names and the GREAT cars. It's good to see that all of the fun and work that went along with this sport is wonderfully captured to be remebered forever.

I just adore this Wee Little Kitchen Witch. She is just perfect and adorable. I can't believe she is exactly what I was looking for to put on my kitchen altar. I also love the little book that comes with her it has some great sounding recipes.

Oh I recieved her today and what a charmer she is. Even though she is small she is pefect for my kitchen alter. I dont have alot of space so the size is perfect. And the little book that came with her is packed full of ideas and things you can use. I plan on getting her for some of my friends. And the price was great too.

I truly adore this little kitchen witch. Although she is small (as is the book that accompanies her), her presence isn't. Just as the book says, she represents all of the kitchen witches all over the world, past and present, to bring about a sense of unity. The spellbook that accompanies her is small, but gives a lot of information. Although most of the information in the book will seem repetitive to most kitchen witches that have been practicing for a while, it is perfect for a newcomer. It is filled with simple magick tips and recipes that any modern kitchen witch will appreciate.

It doesnt have that much information, but the book is interesting, it worth the money

This is an excellent palm sized book that any wine lover - novice or expert - would enjoy having. It makes the `perfect' gift for wine tasting parties or as a stocking stuffer for the holidays. The book includes brief lessons on wine buying, wine storage, wine tasting and food paring, etc. Since they are `brief' lessons some wine experts might be hesitant to buy this book, but the thing I love most about this book was the wine related quotes that are inter-spread throughout the book. I think everyone would enjoy these quotes, and are worth the price of the book itself. Here are some of my favorite quotes from the book:

This is an absolute must-have if you're having a wine tasting party. These cute palm-size books make excellent thank-you gifts or party bag gifts for those attending your tasting. And, they can easily be carried about as you shop at your favorite store for a wine to go with the evening's meal.

What wonderful words from some outstanding people to offer to a new child! Nice collection! A definite "coffee table" book to leave out for company to read.

This is a wonderful and unique collection of advice that came out a loving gesture from a father to a son. I glance at it every so often and read a few pages for inspiration now and again. I also sent one to a friend expecting his first child.

Johnathan Crawford has put together a comprehensive collection of articles on toy soldiers together with a large `yellow pages' directory of dealers, stores, manufacturers, suppliers and publications to make this book THE Toy Soldier Book to get hold of.

The best thing that I like is its `up to date', published late '98, it has an article that deal with "Cyber Soldiers on the Web" which, as you are reading this via the internet, it is most relevant to our hobby. The advertising and sales via Internet,together with the exhibitions of toy soldiers, such as my site, will come even more to the forefront into the next century.

The 220-page spiral bound book, contains articles which will provide the reader with much background into all aspects of our hobby. There one article from Jonathan on "Better Toy Soldier Modeling, Casting & Painting" which has help helped me with my painting, simple tips, but things that I hadn't thought about.

Both British and American plastics have historical articles that trace their rise in the 1950's and also Composition Figures are well covered in Jack Matthews pages covering Elastolin, Lionel, other manufacturers, types of figures and collecting hints. Heyde Figures also feature so this has been an awakening to me about this German manufacturer .

I really enjoyed reading the pages on "Getting Started", "So You Want To Collect" and "Thoughts On Collecting", they are most relevant to all of us who are collecting, What era should I specialise in? What type of figures? Should I only collect one particular country, corps, pose, or age. The possibilties are endless, but read these pages and hopefully you may be able to rationalise your collection, or make it bigger!

Britains is heading in a new direction, so you can meet the people who will be guiding it into 2000. There are interview with both the UK and USA staff so we can all get to know who is at the helm of the flagship of toy soldiers. I had not realised what had been going on behind the scenes but by reading the interviews you will appreciate the work that has and will be happening with the new releases of their figures.

They wide use of images that have been well placed into all the articles are most relevant to the text, and enhance the content. They say, "a picture is worth a thousand words", so you are getting quite a coverage of toy soldiers from all around the world. I found the advertising very useful and as it gives many contacts to follow up if you are searching for a particular type of soldier or manufacturer. The Photo Picture Page are a great addition, I can put face to names that I read about, maybe it's a bit of a rogues gallery, but I leave it to you to see and comment.

The extensive use of URLs and email addresses in the advertising has showed me how much the Internet is growing and it use in sales of toy soldiers. Many of the manufactures and suppliers and shops now have websites or email addresses. This means that you can sit in front of your computer and converse with the manufacturer, shop owner, or publisher and find out what is new, is it in stock, can you order it, all at the touch of a key pad. The comprehensive "Yellow Pages" Directory list not only dealers, stores and manufacturers, but also casting and suppliers, auction houses, restoration services and publications. They have been arranged by country, and classification, so it is very easy to check "Where is my closest supplier?", or "Who is the contact there?". One very useful page lists the time chart so you know what time to telephone, and includes the International Telephone County Codes (for those without email!)

What more can I say, "get out and buy one" and see for yourself.

I first used these meditation balls while doing occupational therapy for thumb surgery due to severe arthritis. My therapist highly recommended them to help regain my range of motion and relive stiffness and swelling.
I liked them so much that I bought a set of my own. They really do help for anyone who has had hand surgery or has carpal tunnel syndrome. I am totally satisfied with them and highly recommend them for anyone with the above mentioned symptoms. They are of outstandig quality and the handy little pouch and the included booklet make them easy to carry with you anywhere you go, and explains how to use them.

I own a pair of these balls in a larger scale, but this kit is perfect for carrying in the purse, the pocket or anywhere you like, thanks to the tiny bag included. They are not heavy at all.
The design of the book and the balls have changed slightly, so maybe the kit you'll buy would be different from the one shown as reference.
When you use the balls, you can actually hear them make a bell-sound like.
Be careful when handling them; if you drop them and they hit the floor, this can cause they lose their round shape or the enamel that covers them.

I bought these meditation balls last year to use for exercising my hands for carpal tunnel syndrome. They have helped greatly and the miniature size is perfect for smaller hands. I am now ordering two more sets for my grandchildren who love to use them when they visit.

As a previous reviewer stated, I wish I had read this book before beginning my big dollhouse project. It is full of good practical advice, written clearly and with many wonderful illustrations. I will employ her suggestions in future projects.

This was a great book to give you a gameplan for completing your dollhouse. It tells you how to put together your dollhouse from buying to decorating. I wish I had read this before I started, but I'm glad I picked it up before I finished. Very detailed!

M's Molina has put together a fantastic book on the art of thread crochet bears. I don't even work with thread that much, but this book has me reconsidering that philosophy. The panda bear is just calling to me to be crocheted, as well as the polar bear.
M's Molina's instructions are clear and concise. The patterns get progressively more difficult, but you can stick to the "easy ones" and still be quite happy with the outcome.
I recommend this book highly to all who are interested in making teddy bears, especially thread teddy bears.

The first two are very easy: the bears have straight arms and legs. The next two have bent arms, and the last two are a little more complicated. Each of these patterns will add to your knowledge and enjoyment of the art of thread teddy bears. The instructions are easy to follow, each pattern has a diagram to assemble the bear and color photographs of the finished bear.
