This book is for the beader who doesn't want to stop at just putting beads together, but who now wants to make the beads themselves, and to try some creative new techniques for jewelry-making. For people who have time to make their own beads, there are instructions for beads of clay, wire, metal sheeting, meltable plastic, and paper. The photos show very professional results, and the jewelry made with these beads look like what you might see in a jewelry boutique.

Other projects in the book include jewelry made with knotted hemp and beads, and some interesting uses of wire. A few necklaces are made with beads joined by stitching or on a loom. A final section has projects for decorating your home with beads and wirework, such as vases, clothing accessories, a frame, and windchime.

These projects are for the serious-minded beader who has time to dedicate to expanding their skills with beads. The instructions are very good and close-up photos show the steps clearly.

Not finished with this book but so far a witty and insightful book which focuses on graphic design beyond printed matter. This book explores the world of digital graphics and looks at new dimensions of graphic design and how designers will become part of a dialogue with the public. A scenario in which they receive feedback from an audience and perfect there design solutions based on feedback from viewers reactions etc.
And of course Heller has become an authority on Design Culture so this book is informed and up to date.

The Being Game is a wonderful book, it is short and to the point and can accompany the actual The Being Game.

This book is as beautiful as it is complete. The idea of having a being buddy, someone to whom you declare who you'll be today is a wonderfully simple idea, but Sid and Kathy show you so many insightful ways to be even more.

Reading this book will give you a new way of seeing possibilities in you and in those you love. This is a book that every spouse or loved one should give away to another.

I dare say if you read this book today, your tomorrows can never be the same.

Buy this book, read it and then encourage someone you love to do the same . . . then become being buddies.

I enjoyed reading this books, explanations are thorough and clear, examples are thought provoking but not too hard,
teaches lots of principles in defense

If you're like me you have a difficult time wrapping things. Some people don't have the patience to do so, and admittedly I'm one of those people! You can't deny the beautiful and original flower designs on this particular giftwrap paper, so I recommend you buy and use it whenever you have to wrap a gift for someone. So what if you don't do a good job wrapping it- it's the thought that counts.

The first book in this series was not nearly as good as this one! Matt James, the author of both and extremely good garden designer really hones his craft in this book.
The books are essentially about amalgamating the concepts of gardening and design, so Matt not only aims to give you knowledge of plants, shrubs and trees, but also asks you to consider how you might use them, how they can fulfill your gardening and lifestyle needs. He designs everything from the slighest balcony of a flat to sizeable victorian terrace gardens. The principles are of use outside of the UK, people want a natural life in urban spaces the world over and this demonstrates our innate need for the outdoor life! I note this page asks for applicants for Matt's next graden makeover TV series and I would encourage anyone outside the UK, who is looking for a garden design and makeover, to apply. This Bloke REALLY knows what he is doing and what he is taking about and his writing style reflects his personality well, (at least if his TV self is real!) he is passionate but relaxed and easy going. Maybe I'm biased too but I think British Gardeners are amongst some of the best!

This is the latest book I have purchased by Ann Benson. She is one of the best instructions and illustrations for beading techniques I have encountered. I have many of her books, and have purchased many of her kits offered on her website. Her choice of colors are subtle in a time when everything is so bold. Her style is more European. I can't reccommend this book more highly.

Whenever I see a product with Bruce's name and Dover press, I automatically know that I will enjoy it, and this is no exception. This book includes other works by Bruce: "Cars of the Fifties," "American Muscle Cars" and "Luxury Cars."

As I stated in another review, I often find myself in situations where I am waiting on my companion as she shops, conducts business or visits. So in those times of waiting, I pull out my trusty lap desk, my colored pencils and an adult coloring book -- this time, Bruce La Fontaine's "Classic Cars."

The pictures are meticulously rendered. They all include backgrounds and some include people as well. So you better have some flesh color, sienna, ocre, umber and many shades of green amoungst your colors. Bruce includes enough detail to keep a conscientious coloring maven busy for hours. It takes me about two hours to color a page. I especially enjoy the stonework and plants.

I use Crayola and Rose Art pencils and have recently addded some Prangs, Loews and Faber Castels to my pencil inventory. I have tried Prismacolor, but they tend to be too soft for me.

If you are an adult into coloring and you enjoy meticulous detail, this is a coloring book you will enjoy.

I recentley signed this book out at my local libray and just had to add it to my own collection.
the book gives easy to follow instuctions on how to create a number of different arrangements using
various materails. It even has a section on basic design tools. this book is a must have for the beginner as well
as a pro.

I've had this book for a few years now and bought if before I discovered Amazon.com. I heard such excellent reviews about it that I contacted the author in England and requested a book from him directly. I'm very glad I did. This book covers every aspect of clock design and construction. The title is perfect. If you have always wanted to build your own clock (we're talking gears, plates, pinion, the whole works), then this is the book for you! I cannot recommend this book highly enough. It covers so much information that it is my #1 reference when I have a clock works question. I have read it dozens of times and always seem to pick up something new. If you are serious about building a clock, then you know that clock making books are rare. This one is excellent. 5 stars isn't enough. Plenty of detailed drawings make the explanations perfectly clear. Don't be thrown off by it's size.... though the book is thin (144 pages) it is full of very usefull information.
