Golf Books

A fantastic book. Has golf quotes, golf film reviews, and even golf jokes and tips. Excellent book for all golfer's and very unique. Highly recommend. Even fun for non-golfers.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and recommend it highly to any golf enthusiast! It's about a group of 8 middle-aged men going on a golf trip to Scotland and the courses they play while there. St. Andrews, Carnoustie, Turnberry, Muirfield -- all the courses you dream about playing after watching the British Open. More than just a travel journal of a golfer's dream vacation, the book is a collection of the conversations of reunited friends who reflect on the past, and think about their futures, all while immersed in the historic beauty of the motherland of golf. I think it would make a great birthday or father's day present for any golfer in the family.

The hero of this rolicking spoof of a golf manual is a cross between Arnold Palmer and all Three Stooges rolled into one. The jokes come at a very fast pace and just when you think Des Ormeaux can't possibly come up with another crazy event or over-the-top one liner, he hits another long drive. This would be a great movie staring Bill Murry.

Harvey Penick's "Little Red Book" is a must for golfers young and old. With Harvey's tips, guidelines, and observations pertaining to the game of golf, the reader can see how simple the game of golf can be explained. Harvey states, "We all have to check our mistakes, but it's impossible to go through the list before each stroke." I suggest every golfer have "The Little Red Book" in his or her arsenal of golf publications.

My kids love all the books to the story reader. Great for traveling.

Another great book from Taylor publishing on golf courses. The author picks some famous and less well-known courses to review. Some of his descriptions are rather touching and show his love for the game.

Bill Junker has an awesome story of a little Akron based rubber company that makes it big! It is a great story of inginuity and I would recommend it to EVERY golf enthusiast in the world.

I've been trying to find out about this book. All I can find so far is a listing for it with rare golf books for sale. They wanted a minimum of $100 bid for it. Here's what they said about it:
