The author followed Utd in their 93/4 double winning season. Written from a fan's point of view but loads of great background stuff on the Cantona era at Old Trafford.

Good digs at Liverpool too as the title suggests.

It shows that not all people forget where they come from and thats rare now days. It was refreshing to read about how he grew up with little and shared his success with his family after he made it big. Loved it

A must for Chiefs' fans. An interesting history lesson as well as all the top games in the great Stadium's history. You could swear you were back in the stadium for the Montana-led Chiefs vs. the 49ers game. The hundreds of color pictures alone are worth the price of the book!

This is a great way to learn the history of that great soccer team from England, Arsenal, chock filled with colour and b/w photos to boot. Because this is an ongoing history, this book reads like a financial statement in that it's only accurate as at a period in time. For any history dated after 1996, you'll need to get the most updated edition i.e. 2006. Lots of great successes have accrued to Arsenal since 1996 and so this is now obsolete and is rightfully out of print. However, when I got this in 1996, I found it to be a great wealth of knowledge on the beginnings and the evolution of my favourite English soccer team. Recommended for all Arsenal fans.

One of the best books on offesive line play that I have read to date. Coach Tenopir teaches coaches about OL play with the same patience and understanding he uses with his players. The breakdown and analysis of Nebraska's inside zone, outside zone, counter and trap games leaves little to the imagination. He puts it all out there for everybody to see and then dares defensive coaches to stop it. In addition, his chapters on practice routines and offseason conditioning make this book a year round tool for today's coaches. I highly recommend this book to any OL coach just starting out, a 10-year veteran in need of a new perspective and re-kindling of passion for the game, or an old vet looking for a new scheme or two.

This is the best book I have found on officiating soccer. It was very helpful when I was a beginning referee and grows in value as my experience increases. I read it annually before the season begins and I learn more with each reading

This book written by Mr. Longoria is a unique sports narrative which gives any sports fan another aspect on the history of professional football. Aptly entitled "Athletes Remembered," Mr. Longoria documents the stories of the Latino athletes in a positive and very interesting style. I personally was unfamiliar with many of these athletes; however, I enjoyed reading their stories and learning about these talented players. My professional background is education and I firmly believe that this book would be a tremendous reading experience, not only for Latino children, but for children from all ethinic backgrounds. While Latino children will more readly identify with these athletes, they are really establishing role models for all children, regardless of their ethnicity.

This was the best book I have ever read. I read it twice in one night and I wrote a book report on it. The main characters were very interesting and the action parts were alot of fun.I have read alot of sports books and this was the best.

Black and Manlove's book on Belly Option football is one of the best football books I have read. Whether or not you run the Belly Option or a variation of the Belly Option this book has great value as a strategic planner. The book goes into detail on the various defenses seen in the course of a given year and it deliniates the strengths and weaknesses of each. The book focuses on a logical plan of attack. Another exceptional section is the one on press box organization and what scouts should look for during a game.

This entertaining publication traces the history of the worlds biggest soccer club through the sports pages of the worlds newspapers. This in depth study contains newspaper cuttings from each season since 1878, together with photographs, cartoons and illustraion. This excellent title includes information on events such as the 1958 Munich air disaster, and the club's triumph in the European Champions Cup in 1968. Sports fans everywhere will be entertained with this well written tribute to the Red Devils.
