I have used this book for past 3 years in my classroom (college). Easy to read, comprehend, and error free. Looking forward to the 2007 edition.

The books title is true. If you don't have alot time to learn Access, this small book will give you a crash course that still manages to teach some of the most important topics. I have looked at and used other books and this is the best short course I've seen.

I use these books in our classroom here at The Caribbean Institute of Technology and our Students find it very easy to follow and I would reccommend it to anyone who want to to learn Microsoft Word 2000 in a hurry

This is a deceptively short (229 pages), remarkably rigorous and in-depth introduction to many of Word 2002's basic features. It gives you hands on examples of how to use these features and guides you through your first experience in doing them yourself. It forces you to explore different ways of accomplishing the same task so that you will have them in your arsenal when you are on your own. Upon completing this book, you will have learned, in short order, many essential business features of Word 2002. You will not be an expert in them, but you will be ready to take on meaty assignments with the software. Cosmetically, this book is sound as well. The pages are larger than your general computer book, the print is larger and easier to read, the graphics, while not full screen size, are large and clear enough so you can clearly see what they are referring to, and whenever they instruct you to click on an icon, a picture of it is featured in the outside margin next to the sentence making it very easy to find it on the screen itself. Finally, there are tasty little tidbits in the footnotes throughout the book. Unnecessary to read for the training exercises, they explore features beyond what is covered in the book itself giving you room to develop your skills on your own with your own examples. All in all an excellent introductory training manual that will get you up to speed in no time at all.

This book is designed to teach the individual Microsoft Word at a non technical level. It is great for those who like to self teach. The information is detailed and easy to follow. I would recommend this book to anyone who was beginning to learn Word

I like this book for my histology class because it has a great online link to a lot of questions, questions in the back of the book (USLME style) and it has amazing succinct info on histology.

If you're a med student and don't have time for your histology class, this will teach you what you need to know for exams in an organized manner. Good luck.

This is a great book for medical students. I'm really glad I bought it, wish I had it for my MS1 year!
I am using it to board study along with FA.

I was completing my dissertation in Clinical Psychology when I hit the wall. I am not fluent in the language of statistics and SPSS was much too complicated for me to understand immediately. I acquired this book from a friend and I can't tell you how much this book saved my life! It explained not only how to use the program in very easy steps, it explained WHY and HOW to pick your statistical procedures in language that was simple. Reading through the book and looking at the examples helped me understand how to pick the appropriate statistical procedures (and why), how to enter the data, how to pull down the appropriate tests, and how to look at the data calculations and make conclusions. THere are no wasted pages in this book (88 pages) and I swear it helped me get through my dissertation on my own (which I passed!). Don't hesitate to buy this book if you are working on your psychology or social science thesis or dissertation. It's a fantastic resource!

Congrats. This book facilitates a) introducing the topic of cyber space in sacred mosaic, and b)leads the readers to a higher platform. Democratic vistas calls for information access. The book in hand does fulfill this indeed. It is for the reader, surfer, viewer, to move on (if they desire to find virutal realities) in synchronous and seemless environments.
