Ethics in ScienceReview Date: 2000-04-13
A book every aspiring scientist should read.Review Date: 2000-06-20
I'd like to see a new edition of this, with coherent beginning-to-end coverage of some of the high-profile cases that have surfaced in the years since its original publication. Younger scientists may have a hard time piecing together a complete story from the fragments of coverage in the news and in trade magazines.

a worthy follow up to 100 years.Review Date: 2001-11-12
I was confident this latest offering would be a worthy addition to my, or any ardent truck enthusiasts book collection.
I was not dissapointed!
If you are familiar with Rons previous work you will enjoy the many photos, and good quality ones at that, included in Big Rigs of the 1950's accompanied with his usual short but interesting
brief history and comments.
Big Rigs covers all main manufacturers as well as a few lesser known brand documented in mostly black and white shots, but theres enough color plates (approx 73) to bighten up the book.
All photos are of a good size.
If you are an avid truck photographer or enthusiast of either new
or older trucking history ,in this case American, you will
appreciate this book.

One of the BEST books on B&W Photography!!Review Date: 2008-05-08
Quality PhotographyReview Date: 2007-07-07
Mulligan's description of how to apply the Zone System to film exposure and film development is easy to understand and to apply. His description of the technique that he uses to print fine art photographs using a split-contrast printing is also well done. You should read this book if you are serious about Black and White photography as art.

Beautiful!Review Date: 2004-06-26
and is the Professor of Photography & Imaging at New York
University's Tisch School of the Arts. In BLACK: A CELEBRATION OF A
CULTURE, she has compiled over 500 photographs vividly displaying
African-Americans in all areas of life to include: fashion, sports,
worship, with family, and more. It is a wonderful collection that
showcases the beauty, success, and the societal place African-
Americans have carved for themselves in a country in which we weren't
really invited.
Not only does it show the images that we're familiar with in the
history of our race, but it also shows those common moments of
everyday things validating the famous saying, "pictures are worth a
thousand words." It is a reflection of our lives and one of the most
rewarding ways of recording ones memories. There's something to
represent everyone and everything of our past and present: from
little boys playing sports, to little girls in Sunday dresses and
jumping rope and further back in times of civil rights
demonstrations, in the cotton fields, and back to the present
spotlighting weekends hanging out with the family.
There's nothing missing in this brilliant and beautiful collector's
item. The rich culture displayed in this book is one that should be
shared by everyone and one that each of us should mimic in our own
families, through our photo albums, scrapbooks, or other honorary
spots we've made for archiving our bloodline. It is "one story--our
story--told through photographic imagery."

Excellent Book on a Forgotten PlaneReview Date: 2002-11-27
Although not a particularly effective fighter, in the bomber role it was used against shipping, and for recon. There were a plethora of squadrons across the RAF, RCAF, RAAF and Free French. This books gives you squadron designations, markings and the full kit of someone flying the rig. I actually still possess the flying suit for this machine in Canada. It also gives you their major varients, development their eventual disbandment. It includes a lot of reminiscenses from wartime pilots as well.
Athough my mate is now flying Blenheims of God's own eternal squadron, mere mortals like us can still enjoy the plane he loved so much when he was alive. A very nice volume.
