Anyone interested in the life and art of Rick Griffin, or in psychedelia in general, must purchase this book.

I'd seen much of this art, but there was a great deal of his early work I had not seen before, and it is all compiled here and looks great.

The text is excellent as well, with a detailed biography of Rick, and testimonials from those in the art world, the comix community and the 60s California music scene who knew him and worked with him.

Great stuff - we miss you Rick!

I collect Rick's art. I've loved it since I first saw it on album covers and in SURFER magazine in the 60's. I had the pleasure of visiting his studio, and speaking to him several times. He was a passonate man, and his art reflects his passions: God, surfing, rock and roll, and the psychedelic experience. This book tells and shows of his journey better than any previous efforts. If you like Rick's art, you will love this book.

Readers who already possess the McClelland book on Rick Griffin's work may be wondering whether it is worth buying this as well. In my view the answer is yes. Most non-surfers came to Rick via a handful of
quintessential psychedelic images - Aoxomoxoa, Eternal Reservoir, the Flying Eyeball etc - and subsequently became aware of other more whimsical
examples of his art. If we dug a bit further we learnt of Murph the Surf and were perhaps underwhelmed, because the original Murph's moment had surely passed. We may also have learnt that Rick later became a born-again Christian, which would surely have alarmed some, for did not the same information bring Robert Zimmerman's reputation to its knees (pardon the pun). This overview from the Laguna Art Museum rises above such pettiness and identifies a theme running through Griffin's career.
Griffin immersed himself in a series of rebel subcultures, illustrating their preoccupations and elevating their concerns to new levels through the medium of his art. First it was Californian surf culture - enter Murph - then it was the psychedelic movement, and later the so-called
Jesus freaks. In all cases it is probable that Griffin took the members to places they did not initially want to go - witness Murph Mk 2, the drug-crazed anarchist, or the sin-soaked junkie praying to God for salvation and conjuring up some rather ahem.. unusual images. This book provides us with a much more balanced take on Rick's artistic endeavours, few of which fail to astound. If you missed the apocalypse first time around, Rick can refresh the parts that other artists, except perhaps Hieronymous Bosch, fail to reach. I for one had been steeped in Griffin's psychedelia, and vaguely aware of Murph, but had almost completely overlooked the transcendent beauty of some of Rick's "Christian" work. The mainstream art world is held up by two pillars: snobbery and exclusivity, they will not be recognising Rick's genius for a century or so, but you can get yours now: take a look through Rick's Mystic Eyes.

I have been a Fan of the Amazing Talents of Rick Griffin since 1969, when I first layed eyes on the Cover of Zap Comix, Number 3. The First Collection of his Work was published by Paper Tiger Books in 1980, and that Book has always been a Favorite of mine.

This Brand New Collection: "Heart And Torch", from The Laguna Art Museum, is just as impressive as Paper Tiger Edition. Printed on Heavy Stock Art Paper, it is Overflowing with Work from all Phases of Rick's life. From the images of Murphy The Surfer that appeared in Surfer Magazine whilst Rick was still a teenager to Posters of San Francisco Music and happenings from 1966-1980's. Covers for early editions of Rolling Stone Magazine in the late 60's. Album Covers for The Grateful Dead, Jimi Hendrix, Robert Hunter and Man.

What set Rick apart from his fellow Graphic Illustrators such as R.Crumb and Stanley Mouse was his Fantastic Vision to really get Far Out There with a very Good Third Eye {And while all this happened on our Planet, Rick only had a single Eye to see from!}. This Artist did not 'See' Boundaries in Art, his imagination could not be Locked-Down or Controlled to the Rules of the Medium, he Expanded Worlds and wasn't Trapped in them.

The "Flying Eyeball" Poster for a Jimi Hendrix/John Mayall Concert at The Filmore West in 1968, alone would have made Rick's career, But...there is so much more. He created new languages in his Art, such as for The Grateful Dead's Album Cover {1969] Aoxomoxia, that for many of us Defines, The Sixties in San Francisco as THE Piece of Art. When Rick would draw his own image he usually gave himself a "Third Eye", and I believe this is perfectly correct as the Man always saw something that the rest of us would miss, this Book tells his Story in Words and Pictures and it is indeed a "Transcendence".

The most Perfect way to enjoy Rick Griffin, outside of this book would be for you to find a copy of: "Tales From The Tube" his 1973 Comix Book. For me it's a Peak and a Crest, in a Life filled with water and skies. This Comix explains where Rick was coming from and shows where he was headed, it is simply amazing.

If you see a Poster in the Skies above you, I'll bet you it is Rick, still creating his Wonderful Art in the Heavens...FIVE STARS !!!

I am very glad that I found these little books written by Petra Eiko. The author manages to cover serious topics while keeping the fun in reading intact. It is great to see something new and innovative on the crowded book market.

What kind of secret does 'Heart' share? It shows you what your 'Heart' would tell you if it could and allows you to better understand yourself.

I highly recommend the whole Seeds of truth" series.

I love this book. I'm a dancer, too, and I'd love to go to a school like dance tech. Do they also go a regular school and have classes? It would be cool if they just had regular classes for everything at dance tech so they would have more time to dance (I wish I went to a schhol like that!) I am wating for the next book to come in to my bookstore, can't wait to see SOphy and Carlos hook up I hope they do!

what a great idea for a ya book (this is the first of a series), combining the worlds of ballet and salsa, with all the issues teens struggle with --friendship, love, self-regard. Rees has the gift of creating an entirely believable world and characters. Her hero and heroine are terrific--the smolderingly sexy salsa king Carlos and the lovely ballerina Sophie and then making their very different worlds collide. Rees has the wonderful gift of reaching into the hearts of her characters, making their feelings come so honestly alive. In their real lives, all the kids who make up dance tech live at dizzying pace--making mistakes and picking up their lives, breaking up and finding new partners. But the author in creating this world of kids we care about never loses her balance. With the same poise, she balances all the steamy emotions with a real knowledge of the world of dance to book. Readers will adore this book. I know I would have at that age.

I'm not really one that is into ballet or any dance, but once i read this i couldn't put it down. not just because of the dancing, but because of the romance between Sophy and Carlos, and the other characters. i've already finished the second one. can't wait to finish it. but i think when i am done reading all of it i will kinda miss reading about the characters and see what else could happen...

The romance is as good as the dancing!

I just read this book and I can't wait to read the next one in the series. The dance schools merging is a great plot, because it throws all these different people together. What I really like is everyone in the book has faults--for all their likeable qualities, there's some way that they mess up or aren't perfect. In other words, it's all about real people, like my friends. I like the stuff with Sophy's family--but the dance sections are even better!

A wonderful book, it's a real page turner.

I love this book. I couldn't put it down. I was dying to know what happened next. Carlos and Sophy are two of the most intriguing characters I have ever encountered in a young adult novel. They actually have depth and souls. I cared about their problems and about them. I love all the dangling plot threads that will keep me moving through the other books just as quickly. I can't wait to see how everything turns out.

I didn't think I would enjoy this book as much as I had enjoyed Ms. Crew's other books but I was very surprised. This book really enlightened me about the life on the Oregon Trail, or any Pioneer Trek, for that matter. Ms. Crew has done a a very careful job of researching her subject and imagining the fictional aspects of the real life people who inhabit the pages of A Heart For Any Fate. I was in love with the King family, their dreams, their courage, their heartbreaking experiences on the Oregon Trail. I read the book and when I was finished I read it again because it was that good! The second read was even more enjoyable. Ms. Crew does a very good job of charting the growth of Lovisa King from young girl to woman during the course of her months on the trail and the sacrifices she made. While there was a lot of imagination involved in writing this account, the story convinced me that it was all possible. A very accurate and entertaining book.

I too am a descendent of the infamous lost wagon train that took the Meek's Cutoff of 1845. I have always imagined what my family was experiencing on their journey. Linda Crew has made this a 3 dimensional saga. Not only can I hear the voices but can smell the wildflowers and the axel grease, the blood sweat and tears and the alkaline dust to the scent of new calico and old leather. I hear the song "Shennandoah" with the women's tears and the fireside dances. I see the countless stars of a prarie sky and the sun on the golden locks of a doomed child. I feel the heat of the shadeless terrain and the breaking of hearts and the hope of new life. I taste the bitterness of unimaginal losses, the crunch of an apple after near starvation and the sweetness of a first kiss. This is a book not just for young adults or Oregonians, but for all that seek their dreams of what may come. Thank you Linda, for putting flesh to the bones of my imagination. It was as if I was carried back and met my ancestors face to face, heart to heart.

As a 1845 Meek Cut-off descendant and researcher, I found this story not only entirely captivating, but also highly faithful to the time and place when events on this disastrous new route actually occurred. This book is a real tear-jerker, and if you were grabbed by reading about the 1846 Donner Party, you MUST read this book. Linda Crew has a remarkable talent for fitting her romantic novel neatly into a historically accurate true-life tragedy, in which only the heartiest souls survived. You will be enthralled from the moment you start reading about the King family, for whom Benton County's King's Valley is named.

Linda Crew has outdone herself with this heartfelt telling of one family's journey to Oregon on the fabled Oregon Trail. While many of the adventures and relationships of the King family told in this wonderful book may perhaps not be historically "accurate", they resonate with poignancy and truth. Readers of all ages can relate to sibling squabbles, first loves and the loss of someone dear. What may open many readers' eyes are the incredible hardships these pioneers endured, all for the hope of a better life in a better place. Those of us who are now reaping the benefits of their sacrifice should be especially grateful - I know I am. Buy one for yourself and for anyone else who could use a good read!

This is a fantastic book. I was crying and laughing at the same time. Seth and Abby are devasted when Seth's sister dies. Seth is a doctor who feels he should have been able to save his own sister. Depressed, he decides to leave town and quit his profession. Abby has always loved Seth and doesn't intend to let him walk out of her life. She does some interesting (and desperate) things to keep him in town all in the name of love. Then Abby finds out that she is sick and it looks like only Seth will be able to save her.

This book is really funny. Between Abby's crazy family and her attempts to keep Seth from leaving I was laughing all the time. When Abby gets sick though is when the book really shines, the emotions are very real. I highly recommend this book!

Abby Merganser is determined to marry Dr. Seth Hendon. Unfortunately, Seth seems a little . . . shall we say less than enthusiastic to the idea?

This a really good story. It starts off with a bang - funny, interesting, lots of authentic, historical detail - which is always a plus for me. The characters are funny, the story is fast-paced and heartwarming.

I did not enjoy it, however, and I'll explain why. This story deals - at length - with two people who have long term chronic, and potentially fatal illnesses. Having just lost two close family members after a very long and painful illness, I found this book simply too sad, it brought up so many bad memories, and I found those parts of the book painful to read.

So, this is my synopsis - this is a fun, fast-paced book, with a heartwarming ending - however, if this kind of story (long term chronic illness) will bring up bad memories for you, you may want to skip it.

This book is both funny and poignant, and you'll laugh out loud and reach for your hankie along with Seth and Abby. They'll touch your heart and remain there long after you've stayed up all night finishing the book. As a bonus, Heart Full of Miracles is a particular treat for those interested in 19th-century doctor/medical romances. Seth is everything a good doctor should be and more, and the afflictions and 19th century medical practices were believable and well-researched.

If you enjoy Americana, don't miss this book.

In the latter half of the nineteenth century in Eden's Grove, Iowa, optimist Abby Merganser seems to always obtain her goals in spite of being the looniest of a loony family. Currently, Abby works at the Weekly Herald, but her strategic objective is to marry the man she loves, Dr. Seth Hendon. However, Seth sees Abby as a close friend of his younger sister.

As part of her campaign, Abby begins to show up everywhere that Seth goes including his office. Seth continues to reject her. He is bone tired after losing a few patients. Seth not only is thinking of quitting the medical profession, but of simply leaving town. Still, the persistent Abby refuses to allow her soul mate to retire from life.

A HEART FULL OF MIRACLES is a wonderful Americana romance that vividly brings alive a piece of our heritage. The exciting story line works because the authentic tidbits are fully interwoven into the plot. The lead characters are a charming pair of opposites as Abby is full of life's vigor while Seth struggles with depression. As she has done with her previous novels like THE COURTSHIP and A KISS TO DREAM ON, Stephanie Mittman makes nineteenth century America a one-sitting affair.

The best reading choices, I find, are those I buy on impluse. The reason I picked this book was the intriguing blurb on the back cover. I'd just been through a spate of regency historicals and thought this would be a nice change. Glad I did!

Abby and Seth, the main characters, are are so thoroughly developed and empathetic. Their relationship has the closeness borne of a shared sorrow (death of a dear friend and a beloved sister) and the distancing of a love, long unexpressed. You feel the emotions so profoundly as these two struggle through the up and downs of the relationship. Adding to the poignancy are the secondary stories. As is true of most small towns, the inhabitants of Eden's Cove have a shared history. I enjoyed what made this small town interesting and close knit. The storyline doesn't get bogged down in pathos. There is enough gentle humor to add balance. Overall its a wonderful story of faith, hope and love.

This book is also the first Harlequin Historical I found to be a keeper. I've enjoyed many, but thought this one was better than most. I almost didn't buy this and left it at the used book store because the cheesy cover, but glad I remembered the old saying about not judging a book by its cover.

Anyway, the book is well written and great about a man who has overcome many hardships and turned out to be a great man, yet the town hasn't seen it or accepted him. The new school marm does, and a friendship soon begins. Yet the new schoolmarm wants to be accepted in the new town and has to be careful of getting involved with him due to how the town sees him, plus any man because she was ran out of her hometown due to gossip basically and the fear that she did something wrong, too. She innocently goes to dinner and gets introduced to a man expecting to be set her up with her and he assumes they're courting after that and is near relentless. I'm glad she finally showed some backbone and excused herself at one town event because if she didn't, this would have been a 4 star for her just going along with it and not ever taking action.

I loved the character developement and how the hero fell for her. It was nice to see that she helped him to show the town folk that he was capable of taking care of the kids, when nobody else but an old friend of his thought he could. I enjoyed them finally getting together and the whole story. It was a great read & hope you give it a try.

I've read books by this author before, and was delighted to see another wonderful story by Judith Stacy. This story, of a man returning to his small western hometown which did not appreciate his returning, shows us a touching story of redemption and forgiveness. Jess, basically a good man, struggles against great odds to save his sister's children. The heroine, Sarah, has come to town with secrets of her own, and her struggles against her attraction for Jess make this a compelling story. Judith Stacy gives us people we'd love to have as friends, and a setting we'd like to visit. This book was a delightful read. Thank you, Harlequin!

The is a sensativly done tale of a man's search for redemption and his relationship with a town's refusal to except him. Jess Logan has only been out of prison for a short time when he returns to raise his sister's children. Due to a tragedy when Jess was twelve, he and his sister lived seperate lives. His sister, Cassie was raised by a family, but poor Jess was passed from one disinterested family to another, soon garnering a reputation for a troublemaker. The town is unwilling to forgive Jess's past transgessions and the rumor that he is a hired killer. They try to take the children, eight year old Maggie and her younger brother Jimmy, who has not spoken a word since his mother's death. Sarah Wakefield has arrived in town to take Cassie's place as a schoolteacher, she is the only one willing to give Jess a second chance, only she has a secret to hide. I truly found this an enjoyable read and I recommend it for all lovers of western romance.

Jess Logan has a deep sense of responsibility and family and wants to do all he can for his sisters' children.

I loved the way Maggie turned to her unknown Uncle Jess and gave him her unconditional love. But Jess sure had a lot to learn about little Jimmy and ended up needing Sarah Wakefield to show him how to understand the little one.

Ah, but then Jess fell in lust with Sarah and began a slow burn for her. This caused oh, so many complications! He wasn't even aware when lust turned to love and poor Sarah was afraid of becoming a wanton with dire results.

Wonderful angles to the story to keep it interesting [especially Jess's little secret] and moved along with enough gentle tension that it became hard to put it down.

I am still a bit confused on how easily these characters give into temptation given the age they live in. Not that it is an impossibility but I still think they had a much stronger moral fiber [or fear] than is portrayed.
Still a great story and will definitely recommend it for a good read.

Our young bear hero, Bobby North, discovers that what was hip one day at his old school is now passe at the new one. But Bobby meets moose Harry Haller, the "Emperor of Cool" and copies his every move. "He ate cool, he slept cool, he walked cool, and he talked cool..." He becomes so cool, in fact, that one day he literally needs to thaw before he can move! Finally Bobby wins the acceptance he so eagerly sought..

After reaching the epitome of cool, Bobby discovers he no longer has to try being cool: "He already was cool. He'd been there. Right at the heart of it". Bobby seems to have discovered the zen of cool-- being cool is about authenticity and not playing to the crowd. But this moral conviction falters as author McEwan tries to have it both ways: At the contest for coolest skateboarder, Bobby both tries being cool and disdains it. Harry's sage advice that boundaries are sometimes needed tempers Bobby's free-wheeling but potentially dangerous freedom. (In a way, there's a mixed message, being cool means doing your own thing, but within limits imposed by a role model). Ultimately, the sage Harry whispers an understanding message about skateboarding and the art of achieving inner cool: "Many catch air. Only a few take flight."

Perhaps this review finds too much of a message in the book. At the level with which most kids will read it, "The Heart of Cool" uses authentic language(e.g."Okay, big man, your turn! Show us how Mr. Totally Cool does it."). There's a believable spectrum of characters, and Sandra Boynton's ever magical mix of soft line, beautiful, unusual coloration, and nuanced portrayal of emotion. 48 pages, buoyed by Boynton's graceful illustrations and a "message" that may, at least in part, alleviate some of the dangers of peer pressure.

The answer to "What is cool?"

This is nearly a perfect book. I have nothing negative to say about it, so perhaps that means it IS a perfect book. It communicates coolness to the 3rd/4th grade set smashingly.

Bobby North starts at a new school and finds the things that were cool at his old school aren't cool in his new environment. So he immitates the coolest kid, skatboarding moose Harry Haller(at first very badly). With practice he gets better and wins the appelation "cool." He becomes SO cool he chills completely.

Then his coolness is challenged (by warthog Siggy Sidewinder). (Usually the story ends here with the challenged winning out...) And he's so intent on feeling the coolness of his air-grabbing stunt that he plants his face in the shrubs.

When Siggy laughs at him the next day at school Bobby & Harry have a little discussion about what coolness is.

Sandra Boynton's cooly colored cartoon illustrations are just exactly right: cute without being cutesy. An excellent gift for young skateboard enthusiasts who may or may not love to read. OR an excellent gift for that teenager who is searching for cool.

Happy Reading!

This book is fun, humorous, clever, wise and just the right touch of fulfilling for anyone that has ever wondered if they should fit in. Wonder no more... just hurry and order this slendidly illustrated book. Young, old and all the stages between will love reading this book. Just be sure to buy an extra one, so that you can keep one on hand.

Looking at the subject matter of this book, I figured it'd be the same ol', same ol'--don't try to be "cool", just accept who you are and learn to like yourself. The Heart Of Cool isn't so nearly so dull as that! Bobby starts off simply imitating his cool idol, Harry, but then truly transforms into someone so cool he's nice and chilled. Bobby eventually finds he doesn't need to show off to prove anything to the other kids--he knows he's cool. This is what kid's books should be: fun!

When King Nicholas Rostov goes to a nearby country to form an alliance against Napoleon's invading army and a mysterious foe called the Brotherhood, he is given a beautiful girl out of the harem to enjoy. Nicholas is an honorable man and tells the girl she will be safe and he will not touch her. When she saves him from assassins, he takes her with him to free her from slavery and makes her a noblewoman in his kingdom. He secretly covets Sera but knows he cannot give his heart as he is betrothed since childhood and must soon marriage to strengthen an alliance. Sera is wild and magical and Nicholas longs for her as he has never longed for another. When the chance arises to make her his wife he will not let the oppurtunity pass he will use Sera's passion to make her want him as much as he wants her.

Sera is "Catherine" the princess Nicholas was bethrothed to marry in childhood. After her parents are murdered in front of her as a child, her maternal grandfather whisks her away to the magical hill people to keep her safe from her uncle's treachery. When a thief steals the heart of fire, a magical ruby that keeps her people safe, Sera pursues him to retrieve it and is thrown into a harem. She is given to Nicholas and she instantly knows he is someone special. When she saves his life, he takes her to his kingdom and insists she cannot leave because he must keep her safe. Sera is frustrated she longs to give into her feelings for Nicholas but knows her people are counting on her to retrieve the heart of fire. Sera struggles when she must make a decision, stay with Nicholas or return to her home forever.

This is a wonderful, mysterious, intriguing story and the sensuality is tasteful but intense. The only problem with this story is a little more explanation of the hill people and their role would have been great. Sometimes the story is a little confusing but still a winner.

In the tradition of Mary Renault and Diana Gabaldon, Lennox draws you into her world, seamlessly melding history and fantasy into a heady concoction. Her characters are intelligent, independent, and delighfully human, occasionally exasperating, but never failing to entertain. Lennox knows her subject matter well, and provides a strong historical backdrop against which she paints a rich tapestry of magic and political intrigue, never forgetting the need for that enduring love which must overcome all in the end. 'Heart of Fire' slyly seduces you, leaving you you wanting more, which is hopefully planned for the near future.

When a slave girl saves his life, King Nicholas Rostov demands her ownership papers and her remarkable horse in recompense for the danger he survived. Sera captures his imagination with her determination and spirit, but she conceals secrets the likes of which Nicholas can scarcely imagine. Nicholas works to protect his country from both Napoleon's troops and the Brotherhood, a band of terrorists that stalk his borders. Rather than allow her risk danger alone, Nicholas brings Sera home with him, but she resists his efforts at civilization.

Nicholas' intuition leads him to believe Sera conceals special power that could aid him in protecting his country. While his conscious clamoures to release her, his growing desire demands that he keep her near. He certainly does not suspect that Sera is a princess on a mission for her people. The assassin Anatole Galerien stole the Heart of Fire, a fantastic ruby that protects her magical kingdom from the outside world. She must find the ruby before solstice, or it will be too late. Worse, her powers are growing exponentially and only her love for Nicholas gives her any control over them.

Author Mary Lennox pens an exhilarating historical fantasy romance that creates a world of magic in HEART OF FIRE. A gripping read rich with historical background, exotic locations and complex characterizations, HEART OF FIRE will capture the reader's imagination. While Lennox takes great liberty with geography and historical accuracy, readers willing to suspend their disbelief will be rewarded with a delightfully imaginative read that truly entertains. With a dazzling touch of magic, HEART OF FIRE comes very highly recommended.

this is a wonderful bedside book...the poems are what i would call in depth minimalist style writings...this might be a contradiction in terms but every word is positioned just right in tagors syntax...he is i guess what you would say famous for his going to the core of what he is trying to say...yet he excludes nothing and every poem is titled well...so you can a navigate the book with ease...this is my first tagore book and i have another...fireflies...on the way...pleasant reading

In prayers and poems of depth and simplicity,Tagore expresses his very soul...which is somehow the soul of each of us.

Obviously a spiritual master, he speaks for each of our hearts with a depth of compassion and honesty that embraces universal and timeless themes. Human struggle, delight, quest, hope, trust, joy, despair, and peace are expressed in a compelling commitment to Love which draws him only into deeper intimacy with the Beloved.

Tagore puts into words a love which surpasses understanding, time, or any methodology. He speaks in his writings a very human, very real, very tender love letter to the Divine.

I liked this book because it draws me also into the heart of God.

This collection of seventy-seven poems of the Nobel Laureate poet of India is taken from seven sources of his poetry. The editor has skillfully degenderized and introduced contemporary language where he deemed appropriate. The beauty of Tagore's spirit and his eloquence will be augmented for some by the editor's gifts. Long familiar with Tagore's own translations of his poetry, I find in this collection extreme satisfaction in accessing the presence of the poet in images of rare beauty. This book is an important addition to the literature, providing
fresh acquaintance with a master poet.

everyone will have something to worry about, some unfulfilled ambitions. This is a collection of the poet's mystic prayers.I am sure this will move anyone with a tender heart. He was the composer of the Indian national anthem and was also a social reformer and a romantic. This makes me wonder if he wanted to address these questions to god. My immediate goal is to learn bengali and read his poems in his own language. I am also looking forward to read his gitanjali which got him the nobel prize.

Great book. Story set in New Zealand/Australia. Story has a lot of action and character depth. Her writing is comparable to Linda Howard's story telling ability. Gray Lombard is a SAS Agent bent on capturing an old nemisis who killed his brother 7 years earlier. However the new target is Gray's old girlfriend, Samantha. He goes back to protect her & see if their love can be rekindled. Its a great story. I want more of Fiona Brand's books. This story promises many more sequels.

Fiona Brand has something special, a touch with characterization that doesn't come along very often. Her books are sexy, well-written, and out of the ordinary. It's not a question of "if" she goes mainstream, but "when."

Fiona has done it again. Heart of Midnight is another sensational story by Fiona Brand. The desire between Gray and Samantha never died, even after seven years apart. The need for Gray to protect Sam is overpowering. He put her life in danger, and it is up to him to protect her. She belongs to him and he will never willingly let her go again! Can't wait for Blade's Lady to be published.

Exceptionally wonderful book! Loved it!

This was like reading a fantasy. Gray Lombard is so sexy and darkly brooding--what woman doesn't fantasize about a man like that loving her from a distance for years! Fiona Brand is terrific and I am so glad to add her to my favorite authors list. You won't be disappointed in this exceptionally wonderful book. I loved it!

This book was one of the best books ever written. I loved the charecter's. I got so engrossed in the book, I totally messed up my plans for the day! It was worth it though. Gray was totally sexy, and I loved Sam's stubborness. She should write a prequel about how they met in the first place. That would be a great story!
