This is a beautiful book that every family with school age children should have and read through with their children so they understand creationism, it's validity and know how to detect lies that will bombard them from school and media. It is laid out in an easy to use and eye appealing format.

No other resource I have seen so well blends the Biblical truth of man's history with visual elements. This is truly a stunning and captivating array of illustrations, charts and photographs stretching from the very creation through ancient civilizations, displaying the handiwork of God. Dennis Petersen brings forth his gifts and scholarship of scripture and science in a unique way that will appeal to any age and satisfy the inner sense of truth. Good science is showcased and false science is exposed. This book has been a foundational and encouraging resource for my own work, The Ninth Generation: Conquering the Giants, one I continue to enjoy.

I truly and seriously
loved this book. The words were so true and so real like the author was writing about my life. I found out about this book through a friend that had been searching the web. When I first read this book I begin to cry and because of its content and how it deeply reflected my life and the decisions that i have made in the past. If only this book was written years ago it could have saved a family member of mine. I recommend this book to anybody, make that everybody who has gone through something or who is going through something that they don't know what to do and seeking some sound answers, "Walk With Me" is that book. I have found this book so enlightening and inspiring that I carry it with me along with my bible. It has truly opened my eyes to things I thought I was doing right. I read it quite often when i need an emotional lift, especially on my job and dealing with the public everyday , "Walk With Me" keeps me grounded. I really have enjoyed reading this book and hope to see more of this author's work. I share it with my children, nieces and nephews when I want to teach them a lesson about sacrifices and making decisions in life. Way Down Deep in Their Hearts

My daughters, ages 8 and 6, listened intently as I read 'Way Down Deep'. We truly enjoyed this book. We found it difficult to stop reading each night as they would ask for 'one more page'. The characters are colorful and vivid and charming. We laughed out loud when the townspeople turn the attempted bank robbery into an 'opportunity' and adopt the bank robber and his family. We breathed a sigh when Ruby made her decision about where her home is... who her family is. We will certainly re-read this book in the future.

Way Down Deep is a small town that is cradled between hills in the Appalachian Mountains. This special town "did not do things by the book". In 1944 on the first day of summer, a small redheaded girl is found abandoned in front of Way Down Deep's courthouse "she was in her petticoat, just sitting there on that bench where the old-timers like to hang out and swap lies" A toddler she can only respond that "woo-bee" is her name so the town adopts Ruby informally, " if Ruby's people were dumb enough to lose something as valuable as a child, then finders keepers, losers weepers". The sheriff whose "heart was way too soft and his mind too fuzzy for sheriffing" looks the other way rather than try to locate any relatives when Miss Arbutus who runs the rambling three-story boardinghouse called The Roost volunteers to raise the little girl until "her people" are found. Ruby, now eleven, thrives on the love extended to her by the townspeople. The setting is well established: A charming little map shows: Busy Street and Ward Street where there are businesses like Bevins's BarberShop, Pure Gas Station whose owner also runs the Boxcart Grill and the medical office of Mr. and Mrs. Doctor, one is a dentist, the other is a doctor.
The cast of delightful characters include: a man who arrives with a goat which he offers Miss Arbutus in exchange for lodging and food; this goat loves to stand on a Studebaker to view his new town, Ruby's classmate Reese who loves to sing but sings off-key "In his own mind he was the second coming of Hank Williams, but to everybody else he was as off-key as a hillbilly slung up drunk on moonshine", Mrs. Thornton Elkins a "cultured lady" whose husband died in their first year of marriage so she moves into the Roost to recuperate for a few weeks, then a few months, then a few years; when she runs out of money, donations of food items and bolts of dress material are left for her so she could wear "simple but stylish dresses". One day an inept bank robber who is easily confounded, scared of real guns and so carries a plastic gun, cries when he tries and fails to hold up the town bank successfully. When it turns out he arrived in town on a bus and plans to leave on a bus, the townspeople are too polite to suggest to him a getaway on a bus was not the best idea. Nevertheless, the townspeople "adopt" his family since he is down on his luck. When Ruby is eleven years old, an uncle shows up to reclaim her; the interior motive proves to be that she is required to take care of a constantly angry and bitter grandmother. Ruby ingeniously starts telling her stories about the nurturing town where she grew up. Later when Ruby insists on returning to Way Down Deep, the grandmother wants to move there too where she might finally have some friends. This is a charming and uplifting story of a community that treasures its children (the adults put on a Kid's Day to celebrate all of them) and offers help to those in need. Yes, the residents are nosey and news travels fast, yet who would not want to live in this unique town where the residents are respectful of each other's idiosyncrasies and extend their love and care to residents and strangers alike. This is a powerful story of redemption and acceptance that is humorous and filled with interesting characters.

A fine story of bonds and community connections evolves.

Ruth White's WAY DOWN DEEP tells of a toddler found abandoned in a small town. Miss Arbutus takes her in and she leads a good life - but when Ruby is twelve a new family arrives in town with news of her past - and to learn more she must travel far from her newfound home. Is it worth it? A fine story of bonds and community connections evolves.

This book really makes you wonder what you have eaten in all of the restaurants you have been in your lifetime. It has funny stories you can relate too. You won't go into a restaurant and be able to just eat your meal without checking everything out. You will find yourself noticing things you never dreamed of. You might even find yourself getting up and walking out of what you thought was a great place to eat. I know I walked into a local Pizza Hut and waited at the door to get my order. First thing I noticed were the menus on the floor. Several of their workers walked by without ever picking them up. I asked one of them if they were going to pick them up and if they would be washed off before being used again. He said yes, they always washed them if they hit the floor. Before this book, I would probably have never paid any attention to things like this.

Your eyes will get wider with each page as "oh my gosh!" is repeated again and again in your head. This book is truly an eye opener in safe/hygienic restaurant dining. This book is a must read for those who enjoy restaurant dining, and should be required for all restaurant managers and employees. The scorecard in chapter 10 makes evaluating a restaurant a breeze. I recommend that managers use this scorecard as part of a customer feedback form as a way to insure that they are doing everything they can to provide a safe and pleasant dining experience. Happy dining!

Our daughter-in-law received this book as a Christmas gift and prepared one of the recipes for us when we visited. The chicken breasts with lemon and cranberry sauce were very elegant looking and absolutely delicious, and she said the dish was so easy to prepare. We're definitely ordering this cookbook and can't wait to try all the great recipes.

This is an incredible book and surely one that all leaders must read! For many years I knew in my spirit that these issues addressed in the book were true I just didn't have the know how in resource materials. The issues are addressed in a readable manner and explained very much in detail.

There is a wealth of resources shared for further study. This is a high recommend on my list.

I have it listed in my bookstore on my website, Praise God!

AN INTELLIGENT, BALANCED LOOK AT SCRIPTURE VS. TRADITION

Mr. Trombley gives a thorough examination of the commonly quoted teachings that keep women out of ministry positions. The references to historical church and Talmudic documents as well as current writing on the subject are presented clearly. It would be difficult to view Paul or God as misogynists or to view women as inferior beings created for the purpose of submission after reading this book. The conclusion is reached gently, after looking into the question deeply. It has been of tremendous value to me as a woman, answering many of the nagging questions I've had for years, in which my relationship with God didn't match what I learned about women in the church.

One of the best books I've ever read

And definitely the best book I've read on 'women and ministry'. My wife and I especially like the chapters about the judaistic traditions, and the chapters about the male-headship-problem. Well, the whole book is extremely relevant and well written. It seems to me that Trombley is a very thorough and skilled scholar. I recommend this book. Especially to men. We have so much to learn. Why are so few Christian people (men!) aware of the truths presented in this book? I can only recommend that you buy the book for you, your friends and your pastors.

Relive Yellowstone Memories

For anybody who has worked at Yellowstone National Park, or has lived there, this book will stir up some wonderful memories. It takes you out on Lake Yellowstone in Jim Wolfe's fishing boat to see the park from a beautiful and unusual perspective as you learn the lore and share the Spirit of the Lake. It was a simpler time when there was fun to be had with other Savages who shared the same dreams for the future and awe of nature as it was found in Yellowstone. A happy, fun, and spiritually calming read, I recommend to any Yellowstoner or Savage.

Wolfe takes us to a great park at a great time. Yellowstone is absolutely magical and it shows in this book. Plus, he throws in a few tidbits about fishing in our great park. His memoir takes place in a day gone by. Things have changed. But the beauty, the wonder and the thrills are just like they were.

This book brings back great memories to those of us who have been lucky enough to work in the oldest and best national park.

If you want to relax and get lost in a era gone by, then this book is for you. This book does a good job of making the Savage experiences real. You get a sense that Yellowstone is not just a park but an au inspiring place. Great BOOK!!

"13 Books" is not a book to be read lightly, it is a book where Leonard Koren explains the process that took place when he created his 12 books and a magazine. Koren is not only an author but an architect and artist. Several of his creations are: WET: The magazine of Gourmet Bathing; Wabi-Sabi; New Fashion Japan; The Graphic Design Cookbook; and, How to Take a Japanese Bath. Anyone familiar with Koren's work would find this book very enlightening.

Koren's format of writing this book is very different from anything I've seen before. He splits his page horizontally. For example, when explaining the inspiration for "17 Beautiful Men Taking a Shower" Koren , on the top portion of the pages, explains the subject matter, his inspiration, organizing principle and greatest difficulty. On the bottom portion of the pages he explains terminology such as: seventeen, art galleries, bathing.
I must say, this is a very creative way of writing, however, why would anyone be surprised coming from an eclectic artist as Koren.

Looking for an eclectic, yet very informative, read? This is it. You will come out by the end of the book much wiser, as well as have many thoughts evoked of your own personal experiences.

After being involved in a MLM for over 16 years, I have learned that you become what you read and you become who you hang around with. Paul J. Meyers had laid out a pattern of success throughout many of his books. This particular book has provided me with the basic "keys" to keep my business moving in the right direction. Time is so critical and I do not have to time to reinvent the wheel. The answer for me is to "literally" get into the back pockets of our successors and learn from the best. This book is definitely an easy read and has helped me to stay on track for my goals. I recommend this book only to the serious readers who want to move forward with this business.
