This game is great -- easy to learn, and moves much faster than scrabble! Much more engaging, as everyone has to pay attention all the time. We gave it to our parents for Christmas, and the family became instant addicts.

This is a clever new word game which is simple yet incredibly addictive. My husband and I play this game almost every night. It is cleverly packaged and takes up little room, so we keep it accessible on the kitchen table and consequently, play often.

It has a simple premise and scoring method, is fun for 2 or more players, and keeps all players involved in the game. It takes little time to play one game, so it's a great option for after dinner. It only takes a game or two for new players to become very competitive with experienced players, and thus is great for mixed groups. Good spelling is a help, as is a good vocabulary, but even those skills are less important than being able to track the words and letters in play and keep possibilities in mind for when the right letter appears. My 17 y/o stepson can routinely beat us, and he's not an avaricious reader as we are, he just sees --and seizes-- the opportunities available.

The game is great fun for all ages and I highly reccomend it.

I seriously adore this game. Never did I think that playing with my snatch could be so much fun. I love to beat my friends while we play with my snatch. I haven't picked up boggle or scrabble since I started playing with my snatch...game. It is quite possibly one of my favorite word play games of all time! Seriously!

I am an amateur when it comes to using any Web design software as well as software that can be as intimidating as PhotoShop. That's why I think Sherry Hutson's book is so good. She is a teacher, and that shows throughout the book. She is able to break everything down into steps that are clearly understandable. Too many of these guides skip just enough steps that you can't follow. Not this book. It has helped to take me from being an amateur to not being afraid to try different things with Photoshop. The index is very helpful, too. I have a question, go to the Index, and invariably find the topic I'm looking for. You can't go wrong with this book even if you have never used Photoshop at all.

Yaah! Finally a book about Photoshop that even a beginner like me can really make sense of. The Web Wizard's Guide to Photoshop has introduced me to the joy of improving the images that I download from my digital camera. My friends and family are delighted with the much improved, innovative, and high quality, images that I am now able to create using this fun, user friendly, program. The clear and simple explanations in this book have encouraged me to move on to the next step. I am now in the process of designing my own web page. What fun!!! If you're interested in improving the way you work with images and/or in trying your hand at designing a website, this is definitely the book for you. If you try it, you most definitely will like it.

Sherry Hutson has produced one of the most informative and consise books on Photoshop that I have ever read. It covers all tehniques of a very complex graphics program in an easy to read (and learn) format.

As a former student in many classes taught by Sherry, I can attest to the value of this book (I now design web sites, myself). A definate value for beginners and a strong resource for the expert.

I've been waiting a long time for this book.

Sherry Hutson obviously knows exactly what we Photoshop beginners are facing and what language to speak... no arrogance in this `how to' masterpiece. I have books on other programs in my bookshelf, as well as on Photoshop, which are about 800 pages and my eyes just gloss over so I've never even tried. When I started this book, though, I just followed step 1 and kept going because it was easy to understand and stuff miraculously started happening.

Although I'm not a website designer, my work requires me to create and maintain the company website along with my other duties. In small companies, the few wear many hats and it's terrifying to create a website when you don't know what you're doing. My nephew recommended the Web Wizard's Guide to Photoshop and I decided to go for the `keep it simple' approach, using the book's "Do's" and "Don'ts." Now feel like I've published a site as appealing as some of the big corporate ones.

Under "Features" on the back jacket of the book, the list reads, "Assumes no Photoshop experience . . .; Progresses in a natural order . . .; Contains extensive reference material, including a Web-Safe Colors chart, keyboard shortcuts, and annotated tool bars . . .; Provides tutorials in each chapter . . .; Uses full-color screen shots, so what you see in the book is exactly what you'll see on the computer screen." I'm usually pretty skeptical at such claims, but it's all true for once.

Don't be afraid. Just get the book and start in. I bet you will be surprised at how quickly, for example, you catch on to working with and correcting pictures, and the different types of image formats and when to use them. I had tried to figure out layers once before, but now I understand exactly what's happening. I've done the exercise on how to make an animation and it's amazing. The eagle actually flies.

This book is straightforward and very much a "fast start for beginners." I'm giving it five stars.

This collection of art from the Rath Cycle is a must have for any MTG enthusiast. Excellent art work adorns every page and serves to reveal the complexity and beauty of the world of Rath. The various characters, races, places, and machines behind the story of the Rath cycle are detailed through writing and colorful artwork. Without reading the MTG novels surrounding the Rath Cycle, this is the best way to get familiar with the story and setting of the MTG expansion packs: Tempest, Stronghold, and Exodus. You can tell by the price of this book on Amazon that it is a valued item in people's collections. I'd say its worth the seemingly high price.

Highly reccommended.

This book is amazing. It includes backround drawings and doodlings of such great Magic artists as Mark Tedin and Pete Ventres. One of the most interesting parts of the book was the inards of the Weatherlight and the Predator, showing engine rooms and cabins. Also, main characters and races have backround stories explained in detail.

I double highly recommend this book, it's fantastic, even if your not an artist or a Magic fan.

I got this book not too long ago and I've gotta say, this is one for the records. It centers all around the great and wonderful art of Magic: The Gathering: The Rath Cycle. I got this book because the Rath Cycle is my #1 favorite add-on for Magic, and I love the art. It tells you behind the scenes stuff about all the different characters and places in the Rath Cycle. Now, don't get this book thinking that you're gonna get every picture in the set. They have alot of the art, but not all of it. I thought that, but I was still amazed when I got it. I use the book to help me sketch out the stuff I couldn't on the cards, they were too small. But they blow them up for the book. It's a great book, a must-have for everyone who appreciates the art and magic of Magic: The Gathering.

Good Book. Solid Illistrations. Great artistic refrence.

Although I don't know the Rath Cycle or MTG really well, I was drawn to this book for its artwork. Really nice suff! Lots of versions of images, artist studies (b/w and color), and schematic plans (of the ships), so you can see what diffrent artists were thinking. There is a good bit of text (back story for the game I assume) if you are into that. Basicly, a great fantasy art refrance book!

The Art of Magic represents the visual glories of the Rath Cycle: a set of three expansions named Tempest, Stronghold, and Exodus that depict the adventures of Gerrard Capashen and the crew of the Weatherlight as they seek to liberate the kidnapped Sisay and unravel the evil mystery that lies behind the universe of Rath.

The book is filled with the lavish illustrations that have made Magic: the Gathering among the most aesthetically pleasing card games in history. Famous artists such as Pete Venters, Quentin Hoover, Donato Giancola, John Avon, and Terese Nielsen create a stormy world wracked with strife and death. We see the legendary paintings, sketches, and drawings that breathe life into such places as the Stronghold, the Skyshroud Forest, and the Dream Halls. And vivid characters are represented with handfuls of card arts, style guides, and behind the scenes sketches. This book lays out the story, environment, and aura of the Rath Cycle experience in a conscientious, experienced form which shows meticulous preparation and a beautiful final product. Who can forget the legendary Vanguard painting of the Dark Angel Selenia, poised to strike at the onlooker? Or Donato Giancola's Havoc, showing Orim attracting the fury of the Furnace of Rath around her? Or even the paintings of the mischievous Squee, a goblin with a heart and intelligence far beyond his peers. And for a look to the dark side, the City of Traitors, huddled around the gigantic Furnace of Rath.

The Weatherlight, its crew, and every inch of the worlds of the Rath Cycle are detailed beautifully. One will want to look through the glistening pages many times-everything holds a meaning just waiting to be unlocked. Even the title page for each chapter invokes curiosities: we see a depiction of the Null Moon, Dominaria's artificial moon (and possibly something of ill meaning from the Phyrexians?) and an added oval with each chapter's progression.

The Art of Magic: the Gathering is without a doubt among the best books to come out of Wizards of the Coast and TSR for a long time. A must buy worth every cent.

If you plan to play SAGA or you just red the novels, this book is for you. It is a narrative book by Caramon Majere. He shows us all the feinds and freinds in DL. The Illustrations are great and the set up is much nicer than TSR's past Monstrous Manuals and Compendiums. The reason I gave this only 4 stars is that the book didnt include mosses and fungi, and some plants that can play a major role in a SAGA campaign.

If you enjoy epic fantasy then you will enjoy this book. It has all the elements that I love about good fantasy novels: fantastic beasts, well balanced action, cool magic effects, moments of wonder, suspense, and real emotion. Great fantasy doesn't just include great action but there is always a noble fight against evil, against seemingly unbeatable evil beasts and 'bad guys' as well as against the evil inside the characters themselves. I like the way Dan Willis handles all these elements. The Dragon Well is a fun and statisfying read.

The Dragon Well by Dan Willis is the best book so far in Dragon Lance® The New Adventures series. It brings to the series several new and interesting people and also uncovers more of each of the teenagers past.
The story is well written and seems to move along at a greater pace than the first two. My wife and I enjoyed the description of action and the appropriate description of the surronundings (not too much, not too little).
We can't wait for our children to be old enough to read this series, so they can garner some of the character building traits these youths have. We also can't wait for the rest of the series.

This is an enchanting adventure story for younger children (5+) -- full of magic, a young heroine to root for, and just enough suspense to keep children guessing and eagerly awaiting what comes next without being too scary. Definitely not for Harry Potter fans. It's far too tame. But it's a very nice read for kids who aren't quite ready for more serious suspense, but enjoy a good story and a little magic.

I did however find it confusing the way the story flitted between locations but the characters were strong and scenery fantastic. The huge solar-powered (sort-of) caverns the fighters lived in. The battles are perfect length and keep you interested 'till the end. Good stuff.

The Dwarven Nations Trilogy has been the best I've ever read.
Every time you read it, it just gets better and better.

This spirited second mainly deals with the coming together of the dwarven clans of Kal-Thax...and the beginings of what will soon be "Thorbardin". If you havent figured it out, this series takes place before the Catacylsm.

This is by far the best "History" series I've ever read. It keeps you coming back for more and more. Though sadly it is out of print, and you have to pay like 20.00 for every book, the price is well worth it.*

*Check Ebay, I've seen quiet a few sets of them on there for a really good price...

This was without a doubt one of the best DL books I've read in a long time. While the first book was good, it was very slow, having to detail how all of the dwarven clans came together, getting very long in spots, but, in the end, still creating a good epic feel. On the other hand, this book was a fast-paced adventure with lots of magic which is just what I was looking for. If you've read the first book and aren't sure whether or not you should read this one, I'd highly recommend it!

The Kedrigern Chronicles, Volume 2: Dudgeon and Dragons proves to be yet another delightful and leisurely read by breezy fantasist John Morressey. No, it's not epic blood and guts Sword & Sorcery stuff, but is rather a more genteel and frothy form of fantasy. Kedrigern doesn't wield a soul-thirsty sword or carve up evil henchmen like so much sirloin steak. Like most civilized, learned mages, he uses instead his hard-earned knowledge and talent for wizardry to resolve his clients' dilemmas. Kedrigern is a homebody who dresses unassumingly and would rather wile away his time at his cozy cottage on top of Silent Thunder Mountain, in the company of his beloved wife Princess and their enthusiastic, ugly but loyal house-troll Spot. Alas, fate seems to be ever conspiring to send the reclusive wizard away on long, inconvenient trips to accommodate his vocation and, sometimes, to also oblige the whims of the more outgoing and convivial Princess.

This lighthearted second omnibus contains two full-length Kedrigern novels: Kedrigern in Wanderland and Kedrigern and the Dragon comme il faut, and seven short stories, 5 of which feature our favorite crusty wizard and 2 centering on his wizardly acquaintances. The author also writes a one-page foreword (a quick blanket recap of events leading to this point) and a 2-and-a-half page afterword. Nice to also hear that there are two more omnibus collections forthcoming.

Here are the contents:

Kedrigern in Wanderland (novel) - As their third year wedding anniversary looms, Princess announces that she wishes to have a magic wand as an anniversary gift. So, with reluctance (as usual, he'd rather stay home), Keddie takes his wife on the road again, and becomes embroiled in a quest involving the sentient magic sword Panstygia, Mother of Darkness (formerly a princess named Louise) and her ensorcelled royal kin (now in the forms of an iron shield, a crown, and a wand).

"To Market, to Market" (short story, first published anywhere) - Inspired by Christina Rossetti's poem "The Goblin Market," this one's about Kedrigern and Princess coming to the aid of a farmer, whose daughter Nell has been ensorcelled by nasty goblins.

"Reflection and Insight" (short story) - There is dissent in the marriage of King Sigert and Queen Brissault. Kedrigern has been commissioned to procure a magic talking mirror, as a birthday present by the king for his wife, in hopes of reconciling their differences. Of course, it's never that easy...

"Conhoon and the Fairy Dancers" (short story) - This one features the Irish wizard Conhoon of the Three Gifts, a colleague of Kedrigern's. Conhoon comes to the aid of a Hero, whose princessly wife has been bespelled by the capricious fairy Twisty Mike: her hand has been turned into a lobster claw. Conhoon must go in search of Twisty Mike and petition or force him to reverse the spell.

"Legend of Fair Women" (short story) - Tristaver is another contemporary of Kedrigern. Tristaver is not that proficient in wizarding, thus he specializes mostly in love charms. One day, he is prevailed upon to help a warrior maiden on a quest for the Grove of Desperation, where they must face a Gruesome Monster. Tristaver finds himself having to resort to base cunning and what lowly magic he does possess. His solution is fairly brilliant.

Kedrigern and the Dragon Comme Il Faut (novel, first appearance in English) - This one is an episodic adventure centering on Kedrigern and Princess's dealings with the romantic and magical entanglements of a haughty prince, a cursed (with cowardice) heir to the kingdom, a just-elevated princess (formerly a commoner and an enchanted cricket, but now chaperoned by a "civilized" dragon), and a doughty female knight out to prove herself. The last one mentioned also appears in "Legend of Fair Women." Keddie also encounters 5th-rate charlatans posing as wizards, verbal arachnids, a demon-possessed lord, and foul sorcery involving the mythical All-Tree.

"Fair Weather Fiend" (short story) - Kedrigern and Princess look into the problem of a king, who, on a bright and clear blue day, was seemingly struck by lightning and made addle-witted.

"The Indispensible Little Prince" (short story, first appearance in English) - Kedrigern rides to the rescue of the King of Darkwood, whose kingdom is under attack by malignant forces and whose princely son has been reduced to carrot size.

"Cold Comfort" (short story) - Kedrigern returns home after a month away and discovers that Princess and Spot have gone missing. He determines that a shapeshifting frost giant has stolen away his wife and his devoted house-troll. He turns to his old friend Bess the Wood-witch and comes away with two weapons with which to face the deadly frost giant: a camel-bite spell and a vial of Bess's noxious brew Old Fenny Snake.

"The Game is A Foot" (short story) - Shades of John Dickson Carr! Kedrigern, while staying at an inn, must play sleuth and solve the locked-room mystery of the murder of an abusive, loutish knight.

For anyone who loves Kedrigern, Princess, Spot and all the eccentric characters created by John Morressy, this book is a delight. Each tale can stand alone, but are mostly organized to create a continuing saga. A must read for Kedrigern lovers.

Along with Vol 1 it --- Must read!

In the mid-1980s, author John Morressy began writing about Kedrigern of Silent Thunder Mountain, a most puissant wizard. Expertly combining traditional sword-and-sorcery Fantasy with humor, these stories are laugh-out-loud funny, and an excellent addition to the library of any Fantasy reader.

This book combines two of Morressy's full-length novels with six short stories, many of which I have never seen before (the second novel appears nowhere in English, except in this book). If you have never read the Kedrigern books, then I suggest that you get this book, and join the ranks of the Kedrigern fans. If you are already a fan, then all I can say is that you *must* get this book!

The following stories are included in this book:

Kedrigern in Wanderland (209 pages) - Princess develops a desire to obtain a magic wand and prods the reluctant Kedrigern into undertaking yet another journey. Along the path, Kedrigern and Princess encounter a princess who was cruelly turned into a sword by an evil wizard; who also turned her brother into a shield, her sister into a crown, and her cousin into . . . a wand!

To Market, To Market (12 pages) - When a farmer's daughter goes off to the goblin market to obtain fresh fruit, she falls afoul of their evil magic. Kedrigern is only too happy to help, but it might just be that Princess's years in the bog might be of more help. (This is actually the weakest of the stories.)

Reflection and Insight (12 pages) - King Sigert has hired Kedrigern to find him a magic mirror that will flatter his wife, and hopefully save his marriage. However, when Kedrigern shows up with a mirror that cannot tell a lie, things work out quite differently than expected.

Conhoon and the Fairy Dancers (20 pages) - When Conhoon of the Three Gifts, the most famous wizard in all Ireland, has a hero come to his door, he finds that a new adventure awaits him. The Sidhe have ensorcelled the poor mans wife, and so it is up to Conhoon to once again outwit the Good People. (A great story!)

A Legend of Fair Women (23 pages) - Tristaver is an old friend of Kedrigern, but the only field of magic that he has ever excelled in was the production of love charms. But when a warrior maid drags him onto a deadly quest, it seems that his magic will be of little aid...or will it?

Kedrigern and the Dragon comme il faut (212 page) - When Kedrigern sets out to save an old friend from a demon, he runs into more complications than even he thought possible. Along the way he encounters a con-man wizard, the fiancé of a prince (now a cricket), talking spiders, an enchanted ruby, and a dragon who needs to get in touch with his inner-dragon.

Fair Weather Fiend (20 pages) - When Kedrigern is summoned to aid a king who has suddenly lost his wits, he must use his wits to find out who did it and why.

The Indispensable Little Prince (15 pages) - Kedrigern is summoned by the King of the Darkwood to defeat an evil enchantment that has befallen the kingdom. However, little does Kedrigern realize that he faces an ancient and malicious evil. (In spite of its size, this is probably the best story in the whole book!)

Cold Comfort (18 pages) - Returning to Silent Thunder Mountain, Kedrigern finds that that Princess and Spot (his house-troll) have been kidnapped. Bending all his magic towards finding them, he finds that the trail heads north, towards the biggest threat Kedrigern has ever faced!

The Game is A Foot (21 pages) - While staying at an inn, Kedrigern meets a most ill tempered fellow, a bullying knight who is used to getting his way. But, when the knight turns up murdered, with no wound or trace of magic on him, it's up to Kedrigern to solve this baffling mystery.

A great book!

My 9 year old son read all 3 books in one weekend! Even thought Grammie & Grandpa were visiting he kept reading ... even through dinner out. I'm serious, he read in the car, in bed and even put down GameBoy for the entire weekend (he only gets GB on the weekend) to read the books! He was laughing out loud while reading and LOVED the characters. Said he wished the series was like Box Car Children because there are 100's of those books. I love the fact that he likes them and the lead character is a strong girl. YEAH!

The evil Lord Graieconn and his allegiances of twisted Folk who call him their commander are growing stronger, while the current Imperial Wizard, the keeper of the Scepter of Light, continues to grow weaker. All of Eldearth is worried that their peaceful days are over. Eleven-year-old Princess Arnelle "Nell" who has overcome an extremely difficult task to be the next Imperial Wizard, must use all her intelligence and wit to stop the forces of the Dark Lord from extinguishing the Scepter of Light, which has always protected Eldearth from Graieconn. However soon Nell comes to the realization that she cannot do it alone. She must have the help of her twin brother Owen, her competitor for the title of Imperial Wizard. Can Nell and Owen work together to stop the dark forces? Will the two be strong enough?

This was a good conclustion to the Keeper's Trilogy. This wasn't my favorite fantasy trilogy but did have a very headstrong heroine that will connect with many young girls. Though this series is reminiscient of other books I have read, it does have its own uniqueness in some areas. Its a good book to read for leisure. A definite recommendation.

Exciting conclusion to the Keepers trilogy.

The Imperial Wizard, Guardian of the Scepter, is dying, and all the good people of Eldearth are worried. If the Imperial Wizard dies without choosing a successor, Graieconn, the Lord of Darkness, will take over Eldearth and rule over it with an iron fist. Eleven-year-old Nell is determined to be the next Imperial Wizard, but her long-lost twin brother, Owen, is favored because he is a boy. As Nell and Owen compete for title of Imperial Wizard, time is running out for Eldearth. Will Nell be strong enough to fight the forces of evil? And what if neither she nor Owen is the promised one, destined to be Imperial Wizard?

Readers who enjoyed the first two books in the Keepers trilogy won't want to miss the conclusion to Nell's adventures. I enjoyed this trilogy a lot, and I highly recommend it to young readers who enjoy fantasy adventures with strong girl characters.

This book was sooooo good! It really took me to an other world! As soon as I finished the series, I got jolted back to reality... I was pretty sad... Then I found a couple more cool books, (both series... wizard one and friends...) The Circle of Magic, Aragon, Dragons of North Chittendon, and A Glory of Unicorns. If you liked this book just as much, you might want to read these.

Munchkin Fu is a great variation on the near-classic Munchkin gameplay.

You battle your munchkin warriors (yakuza, samurai, monk or ninja) against hordes of demons, Gaki and other monsters and collect heaps of treasure and weapons along the way.

The game is fast-paced, VERY varied (and funny too), and easy to set up and play. It's just two card decks and one dice. Simple!

I'm taking off one star just because it's got a fairly steep learning curve. There are a lot of rules, and every card in the deck has it's own set of rules to follow. It can be very overwhelming for a new player... but it's interesting enough to stick with it, and after your first game, it's easy to plan strategies and keep up with the rules and gameplay.

Another item to note is that most Munchkin decks can be combined. ie. you can use your Munchkin Fu decks with your regular Munchkin decks, or other Munchkin games. Rules for combining decks are included.

I first got introduced to the original Munchkin game only about a month ago through my boyfriend, and I fell in love. Soon after I had to have my own set and decided on Munchkin Fu. Good choice! It requires a little bit of strategic thinking, but thats what I love about the game. And this particular set is great bc we all love those silly kung fu movies, and this game is like being in your very own kung fu movie...not really, but it is still a lot of fun.

Great Fun!!

A fun card game with an oriental twist. The cards keep me laughing with the different spoofs on other oriental games/movies. This is a great addition to the Munchkin cards games.

I was introduced to munchkin about 4 years ago. I bought it soon after and have played in hundreds of times! It is the greatest party game (for 4 people unless you have the expansions, then about 4-12). I personally own Muchkin (original) and Munchkin: Unatural Axe (1st expansion pack) I am now looking to purchase Star Munchkin and Munchkin Fu. I have played all 3 of these versions and not one is any less fun than the next! I guess it's all about preference. If you have ever played Munchkin you'll know what I am talking about!!!! ENJOY any of these great game!!!

This game is a A chop above the rest

Are you sick of dungons and space? Are you sick of orcs, and the singing and dancing sword? Have no Fear Munchkin Fu is here.

All the fun of Munchkin now making fun of the cheezy kung fu movies and shows of the past.

Can be combined with the other versions.

Tons of fun , buy it.
