This is a comprehensive work covering all aspects of archery, especially as it relates to ethical hunting. Chuck Adams draws from a lifetime of experience to illuminate his technical and practical advice. The book covers the fundamentals of shooting form, selecting, maintaining and tuning equipment, ballistics, hunting, and more. I have read the book and enjoyed it very much. If I could consult only one book on any aspect of archery, this would be the one.

This is one of the best casefile series books. Not only is it an introduction to the totally new high tech Hardy's, but a good look at their real lives & reactions to them. A real sense of family concern for one another adds to the book's attraction. Joe's guilt in betraying Iola, Fenton's anger in the boys for remaining in Bayport, Frank's concern for his brother, Chet's awkwardness around Joe following the explosion, Callie's tears in being tied up, these personal glimpses help it to be much mor

Fun in paradise
Helpful Votes: 1 out of 1 total.
Review Date: 2005-12-10
The Doctor's party is resting on the Paradise that is the planet Deva Loka. Nyssa needs a couple days to recuperate under the Delta wave augmentor so the Doctor, Tegan and Adric set off to explore. The Doctor and Adric end up captured by a madman while Tegan falls asleep and has some very strange dreams. You would think the madman would be the biggest problem, but turns out Tegan's dreams are as they could threaten the whole planet. This is another quick fun read and an intersting story. Nyssa's part is negligible, but Tegan and Adric are both pretty busy.

The non-companions get fleshed out a bit more than usual as well, particularly the two soldiers, Sanders and Hindle.

A Doctor Who Buddhist parable?

The TARDIS arrives on a peaceful-looking planet, which will allow Nyssa to rest and recover from her experiences in the previous story, 'Four to Doomsday'. While she does so, the Doctor, Adric and Tegan set out to explore the jungle around the ship. And it is more complicated than it looks: strange wind chimes, natives who don't speak, and an Earth exploration party who have been vanishing one-by-one are just the surface of a far more complex problem that lurks inside...

One of the best stories of Peter Davison's tenure, it is here adapted in a straightforward fashion by the prolific Terrance Dicks. For those who have some knowledge of Buddhism, the story's basis is plain, but even without that knowledge it remains an excellent, if esoteric, exploration of the mind.

If you are particularly fond of big explosions and large scale combat, look elsewhere. This book achieves both its threat and solution by quieter means and is all the more satisfactory for that.

Best clays book and coach

This is the best clays book I have read. I knew John Linn in the 90s and this is a translation of his great teaching skills into book form. This book is good for beginner through advanced shooter. Unlike other books it also includes a section on forming a team and good habits for young shooters. His guide does all this in well under 150 pages. Through this book I have passed on a small bit of his coaching to my son. I bought his book in 1991 and have continued to use it as a primary reference. I highly recommend it to both beginning and advanced shooters alike. Unfortunately the book is out of print and Coach Linn has passed away. If you are lucky enough to find a copy, buy it.

definitely the best skeet and trap book ever written

Finally an image presentation has been developed that includes total image: how to effectively succeed, look your best and feel great in today's world. Joyce and Cathy have covered all aspects of image including some sensitive issues in a clear, informative and "entertraining" style. They have supplied everything needed so you can present this seminar immediately to any group at any level. The materials are professional, aesthetically pleasing and easy to work with. Not only do they supply you with everything you need to be off and running, they also include themselves. Their mentoring is extremely valuable. In addition to their expertise, they become your own personal cheerleaders. Investing in this seminar is making an investment in your future that will keep giving.

Extremely Beneficial for Seminar Leaders

The benefits of The ImageMaker, Inc. Programs are as follows: (1) Personal Mentor who is "always available" when I need help. (and this is very hard to find with other courses and/or books. (2) The writers professionalism, experience and their knowledge in this field are a "safety" for everybody, even for people who have experience in this field, because you always have alot of things to teach. (3) The writers always know how to explain concepts in an easy way so that you can practice them immediately. (4) The subjects being offered are beautiful and useful. (5) From the FITT Seminar, I took some "Excellent ideas" for my seminars; like giving people something to fill in from the workbook included with this program.

I am very happy with my seminar program.

Different angle on Rennes-le-Chateau mystery
Helpful Votes: 13 out of 16 total.
Review Date: 2000-01-27
This book is a really good read for anyone interested in Rennes-le-Chateau. For those who have read "Holy Blood, Holy Grail" by Baigent et. al., this is a totally new and different perspective on the mystery. The basic premise of "H.B., H.G." is that Jesus didn't die on the cross, but has a direct line of decendants to the present day, and relates this to the secret organization Prieur de Sion and Freemasonry. Wood and Campbell take the same information Baigent et. al. used to derive this hypothesis and, using a more mathematical approach, relate the secret of Rennes-le-Chateau not to Jesus Christ, but to a returning comet that will destroy the earth at a certain date. Worth reading!

Dear Sir !
Congratulations !Great books !But !
I.m missing the
explanation for the content of Foquet abbé:
"...so difficult to discover that nothing now on
this earth can prove of better fortune nor be their
equel.."
Nevertheless it is questionig to me,why Posussin
informed Foquet so easily-if this is so secret ?
Furthermore I doubt about the fact, how could Poussin
undertood all these really difficult mathematics in
this century-if it makes difficulties to me as well in
2001 ?

...and what is meaning:"nothing better fortune" ???
Just the mathematic rules and ????
I.m absolutely sure there should be more than this
and I think there should be any link, how rapidly
Sauniere became rich ?!
These are currently my doubts and questions to you.

The Bebop Secret
Helpful Votes: 0 out of 0 total.
Review Date: 2008-07-28
I took some lessons a while back from an amazing trombonist (I play guitar) that just blew my mind with the most musical lines I'd ever heard. He was trying to convince me that what he did was such a simple concept. It was target tones that he had worked with. I messed around with it, and then I found this book. Don's way of explaining the concept behind target tones is simple, easy for guitarists of MANY skill levels to comprehend (although not limited to the guitar!), and VERY thorough. He starts with 2 positions of Maj7, min7 and Dom7 arpeggios and guides you through with baby steps up to the smokin' lines that you hear him absolutely RIP on! Most teachers can't play as well as they teach (there are many exceptions, such as Ted Greene, Scott Henderson and others), but this guy BURNS in a Jimmy Herring way, with bebop and what not. The instructions to playing his examples are explained fully and hearing Don play them at full speed will make you hungry to develop your lines. I don't think that the book is on the thin side. The point is to teach you HOW to develop this technique, not give you a bunch of licks (you get licks, though, but rooted deeply in the practical application of the subject matter). That said, this book is great for many instruments as it applies to MUSIC, not really just guitar. Well done, Mr. Don Mock!!!

This book is a little on the thin side but it is packed with eye opening information on bebop guitar playing. Don Mock explains examples on the audio CD as you follow the book. This really helps to demistify complex ideas when you hear Don calmly explain what he wants you to understand. He shows a multitude of great sounding fusion-style jazz bebop chromatic runs as he targets chord tones. The first few pages are worth the price as Don gives his secret to playing over chord changes using "target melodies" - a revolutionary technique to quickly play pro sounding jazz lines.

Great recap of what is homeland security and not in the venicular of a newspaper! There has been a lot of laws passed, hearings held, committees formed and these books (3) get into the nuts and bolts of how we got there. A good read... primarily for an educational class or assignment but that's where the details are. A must read if you have been brainwashed by the New York Times or Los Angeles Times.

I read this book when I was in third grade and have loved it ever since. The book is about a girl who takes a journey and throughout that journey meets many different people, she learns that judging people is very nice, unless you learn to know them. Natty is not very rich, in fact, she is actually poor but she still lives with that fact. If you have a child who is still in the process of learning how to read, or even loves to read chapter books, this is the right one for him or her. Enjoy!
