A superb read - especially the last section on Lizzie Borden, pointing up the WASPishness of the whole thing, even unto the
disgusting food (and sanitary) habits of this family, which would be enough to make anyone snap.

Absolutely the best book about treating marine injuries with up to date and professional information. This should be a must
for anyone spending much time in the water--professionally or recreationally.

If you've already read Mike Mueller's first Corvette offering, or if you happen to think the Sting Rays of the mid-sixties
were the best of the bunch, this book's another must-read. Done in the same style of his previous efort, with lots of technical
and historical information, Mr. Mueller provides an in-depth look at the five-year run of Sting Rays. He also supplies
many beautiful examples of his own photographic expertise. This book's an excellent companion to any other Corvette books
you may own, as well as a logical follow-up to Mr. Mueller's first book.

My dog-eared copy of this book is a great source of general information for Mid-Years. It is well organized, interesting,
a very good read with good information, particularly for the novice Mid-Year 'Vette buyer.

Jungle Stories is a a book co-written by Sting and photographer Jean Pierre Dutilleux about their visits to the Amazon rainforest,
firstly in 1987 (when he was accompanied by Trudie Styler), and later in 1989 (when trying to get President Sarney to agree
to the demarcation of the Xingu National Park). Dutilleux was responsible for introducing Sting to the problems being faced
by the Amazonian indians and for introducing him to Chief Raoni. The book features many superb colour photographs of the
rainforest and the damage being done by logging and mining companies, but especially of the mysterious and proud Indian tribes.
Sting introduces us to several larger than life characters in his contributions. His writing is good - written in short,
snappy, journal fashion, serious without being overly so, and punctuated with flashes of humour. His admiration for the
Indians shines through the book, and Dutilleux's excellent photographs - many of Sting - set this book off marvellously.
Highly recommended.

My friend bought this book for me and I thought it was going to be the usual mix of debasing women and horrible writing, stale
plot lines and no back story to make it interesting but i was soooooo wrong. Each story is like a peek into a new character's
mind. They are all wonderfully written and there is so much variety. There were even some surprises in the stories that made
me put the book down so i could collect my thoughts. I particularly liked this book because none of the stories were frightening.
Sometimes when the subject of bondage is brought up its automatically brought around to nipple clamps and weird masks and
pain. None of these were like that. They had just enough bondage to be really hot and did not go overboard into the realm
of scary things I do not want to think about. I finished this book over springbreak because I just could not put it down.
I would highly recommend this to anyone interested in or curious about erotic restraint or anyone that just wants to read
wonderfully written sexy stories.

My 85 year old father kept bringing up "brownies" in conversation. "You know, the little fairies, remember? After searching
I finally found them here. My dad was so pleased! I love the charming illustrations, the story telling style is from another
time, this book is a peek back to the things that my dad enjoyed when he was young.

Scorpion's Sting combines elements of clever detective work, compelling personal narrative, and Southwestern life and politics
to create an intreguing tale that any reader will love. When McKenzie's unlikely hero, Hal Taylor, adds part-time detective
work to his credentials as a high school history teacher and father, he quickly finds himself involved in one of the biggest
cases in Arizona history. McKenzie adds vibrant character depth to an excellently developed story, and the result is a terrific
novel.

in general). She now plays it for us when we are visiting at her house...everyone really enjoys it!

This is the ultimate book for anyone wanting to understand Sting operations from A to Z, or for a practioner that wants to
set up a sting operation Lt. Frazier leaves nothing out of this work. It gives the reader all the background information
and ups and downs of such an operation. I highly recommned the book and author. I have seen his work first hand and there
is no one better within the field. Lt. Frazier knows what he's talking about and has proven that time and again with his
many sting operations netting 100s of hard core crooks each time he puts a sting together....a great book for anyone in
the business or student of criminal justice.

If any part of your family comes from the sorts of backgrounds described in the book, you will immediately recognize the types among your relatives. I found a dozen or so, which seems typical. I've given away, or lent and had not returned, probably a dozen copies of this lamentably out-of-print book over the past 20 years since I was first introduced to it by an Episcopal seminarian (how appropriate!)
One of Miss King's most seminal services for non-WASPs in this book is her (now somewhat dated) explication of the varieties of Protestantism, and particularly the fact that in many cases denominational affiliation has less to do with specific doctrine than social background and ethnicity.
I honestly believe this to be a book that every serious student of American society should read with care.
