My husband and I wanted to do some time in "wine country" during our 1 year stay in France. We picked up this book at a local "english language library" and it was great! It really gives a lot of good information about the regions, the wineries, and the traveller's perspective on wine country in general. We've also used it extensively to document our pictures after the fact -- you know how you can forget the names of the 20 chateaux and 12 towns you visited! Well, this book provides enough information to put it back together when you are looking at a picture of a very pretty building which you cannot remember the name of.

It doesn't cover particular wines in detail (mentioning only a few), but for wineries, its a great guide.

The Wine Atlas of France by Hubrecht Duijker (with support from Hugh Johnson) is the best way to start exploring the various famous French wine regions by car. After presentation of the history and a description of a particular wine region, the book lists the address and describes the important wine estates of the region. Suggested routes for driving as well as listings of the top regional restaurants and hotels, in order to recover from the wine tasting. Besides excellent maps of different scales to find your way round the book has superb pictures so that you know what to expect. Alternatively, you may first want to use the book to browse through the various wine regions. Even without using the book as a travel guide it is very useful in locating wines and their vineyards.

This books contains informative descriptions, combined with detailed maps, and beautiful pictures, covering all the major wine producing regions of France. In addition, the author includes his favorite vineyards for each region. This book is a must for anyone travelling to France or just interested in learning more about the wine producing regions of France. Included in each section are a few selections on where to eat and where to stay as well. Having personally taken this book on my most recent trip, I can give it my hearty endorsement.

After reading from the book and actually using the products, it is easy to come to the conclusion that this stuff works... How great is it to know there are natural supplements you can put into your body that have no chemicals.

I thought this book clarified a lot of the confusion that surrounds probiotics. It's clearly been well researched yet, it's an easy read. I enjoyed the story telling style as well as the author's experiences.

I had heard about Probiotics before but when Dr Mehmet Oz appeared on Oprah and talked about health and Probiotics I wanted to know more. I checked this book out of the library three times and decided to buy it with my birthday money. I love the pictures and all the types of martial arts covered.

It's GREAT!

I recommend this book to all young karate students who would like to explore their own and other types of martial arts. Is also good for those who are interrested in karate. I've read this book, and it's filled with fun facts and tips, and bright, colorful photographs. This book is great!

I took part in the making of this book. My two students and my son Rhydian Tolcher-James are also part of the book.

I would rate this book as perfect for the beginner who is looking to join a reputable martial art and organisation.

The perfect table book for snake lovers. The pictures are large, colorful and very sharp. The paper is high quality and I will be looking for more books of this type to set on my coffee table.

If you like, own or are considering buying a California Mountain Kingsnake then this is a fine book to get started with. It tells you how to look after them, from general care to breeding and has some great pictures of the different types.

My husband is a big reptile guy, so I bought him this book for his birthday. He absolutely loved it - great detail about the snake and excellent pictures. The best part was he shared it with my son and now my son is all about the snake, wanting as much information as he can get his hands on. Great book for young and old reptile fans.

I'm not much of a cook, but this is my all time favorite cookbook. I have never made a meal from this book that didn't turn out really well. Even a beginner can be successful with this cookbook. I especially like the fact that the recipes call for mostly fresh ingredients as opposed to canned items.

I have used this book, and others in the series, for years now. There are numerous recipes of quick delicious food that really do take only 30 minutes to prepare. Each page or two is a menu suggesting appetizer, side dishes and a main dish and desert, along with a wine suggestion. I pick and mix the dishes or just run through a whole menu. They have basic dishes and dishes from around the world. Nothing is too complicated and the instructions are very clear. The photographs make everything look great. Highly recommended.

The ABC's of Character for People Around the World I had the honor of seeing this wonderful book prior to it going to press. I told the publisher, Dr. Trevy McDonald of Reyomi Publishing, that this book was a winner--and it is! The illustrations are so beautiful, and the prose is both educational and uplifting. My hope is that posters be made from each of the pages of the alphabet (hint, hint). My personal favorite page is the "letter P". I must get a poster print of that page! Character education is extremely important, and it's important to teach children while they're young. Every daycare center and early education program should have The ABC's of Character for People Around the World on their bookshelves, and teach their students from it.

When I first heard about this book I purchased only one. After I received it and read it I called the author and ask how I could order 1800 copies. My intent is that every Elementary Student in Greenville, South Carolina will have the book read to them by a youth in The Mentoring Group and given a copy. The illustrations are outstanding and the message is Respect,Kindness,Encouragement,Love and Patients. Best of all the Children will love it and read it over and over again. Acts of murder is an excellant book sure to grab even the most reluctant reader. Karl Alberg once again finds him self trying to piece together murders that seem unrelated, yet somehow, he suspects, they are all related. However, the book is very atmospheric, depending more on mood rather than action, and why rather than who. Ms. Wright may be in line for another Edgar with this terrific tale.
