At long last, a genuinely holistic discussion of the meaning of life, the universe and everything! This breathtakingly wide-ranging book takes in just about every discipline known to human thought, with a startling array of new insights that should be making scientists and philosophers around the world sit up and take notice along with the rest of us. Most importantly of all, this is not some abstract discussion - it is an urgent call to action. By turning every assumption you have ever held upside down, Paul Bailey shows how every single one of us has the power to make a real and significant difference, each moment of our lives.
If we are ever to start fixing the major problems we humans have created in our world, then this is just the kind of new way of thinking we are going to need. Anyone even remotely concerned about what the future holds for themselves and their children should read this astonishing book right now.

Superlatives are necessary. A brilliant visionary without smoke & mirrors.

I have not read a more perceptive book that encompasses everything from environmental issues to the development of the self to quantam physics. Forget self help/self development, chicken soup, politically motivated social commentary. TAKE ACTION, have some balls and read Think of an Elephant. You can, and you have to, make a difference and, most importantly, you are able to, even if you don't know it yet.Paul Bailey has produced the most thought provoking, life challenging work and it needs to be read, discussed and actioned...before it is too late......tick tock....

The quilts in this book are breathtakingly beautiful with using only squares. If you're sick of dealing with half-square triangles (I sure am!) you're sure to find something you like in this book. It's not in print anymore, but I bought it used through Amazon and was very pleased with the perfect condition (and price) of the book.

After reading Dr. Catanzaro's book I came away with options to explore further. I did not know that there were other treatments that would actually bring healing to the body instead of killing, cutting, poisoning and irradiating. I came away with a sense of empowerment to choose my options in treatment and I will explore this further. Thank you Dr. Catanzaro for your work!

A simply excellent guide

COMPLETE BOOK OF FOOD COMBINING

This book is the best book on food combining that I have read to date. Jan Dries makes food combining easy and understandable for anyone who is fortunate enough to read this book. I was able to see and follow the process of digestion with diagrams that were as simple as any I have seen in a book of this kind. It was succinct and to the point not a drawn out treatise on the subject. Would recommend this book highly to anyone interested in food combining or curious about the subject.

I was able to read and understand the process of digestion and adsorption in uncomplicated everyday language. Jan Dries makes food combining easy and fun!

I highly recommend this book to the novice or experienced decoupager. Rhonda Rainey has very thoughtfully compiled a very user-friendly guide. What impressed me most, in comparison to many other decoupage how-to books, was how clearly everything is explained and layed out in order to complete the featured techniques. Not only that, there is an easy to understand, not too technical overview of decoupaging at the start of the book. The print is very readable. All the materials, tools, and supplies needed are pictured and listed which is very helpful. Last but not least, her creative ideas with combining decoupage with faux finishes are the most appealing designs that I have seen compiled in one book. I have many other decoupage books but I regard Decorating with Paper and Paint as my decoupage bible.

Twenty-six completely different, gorgeous and remarkably easy techniques are shown in glorious, large photos, and with very complete step-by-step instructions.

If you have (or want to have) anything to do with either working with paper or paint, stamping, embossing, decoupaging, gilding, scrapbooking, or pressing flowers or leaves, you will use these techniques for the rest of your life in millions of ways, and never tire of the creative possibilities uniquely yours with professional, stunning results possible every time.

I've only begun to get into paper crafting in the last few months, and I had no problem re-creating the techniques into projects of my own, and into three of the eighteen projects she gives to kick-start creativity with the demonstrated techniques. This book will be a favorite for years to come! It's for the person who is only thinking about trying this type of craft (by the time you're done perusing this book, you'll jump in and start doing!) all the way to the person who has done this stuff for years, as the inspiration is powerful...

I was given a copy of Get Well with the Hay Diet by a friend who knew that I was already a convert. For over fifteen years I had suffered terribly from dreadful gastric problems and when a colleague suggested that I tried the Hay Diet it was like a miracle cure. Literally overnight I was cured of the dreadful pains that had been a daily part of my life for so long. Two years later I had lost a stone and a half and feel fitter and more energised than ever. The proof of this could be the fact that I am running the London Marathon this year. So when I started to read Jackie Habgood's excellent book I wondered if there was anything more I could learn. It is a really comprehensive look at all aspects of food combining and I learnt a great deal that I didn't know before; helpful tips and advice about all aspects of the diet. I can thoroughly recommend it to anyone who is thinking of starting to food combine and anyone who is a dedicated combiner already. Get reading - get healthy!

the only book you should have

When I first read about the Hay diet, I though that it would be difficult to follow it, and that it wasn't practical. But after only about two weeks of combining food in this way, I found that it wasn't that difficult at all, and I felt much better than I had when I was eating meat with potatoes. I believe this book is THE book for healthy living. If you're skeptical, this book will change your mind. It is the best book on food combining out there. It will work for people trying to loose weight, or someone who is just tired of feeling sick. I also recommend looking into the books by Paul Bragg. They also contain great information, but some of it is repeated sometimes.

Any educator interested in examining factors that contribute to low student achievement will appreciate the step by step analysis process recommended by the author. By looking at existing programs and casting aside those that do not address issues at hand, the author offers a variety of real-life examples to model a better planning and problem-solving approach. With templates and graphic organizers to help make sense of data, educators can more clearly see the "what" and "how" of using data effectively and efficiently. It's useful and practical, just like education--and educators--need to be.

This book contains clear black and white information for the religious and non-religious folks alike. In it are the comparative guidelines that show how Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) and religion are perfect parallels to each other. It tears down the barriers that were once put up between therapy and faith, showing that they can both work together as a team without arguing. To paraphrase a tidbit:

"With REBT, you learn to accept that you make mistakes. With religion, God offers the chance of repntence for your sins."

As a patient, I've seen so many so-called "Licensed Clinical Social Workers" whom I wished had this knowledge.

FABULOUS!!!

I have had the opportunity to read Spiritual Therapy several times. I consider it a treasure. I have referred back to Jim's book time and time again. Not only has it helped me emotionally, it has helped me to understand why I feel the way I feel and think the way I think. I have recommended this book to friends and loved ones hoping it will change their lives for good as it has mine. Thank you so much Jim. Karen
