I thought this was a terrible book. There are much better ones available on this important subject.

Lots of information about managing life threatening diseases, and information about chemo agents, and about alternative medicines etc. Lots of repetitive warnings about not using any alternative medicines while in chemo. But nothing I found helpful in doing what the book claims -- combining traditional and alternative approaches. I can understand his concern about FDA and ethical issues re giving medical device, but this was a huge disappointment.

As an M.D. with over 20 years`experience working with cancer patients, combining complementary, medical and palliative approaches, I ordered this book with great expectations, which were strengthened by the catchphrase "combine the best of science and the best of nature to combat cancer".
Best of science? What science? This book is loaded with strong opinions and assertations, presented as truth, often contradicting findings from recent research on complementary therapies - BUT NOT A SINGLE REFERENCE OR SOURCE QUOTATION in a book of 340 pages claiming to be scientific and authoritative. Hoping to find his sources, I seek his web page. More of hyperbole about the author and the selling of his products, but not a single reference to research - just the repeated claims about how scientific his "breakthrough" work is. There is no feedback column, just loads of opportunity to buy his goods and services. So here is my feedback. I believe that this is precisely the approach that we must avoid if the field of integrated medicine, combining "the best of both worlds" is to advance.

Thanks to Dr. Labriola for making this difficult subject understandable to cancer patients and their families. I am an oncologist who sees many patients trying to research complementary therapies, prevent complications and maximize quality of life. His readable and well organized book gives the reader tools to make wise decisions, free from divisive rhetoric. He is especially expert at interactions between traditional and alternative therapies. New patients will appreciate his helpful criteria for choosing the right doctors, traditional or alternative. The glossaries are fantastic. For those who are exploring the intersection of conventional cancer medicine and the array of complementary choices, this book is a great starting point. I highly recommend it.

I heard the "author" on the Howard Stern show this morning. She and her son participated in "It's Just Wrong" where the son would have to undress his mom if he answered questions wrong. Great premise, but the mom, who authored this lousy book, was very drunk and extremely obnoxious. She kept insisting on calling her son a motherf*%#er. Nice mom!! Don't bother buying this, it's not worth it at all. There are many, many more high quality books out there on sex and how to please your lover. DO NOT waste your money.

Book was very poor quality. Looked like it had been produced on a copy machine using very poor stock. Content was equally poor. It looked more like soft pornography than the exercise book I was expecting. ...

I ordered and downloaded this e-book and found it totally worthless.....not even enough to qualify as an article in a trading magazine....a page of "gee I found this helpful" and a few charts without text. No context, no indicator settings, no caveats.
I've read many books and magazines on various forms of technical analysis and was interested in ADX. This one was not worth the bandwidth it took up...kind of like ordering a muffin and getting only a raisin.
It's the first time after many years and $1000's of stuff purchased on Amazon that I've ever asked for a refund.

The heading "The Only Fitness Book You Need" is total baloney. The author's attempt to combine eastern and western philosophies falls way short as there is very minimal mention of eastern practices. Her examples of both stretching and resistance exercises are sorely lacking and her sample workouts at the end of the book may be challenging if you're over 50 and have physical challenges.
You would be better off buying separate books on eastern and western exercise philosophy and practices

Misleading and Unorganized

This is the typical book created putting together technical papers, proceedings, and working papers without a unifying structure.
This is a short list of this book's limitations:
1) Fragmented: every chapter is written by a different author.
2) Unorganized: Neural Networks are introduced only at chapter 11.
3) So badly planned that both chapter 11 and 18 have basically the same content. You can look yourself inside the book to see that.
4) Lack of examples: very few implementations of NN are provided or suggested.
5) Out of context: many chapters are not related to Neural Networks at all, for example chapter 16 is about Yield curve modelling, and chapter 21 is dedicated to Portfolio Optimization without any contextual reference to NN. Please be aware that after introducing these topics there is NO follow-up whatsoever with NN application examples.
6) Misleading: The content about Neural Networks is really minimal.
