This book, like all in the series, is compact, easy to follow, and very educational.

Service was excellent.

I was very happy to find these cards on Amazon since they are no longer available from American Girl. The order was placed easily and delivered quickly in time for Christmas.

A top book, but not for beginners. Coffin's terminology sounds weird today, and most examples in the book are rather rare, but if you are a champion-level player you will find the information there useful.

This book starts by assuming you have no knowledge of cards or poker. Walks you through the hand rankings, into the basics of table play.

Transitions well into mid level tactics like determining odds and probablities of hands, including pot odds and bluffing.

Follows up with advanced topics like classifying opponents, mentally preparing for play, and knowing when to quit.

Not really a "system" book, just a solid primer for poker play.

Money well spent.

Very good. Teaches you by presenting grave errors from bridge experts. After all, bridge is fun!

[Okay, so I don't know french] I DO know that this deck is appropriately named. I LOVE this deck! When I first got it I couldn't stop looking at it. It sticks to traditional Tarot imagery, but in a funny, sometimes slightly twisted way. The artwork is truly Victorian in feel and the cream color of the borders of the cards give them that old parchment feel. The "animal people" depicted are truly unique and each one is given such character. The creators did such a great job of capturing artist Grandville's unusual style. My only criticism--and it is a small one--is that the cards are thinner than most decks which can make it a tad more challenging to riffle. But I am NOT about to remove a star for a little riffle trifle. In fact, if I could ADD a star, I would.

Bottom line--if you love Tarot, Grandville, Victorian art, and/or humor, BUY THIS DECK. In my opinion it's a "must-have" addition to any collection.

All of the Fantasy Collector Cards are a very valuable resource for Dungeon Masters. Some nights when the game goes somewhere you didn't expect and you find your self in need of a few NPCs, the cards give you a quick easy resource to pull from. Along with traps magical items and monsters these also make a good replacement for an encounter table.

This is a great deck for parents who want to introduce their daughters to fortune telling cards. While the deck is not the same as a tarot deck, it does run parallel to the tarot.

There is a "Your Life" card which acts as a significator and the pamphlet that accompanies the deck offers easy to learn layouts and divinatory games using the cards.

Both excellent and fun! All the girls in my family are getting this in their Easter baskets this year.

The authors make an excellent work of making parody plots out of famous writers' work (AC Doyle, Jane Austen, Jeffrey Archer, Raymond Chandler and Victor Mollo) and the deals presented are actually educational, and in no way exaggerated hands that would never be dealt in real life.

The book's light-hearted plots are easily read, and the hands tie up with the characters' personalities too.

If the term 'summertime bridge reading' existed, it would apply 100% to this book.
