Elizabrth Murrray's books and art work are beautiful and inspiring. I am contributing these volumes to the public school of my grandchildren to accompany thier new school garden. She has a new book of art by children in Equador called Nantu Aujujae but I couldn't find it with your search, I wanted to include it with the other Elizabeth Murray books for the school. I hope you post it soon.

Murray's book is the next best thing to being there.

An easy read and visual feast, Monet's Passion exposes methods behind the color, texture, layout and scents of his magical gardens. It magnifies one's experience visiting the gardens or his works in galleries, and is a valuable companion to the painter's many works.

The book motivated me to visit Giverny, France.

Beautiful photographs of the gardens at all seasons. Plant lists. The author tells about the history of Giverny and her experiences as a gardener there. It would have been helpful to know which US zones the plants would be hardy in.

I'd recommend this book to anyone anyone in the HR field; it has something to offer everyone from the newcomers in the field to people who've been there 20 years or more. Great book! :-)

Every now and then you may be lucky enough to come across a work such as this. It's a very honest, sometimes painfully honest account of one man's struggle to live in a world that is almost too alien to bear. The insights in the journey of overcoming Asperger's Syndrome, sometimes sublime into the spirtual - to the very ordinary, are an inspiration. This is a must read! Whether your interest is professional or just understanding the human condition. You really do feel that you are walking with him, every step of the way.

This book has remarkable insight !

From a literary point of view, this is by far your best book yet. But from a subject matter point of view, it is just outstanding. It is written well enough that, as I read each of the episodes you relate, I agonized with you as you strove to deal with each. The book is a remarkable insight into the thoughts and personality, even the mind, of someone who looks at the world through a different set of lenses than most of us do.
Cumulatively, the episodes and their outcomes gradually made me realize that something was missing in how you regarded the personnel in each event and how you assessed "blame" for the contretemps that often resulted. It eventually dawned on me that there was very little, if any, empathy for the views and feelings of others in the way you approached these situations. It seemed difficult for you to understand how the other guy or gal might feel about a particular situation. When I mentioned this to other professionals, they told me that the lack of empathy is a major symptom of Asperger's.
However, the overriding feeling I experienced while reading your book was admiration. Time after time, I said to myself, "Man, that took a lot of guts to write that!" Although perhaps therapeutic, writing the book also must have been quite painful. But beyond whatever therapeutic value writing it had for you, think of how invaluable the insight you provide into what it is like to live with Asperger's and ultimately overcome it will be to others with the condition, to family and care-givers, and to medical and psychological professionals working to treat those with Asperger's. You have done a great service, undoubtedly at no small cost to yourself, to all who are involved in any way with this condition and they should be grateful.
Congratulations on a job very well done!

This book is a rare gem and a recently discovered treasure. In addition to being well written, one can identify with much of what the author has chosen to share. It provides a much needed window with parted curtains into autism/Asperger's (a/A) perceptions and interpretations.

It has been said and evidence appears to support the finding that people on the a/A spectrum learn empathy cognitively as opposed to intuitively. Seeing the view from another person's perspective is challenging for most people, but for those on the a/A spectrum it is all the more so.

This book is one that commands respect; being able to disclose the level of information that is found in this book is nothing short of courageous. It is the voice of hope for those with any form of autism; for professionals and for those personally involved with people on the a/A spectrum. This is a book for everybody! Being able to share these insights and observations made me think of the song "Climb Every Mountain" from "The Sound of Music."

Hats off to this book!

What was important in our lives used to mean just that ... what was important. Many of us have lost the meaning in that message, not Hal Manogue. He takes us to the essence of what it is that our life is about and allows us to find our own path to what we really need in life. He helps the reader become free of the restraints imposed by the pressures of the world and actively pursue the goals of happiness and spirituality necessary for our own peace on Earth. I recommend this book to anyone wondering what life is about. I look forward to reading more from this gifted writer and spiritual advisor.

Stunning tidbits of wisdom for daily digestion

Years ago I met a poet online by the name of Hal Manogue. Hal wrote wonderful observations couched in poetry, and we began an e-mail exchange related to ideas and inquiry. During the time we corresponded it was evident to me that Hal had a capacity for prose that would incorporate his poetic spirit, but develop thoughts in a way that would provide grand insights for others. He began a BLOG, incorporating thoughts of famous people throughout history, and renewed them with his insights that bore significance for us today. Out of this, a book was born, and I am more than pleased to recommend it. I was honored to write a testimonial for his book jacket, and will share it with you here:

"Out of the ashes the Phoenix arises, and out of the Poet, the universe is birthed. Hal Manogue introduces us to the words of great poets, philosophers and writers through the ages, and then adds his eloquent observations to awaken us to our own wondrous gift of being.

"I have watched the unfolding of this remarkable talent, and am in awe of Hal's ability to take and remake what was past into a meaningful present and vibrant future. This book is a daily reminder of who we are and what we were designed to become. It fills in the blanks and opens the way for any and all possibilities. Read and digest it in joy!"

You can pick up the book and open to any page at random, receiving a powerful reminder of your potential in easily digestible portions.

A great read for the spirit!

Many people believe that they have no say in how their life evolves. They think that God, fate, chance, or genes have control of their earthly journey. In this book, you will learn that we are co-creators of our own lives and circumstances by the choices we make.

After reading this book, I believe that peace on earth is possible if we will only find this peace within our own silence--our own inner being that is connected to ALL THERE IS. To become the master of our lives, we must stop seeing ourselves as separate from God or one another. By simply changing our thoughts, we can change things around us.

Like a modern day Rumi, Hal builds on the quantum science theory that we are living many lives simultaneously in other dimensions or planes of reality. He uses nature, animals, and daily events to draw conclusions about enlightenment and awareness. The insights in this book can change your life.

Many students have all but given up trying to understand Torah concepts and Teachings. The Rabbis talk in riddles and you must have a "Chavrusa" or Rabbi to understand Torah, Mishna, Gemora, Psalms. I found this book to be direct and clear when explaining difficult concepts and decrees by God. I reccommend this writing to novice and learned alike since I found clairfication on several items that I thought I had down pat. I did not find any other books by this author. Let's hope he is just getting started and that we will merit to read his other works as he matures.

This is a great book and a must for any hockey coach. Where else can you get the mind set of so many great coaches? The George Kingston section alone is priceless and I didnt even know who he was! This isnt a book on X's and O's. Its a book on motivation and leadership. Something that carries over into the "real" world....or at least anything outside of hockey.
I use the info in this book everyday

Highlights are George Kingston, Clare Drake, and Pat Quinn. Spend the $15-$20. Trust me

This book is a must read for the dedicated hockey coach. The 12 coaches interviewed (pro, semi-pro and college) offer their philosophies on "leading" people. The other reviewer is correct. This is not a guide to developing strategy. Rather, a very effective way to explore how you evaluate and develop players, how you create team, how you develop yourself as a coach with a vision, and how you implement the vision. This book is an honest examination by the most successful coaches of their successes, failures, the challenges of being a coach, leading players, and balancing work and life. If you approach coaching hockey as a "calling," to help improve young men and women, you will read and re-read this book constantly.

Good book. It's basically an interview process with all the coaches listed where they write the question asked followed by the response from the coach, with most of the questions being the same. There is little strategy discussed in the book which was the only disapointment I had. Other then that, it's fantastic for anyone in the coaching bussiness or in managenement. Some of the coaches don't go into great detail on things or give short answers, but I'd recommend it for an hockey lover.
