For the Record Books

I sought out this volume for further research about the Canadian River in Texas, which is where Blue Duck and his gang camped, just after Blue Duck had kidnapped Lorena Wood away from Jake Spoon. I was not disappointed.

There are two CD's in this set. The first one gives an overview of the original program (37 minutes) and tips for use (5 minutes). I recommend putting headsets on parents, teachers, caregivers and even colleagues--it is a great introduction to the program. The second CD has 15 songs-- the authors provide an "engine changer key" on each song to help develop treatment plans and it is easy for parents to use. If a child's engine is running too high, just look for the songs with a down arrow! You do not need any other equipment--the directions are built into the lyrics. In the past, when I am playing this CD, other kid-therapist-parent teams have been known to join in! The kids learn quickly about how their bodies are feeling, and which song will help them to get to "just right". My favorite is the Flea Market Song!

This book is the most complete and helpful book I've come across. I am happy that I bought it because once it is totaly read and filled out I will have a secure peace about what to do once a loved ones passes on. I would recommend this book to everyone. I took piano for years as a kid and just started up again. I play level 3 pieces easily, level 4 with some practice, and level 5 only if I have to. I would consider this a somewhere between level 3 and level 4. The songs are great and true to the bands recordings.

We purchased many cassettes about subjects that our little toddlers might like. Alot of them were about animals. This cassette interested them from the very start and is their favorite. They play it daily. Bobby Susser is very imaginative and is exceptionally tuned into children's interests. Each song of his makes this so apparent. This is a great cassette for kids.

A very good CD to cuddle up next to the fireplace with on a cold winter's night, along with a good book, a hot cup of cocoa or coffee, and the christmas tree twinkling.

Sundquist's very tasteful and pensive renditions of these carols is very simple,sometimes haunting and melancholy, and always beautiful and relaxing. This is so refreshing when compared to some of the most recent redo's of old favorites by pop stars.Very nicely done

This book is incredably well-written. Although I had not read a statistics text in 12 years, this book balanced theoretical development, explanation, and examples in such a way that it was actually easy to read. The organization of the book makes looking up a particular topic very easy. The reference list is extensive. The best thing about the book is the set of graphics and maps to illustrate the mathematics, modeling, and outcomes. This book is a must-have for anyone involved in spatial statistics, disease clustering, epidemiology.

I have both Brief Encounters, the book in hard cover, and Briefs Encountered, CD-ROM. The ability to get a brief on the fly while someone is blowing you away is the nicest present you could give yourself. I write all my jobs real-time and I run the Briefs Encountered underneath my real-time screen. When there's a word that I'm tired of writing in three or four strokes, because it's coming up constantly, I can get click on the task bar, type in the word and have an instanteous brief that is worthy of going into the permanent dictionary and keeping for a lifetime. Our jobs are difficult enough, so why not do yourself a favor and give this program a try. Would you really mind not working as hard and not being as stressed and having consistently copperplate notes? It's easy to write one stroke perfectly in the time you used to write it in three or four strokes. I think this program is invaluable. I think you will, too.

If you are planning to start your own business, this is the book to buy! Not only does it help organize your thoughts, it provides a base for meetings, notes, action plan... everything. This book is well worth the investment.
