For the Record Books

A slick new cover does not mask the original printing of this atrocious record book. Out of date and in your face illustrations leave little room for family memories. Publisher fills book with framed blank pages for photos rather than nuture ideas. If you want a terrific journaling series, check out the titles by Linda Kranz, Northland Publishing/Rising Moon. Her mothers journal, "For My Child, A Mother's Keepsake Journal" is a treasure and can be used by new mothers as well as old, seasoned ones like myself. All of her journals contain thought-starters to guide you through this recording process and invite you to document you and your family's lives.

This is a book of definitions, which are used in Craking the GRE Biology Subject Test, which is another book sold separately! May as well just start reading the glossary to Introductory Biology text books.

The book would be good if it was meant to be used on its own. But seeing it is sold with a data disk and the simulation requires the data disk. Maybe it would be wise to include a data disk that worked. Had I known this I would never have spent the money I did on the book.

Caution, I thought I was getting a 62 page book, but got a short review instead. Don't make the same disappointing mistake. The review is not worth six dollars in my opinion. The CD practice exams are filled with questions that are overly short and consequently don't provide proper context for answers which are often incorrect. The "randomizer" makes it worse. My favorite was a question with the following first two answers of which B was correct: Answer A: blah blah, Answer B: both A & B. Others include:
"You are looking at your policies, procedures, trainingn program, etc. You are conducting a:
A: policy assessment
B: risk assessment
C: compliance audit
D: gap analysis"
The exam says B is the correct answer when this is clearly a gap analysis. It wouldn't be bad, but there are tens of such examples.

Cheap overview with no real hints of what to do when visitng these tracks. Merely a compilation of press releases and graphics.

I wish the write up on this book would state where this particular "Home for the Friendless" was. Is this the one in Richmond, Indiana?

An excellent basic handbook for the beginner of any race, with pittures
oriented toward the book's title.

In this book you will find a review of software and office equipment. If this is what you are looking for, great. It's not what I was expecting. I have all the software I need, I just need time management and to stay focused. I didn't find it in this book.
