100 Years Of Vintage Farm Tractors is an anthology of truly engaging and nostalgic stories dedicated to the tractor farming of yesteryear. Included are pieces by Justin Isherwood (horse vs. tractor farming), Bill Holm (our faith in machinery); Hamlin Garland (threshing days), Patricia Penton Leimbach (a farmwife's view of tractors), Loren Paine (tractors as "man things"), Jerry Apps (homemade tractors), and Orlan Skare (the agony and the ecstasy of tractor seats), William Upson Hazlett ("Super Salesman Alexander Botts and the Earthworm Tractor). Enthusiastically recommended for tractor fans, farm equipment enthusiasts, and students of American agricultural history, 100 Years Of Vintage Farm Tractors is illustrated throughout its 160 pages by one hundred color photographs of vintage tractors, plus black and white period photos.

This is a very funny play by Shakespeare. It's very complicated, but the plot is sound. In the play, a shipwrecked woman pretends to be a man and falls in love with the Duke, for whom she is working. Her name is Viola. The Duke is madly in love with Count Olivia. He sends Viola to try to woo her in his name. Instead, Olivia falls in love with Viola, thinking she is a man. The plot thickens when Sebastion, Viola's twin brother, steps in. It is hilarious and has a fantastic ending, not to mention the Clown and other minor characters.

This is one of my favorite books. Lambert uses first person interviews and historical research to craft a beautifully written portrait of the last gasp of the debutante system in Britain before WWII. The details make you feel like you were there and the biographies of the "girls" who took part are fascinating. A bit on the Kennedy girls too, who were in England with their father Ambassador Joe Kennedy, if you are interested. Photos are great, I just wish there were more of them since the author frequently talks about the scrapbooks she was given to look at during her research.

The authors say their book is simply a chronicle of 1968. But chronicles are rarely written with such deft dramatic irony, nor are they usually so ebullient or scattered with jokes. Tariq Ali and Susan Watkins have done something which is a challenge to any historian: they have made utopian rebellion intelligible. The international span makes this book a unique record: Mexico, Brazil, Pakistan, Palestine, Poland as well as women's liberation and Paris, Prague and Vietnam. The utopian ideas of 1968---that knowledge should be accessible, work democratised and time claimed for living and loving, not just for making money--are even more relevant 30 years on.

This book has a broad range of floor plans which can accomodate any homebuilder,who is building on a budget. The plans are up to date with contemporary designs that are open and clean cut. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who is going to choose a new home to build.

It gives you target starting points.
It stands up in court.
However, I can buy all construction items and services for less than indicated in the book; and it does not matter what city that I am working in.

This is a great book - I love it! When I want to whip up a quick bar or square I always look in this book first. I love the applesauce squares that make a big 13 x 9 pan full of goodness! I really am a fan of all of Esther Brody's cookbooks - easy to follow chapters, good index, very tasty recipes that use "normal" ingredients. Love it - buy it!

I highly recommend this book (along with its predecessor "100 Winning Tips ..") for intermediate players who want to do well playing duplicate bridge. The bite-sized and extremely applicable tips are guaranteed to take your game to the next level. Mr. Klinger talks about duplicate strategies for bidding, declarer play as well as defense. For example the correct strategy for play of the hand depends on whether you think you are in the ideal but hard to find contract (play it safe) or an inferior contract (go all out for the overtrick to make up).

Great selection of recipes. I am an avid cookie baker and this is an excellent cookbook. Truly a great variety of cookies, and every recipe I have tried disappears from the cookie jar quickly.
