In His Steps Today is a challenging, thought provoking book. It is based on Charles Sheldon's book, In His Steps, about a
minister who challenges his congregation to consider approaching every decision with the thought, "What would Jesus Do?"
This book is written in a more modern setting and involves people who are doctors, car salesmen, computor programmers, and
housewives. They are people we can relate to, in businesses that we deal with today. It makes you think about what you
would do and how much of a stand you are willing to take for Jesus in all situations. The book has some very interesting
stories. I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in living for Jesus.

The authors of this book have taken a complex and sophosticated subject area and broken it down into a user friendly definitive
guide which has to be a must for any under graduate on a law degree or any student desperately trying to understand the finer
points and complexities of evidence.
The critique of recent law commission reports is invaluable as it goes to identify the key points and expalins them in english, a must for any struggling student. I wish this book had been available when I had studied the LLB but will swear by it during the BVC.
Highly recommended.

Book Synopsis: I Marched with Hannibal
A young slave boy gets to ride an elephant for Hannibals army, as Hannibal attacks the Romans, and wins unpresidented victories against them. The book focuses on Hannibals amazing career, including the legendary treck, he and his armies made over the italian alps, as they forged a road through rock, and ice with over 10 elephants. Is a great book, and a fun read.

Authors' Biography:
NOTE: THERE ARE 2 GERMAN AUTHORS NAMED HANS BAUMANN, the one who wrote historical fiction passed only wrote until 1970. Anything after this date is probably made by Hans Baumann the author who wrote colorful childrens books (in the same catagory as golden books), so be careful what you buy.
That said, there are about 8 to 9, books written by Hans Baumann, a German Historian and historical fiction writer for children (though his books are entertaining no matter what you age). His books are engrossing and enthralling, even though they have been translated into english from german.
Hans Baumann was a German Soldeir in WWII, and fought as a regular in Hilter's army. He was captured pretty early on in the war (germans often gave themselves up since allied prison camps were rumored as a fairly good place to stay), and spent the remainder of the war reading different historical novels. After the war he was released and began writing Historical Fiction novels. (Note: this biography is from memory, so I can't verify its total accuracy).
One of the things that really impressed me about Baumann, is that instead of creating a fictional main character for the plot (such as the adept young man, in all of the 100plus G.A. Henty novels, [Don't get me wrong I love Henty too]), Baumann uses a person who was actually there as the main character. But, he did write in enough of a fictional way that he would create conversions, and personalities, that while they might be inferred about the charector by historians, most likely never actually occured, (thus, the reason why his books are historical fiction, as opposed to pure history).

I guess I am biased I have had this book in my care since I was a young child. Once I started having children of my own I
found it still in great condition. My son who was 1 at the time he carried it around with him where ever he went. Of course
after all that it started to fall apart. I have been looking for one for about 2 years now so I can put it away and keep it
for them when they get older. I love the great story line. It gives kids a sense of being out on the water. The pictures jump
right out at you. The author is very talented when it comes to children's books. I would recommend it to any one young or
old.

I was compelled to read this book, when I saw the cover of the book at the dispense of a close friend. Besides the wonderful
artistry of the layout, the book's characters and the craftmanship of the author's words must not go unnoticed. The author
juxtaposes literary refrences alongside music, to make the scenes more vivid to the reader's mind. Also, it shows the life
of the urbanized man, and his strong holds. A must read, the male version of the Coldest Winter Ever!!!

You cannot just breeze through this book; Dr. Corbaley 's insight into what our Lord values most is easily practical in application,
intensely honest in delivery, and must be chewed & digested one morsel at a time.
Practicing what he preaches, Dr. Corbaley speaks the truth in love, leading the reader gently into realizing the benefits of loving others as God loves them.
We have a problem, you see: there are too many definitions of "love."
What is God's definition & how do we "do it?"
Dr. Corbaley will show, with love & wit & integrity, how that kind of love looks in many and varied circumstances.
And you won't have to take his word for it; clear Scripture references show the "plain sense" of the Bible to be as "living and active as any two-edged sword."
This book has less fluff and more meat than most of the Christian books I've read, and is similar in practicality to much of C. S. Lewis' stuff.
Are you tired of wondering "if it's all really true?"
Are you tired of wondering if "this is all there is?"
Are you tired of trying so hard, only to fail again?
This book costs so little for so much "oomph" that you can't go wrong.
Buy it.
Read it, slowly.
Mark it up with highlighter & scribbled notes.
Let it sink in, & read it again.
I am on my second time through, and I look forward to many more adventures in "The Most Excellent Way."

Rave review of a book about a great generation

A great storyteller who knows his subject matter, Jackson's writing debut is a tribute to his high school classmates of 1947.
For those looking for a nice gift for the Generation that grew up during the Great Depression and saw the effect of war too
early in life, this book is a hit. His conversational style of writing draws his reader into the days of children running
free and doors being unlocked. Very enjoyable!
