i can't believe no one else has reviewed this gem, this classic bit of musical humor.

hoffnung preceded pdq bach, is funnier, and lacks the patronizing attitude pdq bach developed.

anyone who has ever watched a conductor in action will end up in tears of laughter after reading these cartoons. they are brilliant, masterful, endearing, affectionate and very very very funny.

Amazon has not provided any information about this book, so I am going to list some that I found on a card dated October 17, 1929 inserted into the copy I have. Hopefully it will give you some clues about the book if you are considering reading it:

I bought this as a gift for somebody who do not speak English and that wants to learn about oil painting... the gift turned out to be pretty well welcome and its highly treasured as it seems that provides great guidance.
The book arrived in the tight timing and perfect condition as well.

A los lectores del mundo que les gusta leer la literatura de Ana Maria Matute, les quiero recomendar el libro de Obra Escogida escrito por la misma autora. yo lei el libro cuando estaba en la escuela preparatoria en Chicago y despues de que sali de la escuela decidi comprar el libro. Aunque esta es la 5ta vez que lo leo, cada vez que lo leo algo nuevo me ensena este libro. Yo como estudiante universitaria, les quiero recomndar este libro ya que uno realmente tiene un mensaje para cada persona que lo lee.

I haven't read such beautiful poetry in a very, very long time. David Parker is truly an amazing poet. If you are looking for romantic poetry this is the book you need to read. The poems gave me goosebumps and that's not very easy to do. They will make anyone fall in love. I recommend this book to everyone. My favorite poem from the book is called "Her Ocean" Ladies you will definitely love it.

Slater has produced a master piece full of passion and tension, arousing as well. It is not a piece to miss.
