I liked the first volume in this spicy trilogy alot, but loved the sequel. The same heroine returns with a new cast of willing victims for her erotic attentions.

Mining and lumberjack boom town in the 1880's, where a new minister brings a fight for men's souls against saloons and drug pushers. Schemes, fights, and double-crosses abound in the back-and-forth battle, played out in the lives of several well developed larger-than-life characters. The Gospel has never been so loud, confrontational (on personal level), suspicious of religion, and altogether outrageous. Much humor and battle generalship involved.

I do not recommend Thornton Burgess' animal stories as baby level. Chapter books are not appropriate for babies. This book is appropriate for children ages 5 to 8. His books are full of wonderful stories which incoporate natural animal behavioural concepts which are impossible for infants to understand.

Even though Quanah Parker was on a heroic quest to save his people from becoming extinct. Quanah Parker had another mission that wasn't fulfilled, and that was finding his mother and sister after they were kidnapped by the Texan. Years, Quanah Parker spent to find his parted family. He never gave up on them. He was the kind of guy who had extrodinary qualities as a leader of his people and he felt that it was his duty to return his mother and sister to the people that they belonged to.

A rundown of the most romantic highwaymen of the English past -- when those who broke the law were as celebrated as those who upheld it -- and how they were taken to the Tyburn Tree. The good bad guys (did we think it was an American invention?)in action and finished at last.

This book will be a classic among Ken Follett's "Pillars of the Earth" and Edith Pargeter's "Heaven Tree" trilogy!

Deals with Robert Browning not simply as a poet, but rather as the exponent of a system of ideas on moral and religious subjects, which may fairly be called a philosophy.

All of Don Coldsmith's books are a great read. The Spanish Bit Saga is very, very interesting. Great stories about several generations of The People. If one enjoys stories about the Plains Indians, these are great books, fun and a quick read.

Will the siege of Boston finally come to an end? It just might if Henry Knox and General Washington's plan works out. But, to make this plan work Daniel heads west to Fort Ticonderoga to help move the artillery back to Boston. Can they make this happen before they are found out?

The author takes you back in time to live the history being made by the young people of the American Colonies. You will feel their hardships and still want to know what is going to happen next.

I highly recommend this series to all!

Cap'n Warren's Wards is the first book by Joseph C. Lincoln that moves off the fictional towns of Cape Cod (in this case South Denboro) and into the big city hustle of Manhattan. Elijah Warren finds himself the guardian of his brother's children who are rapidly reaching adulthood but haven't had to face the harsh realities of self responsibility due to their father's wealth. Unfortunately now there are a few snags with A. Rodgers Warren's estate and Cap'n Warren decides its best to toughen his wards up and maybe teach them some humility in the process.
