First, the title must just be for eye-catching purposes, because no matter how you value his portfolio, he made nowhere close to a 20,000% return on his initial investment. And be forwarned, when he says its a story '... from Wall Street to Real Estate...' he means it. 40 pages of this 124 page book are about his stockbroking career. Having said that, it is a great book about what to look for, even though he himself even says it will probably be next to impossible to find these type of returns in todays market, and how he did it.

This is a motivating book about how a Wall Street lover moved to become a real estate guru. This is not a bad read and should be in anyone's library. Please note one key component is his capital, he had something to start with. If you have nothing to start with, you might want to look at asset buildling slowly or partnering up.

The book was descent, far from the best book I've read on the subject of real estate investing. However, the author does an excellent job in sharing the tactics that he used to purchase commercial property by using as much
leverage as possible, with a partner. I highly recommend this book and "2 Years to a Million in Real Estate
by Matthew A. Martinez. A MUCH better read and contains allot more information on the same type of concepts

I read this book a few times and have used the principles outlined to do a couple of deals myself. Similar to the author I used the equity in my house to purchase 2 apartment buildings and now have more equity in those two buildings than I can believe. This is the book that pushed me to do it and I would highly recommend reading it!

I was on the fence about using a credit line to invest in the stock market or real estate, boy am I happy I read this book. It was just what I needed at the right time and helped me realize the importance of cash flow, leverage and principal pay down.

If you are serious about real estate then read this book.

This book is a really great read. I read this book in about 2 hours in one sitting. I simply could not put it down. I really related to the stories that Kevin shared about working on Wall Street.

The section on real estate was really incredible! Kevin and his partner managed to amass an incredible amount of positive cash flow property in a very short period of time with very little initial cash. As an active real estate investor, I can tell you that the hardest part in becoming a real estate investor is starting out and finding the money and the deals. Finding the deals is harder than finding the money. Kevin walks you through the detailed process of how he finds positive cash flow buildings and then proceeds to make them even more positive by boosting rents and maintaining the properties and the types of tenants. This information is very valuable for beginning real estate investors. Kevin shows you how to "think out of the box" and find deals even when everyone else thinks that they are not out there.

Kevin managed to find deals with 14% cap rates when most realtors were telling us that 7% was the norm. Read this book for insights on how to become a better real estate investor.

A great read - highly recommended!

I bought the book for my four-year old son and we both thought it was great! I am really surprised by the disappointed post above. This book is the only book I am aware of that even mentions the New York Stock Exchange or tries to explain what it is. In fact, this book was my son's first introduction to the financial markets. For $15, I got a fun, informative introduction to a major New York institution, written from the perspective of a mom that works there! Frankly, I think it's more than a 'quality product' -- it's impressive!

I thought this book was a nice way to explain some of the terms that are used in Finance to help kids understand Wall Street and the Stock market. I would highly reccommend it.

Two thumbs way up for this educational children's book!!!! This is a great book from beginning to end. The reader is taken on an action-packed tour of the floor of the New York Stock Exchange through young Harry and Stephanie's eyes, from the opening bell to the closing bell. Harry and Stephanie ring the opening bell, meet Wally the trader, visit the specialists' trading post, and learn about the Dow Jones Industrial Average, stocks, and other basic financial concepts as well! First time author Jennifer Gross triumphs. Kids of all ages will love this educational and fun book!

Adorable! My little one seems to enjoy the book! I have already read it to her 4 times. It's a cute introduction to Wall Street. I want my child to learn about financial matters early so this book was exactly what I have been looking for.

The idea is fine, but the execution is quite flawed. The text and illustrations are sorely in need of a professional makeover. For $15, the buyer has a right to expect a quality product, not a book that at best could be enjoyed by friends and family. The name of the publisher should have given me a clue, but I missed it. Just a word of "buyer beware."

When I first started reading it I found Patton's style of writing a bit abrupt. Before long though I found myself adjusting to the writing style and really enjoying the story. He moves the story along quite well, but also manages to stop and think about things Being a teen-ager in the 80's I found this book to be a good reflector of that time period and very interesting. You get a good blend of the peoples stories and the financial attitudes of that time. I found it entertaining and interesting!
