This book is a must read!! If you know anyone that has credit or financial issues, teenagers about to graduate from HS and college age kids-this would be a great gift for any occasion. Kids need to be informed now before they go out and start opening credit accounts they will later regret. They need to be educated on how to establish and maintain a great credit rating. Parents can use this as a guide. Buy it and read it for yourself. I am happy I have this book and look forward to sharing it and all that I have learned from it.

I've read many books on credit and this is one of the better ones. I like the fact that you can read what applies to you if you choose. You don't have to read the entire book from front to back but i'd recommend it for complete understanding.
It's very easy to follow, up-to-date, comprehensive. Highlights- a great chapter on credit scoring and improving your score; a good section on finding a good credit counselor; establishing and re-establishing credit, negotiating with collectors and I liked the tests after each chapter. The only thing I would have like more of is some negotiating tips but overall it's good.
I'd recommend Liz Weston's Your Credit Score as well.

I read this book and was amazed by the amount of information it gave. This author hits every area of credit that people need help with. Everything from credit scores to id theft is covered here and in great detail. It even gives little quizes at the end of each chapter to help you retain the info. The best part is that the chapters are so well segmented that you can just flip to the area you need help with and go from there.
This book by far is the best credit guide out there today. The ones I've read in the past just touch on certain things here and there, but this author really gives you what you need. I'm buying copies for each of my college children. It is highly recommended!

Whether you are a seasoned Board veteran or looking for your first seat on a Corporate Board, this book is full of insightful information. I found it to be a great executive read - full of practical hands-on information and experiential antidotes from CEO's and Directors from America's most respected corporations. Recently, the dangers of the "good old boy" corporate board have made top headlines and contributed to the downfall of major Fortune 100 corporations. "Into the Boardroom" is packed with inside tips and sound advice that serves as a blueprint to guide the new generation of corporate boards to a higher level of success.

Into the Boardroom is a quick, easy read with lots of practical advice. For example, my charitable contributions were always random and small, but the advice of picking one organization and making a difference is great. I will also study their annual reports to check out the board members before I send the check. I borrowed this book from a friend and found it so empowering that I ordered my own copy...There are so many good ideas in the book I know I'll re-read it many times.

I read a lot of business-marketing books. It's hard to believe that this book was written in 1901. The examples are motivating, although dated. A fast read at 49 pages. It reads like a slightly older version of ThHINK AND GROW RICH. I'm assuming that AN IRON WILL inspired and provided the framework for the Napoleon Hill book. Solid examples. I ordered several copies as gifts. This isn't the kind of book you read. It's the kind of book you study.

As quoted by Marden from this book. This book is all about harnessing the power of your self will to work for you instead of against you. Having a strong sense of will is meaningless if it is misdirected. This work delineates the steps one needs to take to create discipline and willpower to achieve one's goals. It is an absolute must read for anyone who wants to achieve the pinnacle of success in their personal and professional lives.

Island of Excellence is an insightful book that explains corporate culture in a truly insightful way. Mark Bodnarczuk breaks the mold of corporate literature with this unique novel. While Island of Excellence succinctly explains corporate culture and ways to tap into its creative power, it also speaks to the individual. It has helped me greatly in my personal, as well as professional life. The lessons I've learned have helped me form a new understanding about my relationships at work along with a better understanding of how I fit into the culture of my workplace. Island Of Excellence: 3 Powerful Strategies For Building Creative Organizations is a must read for any business executive or manager looking to gain a competitive edge to drive their organization to higher levels of performance. The author, Mark Bodnarczuk, combines the solitude of scuba diving the spectacular reefs of Papua New Guinea to explore the corporate and personal lives of nine characters attending a life altering dive workshop. This "Teaching Novel" has provided me insight on how to set free the creative thinking within our organization and allow individuals to find meaning and significance in their work. An eye-opening book that I highly recommend!

Using Fictional Characters relating to Jungian and Enneagram models, Mark Bodnarczuk, takes the reader on a journey exploring the inner self. In a unique approach to the "Corporate Book" Mark invites the reader to identify with one of the characters and discover their own internal conflicts that prevent them from fully experiencing their potential for excellence and success. Mark's book takes us a step beyond just identifying leadership traits and obstacles, to recognizing, understanding, and overcoming those obstacles to unleash our full potential. I am on my third read of Mark's book and discover new insights each time. His principles have helped me achieve greater success not only as a CEO, but also in my personal life.

This book was one of the best books I've read in recent memory. The writer, Mark Bodnarczuk, uniquely used fictional characters to make a very complex subject enjoyable to read and easy to retain. His insights into how personalities affect work performance and teamwork were especially helpful. I've applied his principles in my organization and found them to improve teammwork, employee morale and organizational productivity. I would recommend this book to anyone who desires an understanding of human personalities, how people's personalities impact teamwork and how understanding personalities improves business performance.

I haven't finished the book "It's Not Brain Surgery!" yet, but the part of the book I have read is absolutely fantastic! Kimberly Alyn tells it like I feel! If everyone in America could read this book, we would have a much better behaved society. I think what's missing in this world today is common sense and good old fashioned courtesy. I have lots of highlights in the book and share them with others when I get a chance. I have recommended this book to my friends and definitely think it's worth the money and more! Dianne Parsons

This is another information-packed book from Kim Alyn written in plain English so anyone can read and comprehend. I wish I had this when I was twenty years old. Kim is straight to the point, as usual. She covers thirteen topics in thirteen chapters and they are easy (or uneasy) reading, depending on how you view the information as it relates to you. The reading will make you think about your position in life and there are suggestions on how to change things about your life. She will undoubtedly hit home on at least a couple of areas and, if it does, then you have found an area that needs attention.
This book does not teach you how to be a success, but it lets you know where, on the success scale, you are and offers alternatives for how to achieve your personal success story. You'll find no 'fluff' here, only straight, honest information. As Kim says, "Suck it up" and get it a copy.
Good book, great information. This should be required reading for everyone.

As I began reading this book I found I couldn't put it down. I wish everyone would take the time to read this book, it would give each of us a greater understanding of the issues we face in our daily lives and how to overcome them. Kimberly provides her thoughts on how "we" as a society need to take responsibility for our actions and to quit blaming everyone else for our problems. The days of making excuses for our lack of personal achievement must come to an end if we are to prosper personally and professionally. Unless we begin to recognize that each of us has tremendous capacity to make a difference in everything we do, we will not fulfill our destiny.

This book was loaned to me and it was not what I expected. It was down to earth reading and I read the book in one sitting. The points brought out by the author were useful. I will be using this book as a resource to help others prepare for their interviews. What I liked most about the book was the way the author chose to write it. I felt comfortable as if I were speaking with a friend. The writing style is easy to read. I wish this was offered in audio format. When I returned the book I borrowed, I decided to purhase the book for myself. I like the humor and directness. I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking for employment. It gives a realistic view of what different people might be confronted with when seeking employment.

There are some books you have for show, some to use as a paperweight.........However, this book is a must read! I found it easy to read and understand. This was a very entertaining book for a so called reference book. I am a co-op teacher at my high school and I make sure every student reads it before I send them out on an interview. it makes them better prepared and allows them to anticipate what might be asked. The better prepared and well balnced student I send out, the more students I can get placed in jobs. Thumbs up! So, it's been a win win situation for me.
A must buy for any job seeker!

I learned more in this book about interviewing and resume writing than I did in 4 years of high school or the thousands of dollars I paid for in college. I can clearly say, I was amazed at some of the ways hiring managers or HR people interview and what they look for in a resume or a job candidate.
This book is a great source of information and I can say that my recent job was based on some of the techniques I learned and applied from this book. The thing I also liked about it. It has sections for notes and was handy enough to carry to all my interviews as a quick reference.

Although it has been common since the time of T. S. Eliot's groundbreaking essay, "Johnson, the Poet," for critics to praise "The Vanity of Human Wishes," this is first time a whole volume has been devoted to Johnson's poetry. Prof. Venturo is splendidly equiped for the task. His thorough understanding of Johnson's work and career, his wide-ranging knowledge of Renaissance, Augustan, and Roman poetry, and his rare grasp of the technical aspects of prosody and poetics, make him uniquely able to give us a broad, inclusive, and definitive treatment of Johnson's verse. On the use of Classical imitation in "London" and "The Vanity" he has offered important clarifications. On J's occasional verse he has always enlightened the reader. But of all the many virtues of this book, the most outstanding is Venturo's acute and learned explication of the Latin poems. That chapter alone would have made this fine book an invaluable contribution to our understanding of a great author. Venturo has produced a volume likely to become the standard by which we judge future studies of Johnson poetry.

This is one of the most fascinating books I have ever read about English poetry. It will delight all readers of Samuel Johnson's poetry and bring new readers to the poems as well.

This book should have been included in Oprah's book club. This book I would consider food for the spirit. It's whimsical, yet profound as stated. Thank you Mary E. Marlow. I bought extras after reading and given to friends and my a couple of my doctors.

I love books, but I tend to not read them as much as I like. I get started on one, put it down, start another, and then i forget all about them. This is one book that I couldn't put down. We all have moments, when we feel like we have no hope, or that we can't amount to anything. This is the perfect book to get you motivated and realize that we all can make great and lasting marks on this world. This is about a mouse who has encounters with different animals and learns self lessons with ea. encounter. Jumping Mouse is a must read for the soul. You will not regret it and I am sure that you will get something out of it. =0)

I read the Q&A section of this book, and the very next day I was hired for the highest paying position I ever had! It doesn't give you answers, but instead it shows you what employers are looking for

Bravo !!! This book got me a job almost right away. The book clearly cut the crab out and points out directly to the important objectives. The book will also prepared you to all questions that are crucial to be hire. Everyone who seeks a job need to read this book, if you want to be hired. Study the book carefully and most important, excersize and try to imagine what questions that are most likely going to be ask. My personal opinion; it is YOU who is in control in the interview instead of the other person.
Great resource book for those looking for a JOB

After using this book as a reference and recomending it to many others; I now have the need to use it while looking for a new position. After rereading it for the 4th time I again found new and useful information that I should be aware of during the job hunting/interviewing process. If anyone is currently looking for a job, or is tentative in their job - get this book today. It is easy to read and give a great many down to earth tips.
If I could give this book a higher rating I would! It should be gold plated.

If I could give this book a higher rating I would! The best job guide that I have ever read.I purchased Knock `Em Dead 1992 by chance. Desperate for a guide that was actually going to help. This is, without a doubt the best book I have ever purchased. This book is responsible for the success of myself and my friends. We fondly refer to it as "The Red Book" (as the issue I purchased had a red cover). I can honestly say that this book is the catalyst for the process that has given me the vast majority of my current salary. It guided me through the entire job seeking process and made the task a simple one. After reading this book the job interviews I attended were simple. At first I thought that the interviewers had read the book because they kept asking me questions from the book (word for word) and, because I had read this book I had the model answer for all of them. Nothing could trip me up. After a few interviews it became very clear that the interviewers had not read this book but the book had essentially "read the interviewers" and supplied the basis for answers to all questions. It would be unfair to mention just the interview section of the book as it provides a full guide from the beginning of the process (leaving) to the end (signing the gold plated contract). I would not like to think about where I would be in my career now if I had not found this book. I am sure that I would be better off than I was at the time of purchase but nowhere near the level that I now enjoy. Martin Yate is a genius, I doubt there has ever been nor will be a book that could outshine this work of art. I have ordered the latest copy of this book and eagerly await its arrival. If you know what's good for you - BUY THIS BOOK NOW
