This is simply a hilarious audio casette. You will laugh so loud that you will disturb the neighbors. I have listened to it five times. And each time, it becomes funnier and funnier. If you are hypersensitive, I wouldn't buy this cassette. The authors really lampoon so many of our favorite icons. Order this audio casette and have the time of your life!

This book is one of those books that only comes along once in a while. Why doesn't anyone write parodies any more? Who doesn't like a good parody? This book is great. Windows for dumbells, Having our lay, Mars and Venus in the bathroom... and all around the house, The farm, Iron Tom, Jurrasic Pork, "S" is for supercalifragilisticexpealodoious and The "you're Hot, baby" zone are just some of the gut busting parodies in this book. and who can forget the parody that is the title of the book: 7 habits of highly defective people, which is the 18 page classic right in the middle of the book. I recommend this book to everyone. I bought it for 7 bucks when it came out. Buy it for one dollar now. What's a buck to you? 117 pages of pure parody, what more could you ask for?

I am a professional VB developer who is making the leap to web programming. This book offered straight forward information. My web pages included VBScript and ActiveX controls within an hour!

The book doesn't teach you how to write Active X controls, but it does teach you how to use them and where to find existing controls on the web. Also contains brief introduction to VBScript and brief HTML reference. CD-ROM contains sample scripts which use the controls references in the book, plus free shareware versions of HomeSite. I bought this book yesterday at another bookstore and paid full price. My only regret is I didn't buy it at Amazon.

Kids will love this book. It is packed with fun and mysterious adventures. The chapters are short so kids can easliy read a chapter a night before bed, if they can put it down after only one chapter, that is. I highly recommend it!

I just finished reading this volume and I am totally hooked. I cannot wait till I get the next volume, which will be in January. After School Nightmare is an excellent title and I would always rate it 5+, no doubt about that and we have go! comi to thank for bringing such excellent titles to the U.S.
In this volume, Mashiro is still struggling with his sexuality and feelings but you will get to see him getting intimate with Kureha. I do feel bad for Sou but I truly believe that he is the one Mashiro really wants and not Kureha. I am not sure what will happen in the next volume but I hope things will heat up between Sou and Mashiro.

This book was described to me as "like Sherman Alexie, but instead of the Indians, he's writing about punks." And I have to admit: the description is pretty darn spot-on.

Bucky Sinister shines a flickering spotlight on his time among the gutter punks, nodding junkies and heartbroken drunks of SF, LA, Minneapolis and beyond. The result is a work which is stunningly honest and surprisingly tender.

In Sinister's world, mosh pits, donut shops and busted Oakland houses all pulse with the same human urgency. The friends, strangers and musicians who populate this world are not tragic victims or strung out caricatures, but are as real & dumb & hopeful & hopeless as anyone else.

I particularly love the book's surrealistic elements -- Abe Lincoln fronting a punk band, a unpopular toy robot turkey from Japan "Who Needs Lots of Hugs / And Whose Feathers Are Made From / Jagged Bits of Metal" -- and the smart balance Sinister's innate humor gives the book.

Sinister is a well-known performer in a number of circles -- poetry, comedy, etc... -- a fact that makes me appreciate even more how strongly this poetry works on the page. It's just a wonderful collection.

If you are over 30 and still in the punk rock scene you are treated like an old man or woman. Bucky Sinister gets this and gives a voice to it.

I love punk rock and always have, but I have also gone through the same love/hate relationship with the subculture that I love dearly.

Bucky Sinister speaks of his struggle with alcoholism with a relevance even to those who have never struggled with addiction. He is a new everyman poet. You will see your life in his words.

My boys love this book. We have had it for years, and it is still one that is picked often for story time. What I love most, as a mother, is the educational value, and the interaction with the child. The 'turning of a wheel', is a kind of novelty that not all books have. They have real life pictures of the animals, in all stages of their development. Ducklings, Kittens, Frogs, Rabbits, Lambs, Puppys, Butterflies and Chicks, are represented. When you are looking at the wheel on each page, you read it as if the animal were speaking right to the child.
My boys and I would highly recommend this for any personal library, classroom, or for a gift.

My nearly 3-year-old daughter absolutely loves this book! She is a huge animal fan. The book is great for even younger children as well. We got the book when she was about 1 1/2 and it has held her interest all this time. My daughter likes to turn the wheel and read each caption under the pictures.

We checked this out from the library. Of course the music button no longer works, but my 3 yr old feels that he is "reading" it all by himself because he can tell from the pictures what "the little one" is doing and fill that in himself as he sings it. It is adorable and I was hoping to find us a permanent copy! (sigh)

People pick up this book and begin to sing along, no matter what their age. The book has illustrations that are colorful and fanciful -- ants roller skating and at school, ants dressed up and riding on insects. It has one of those electronic buttons to push, it is one of those books that the kids love to keep around them. Great for children to read along and sing along with their parents or for a child to enjoy by themselves, with the music as accompaniment. I have given many copies as gifts.

Mr. Gloer has presented a most excellent work in his biographical sketches of the 12 disciples of Jesus. "As You Go" is a more modern approach to Barkley's "The Master's Men". You will find it very engaging and easy to read. Each disciple is given some biographical history and context along with lessons learned from each life.

This is a must for every Sunday School teacher's library.

I really enjoyed reading this book. Even though, I "knew" the political and societal situations of Asian Americans in the United States, it still was an eye opener. This book gave me an oppertunity to understand some of my believes and how they were formed. I think it is a must read for everyone who is from Asian decent and who would like to understand the Asian American experiences. The author did a wonderful job of integrating all aspects of Asian culture. I highly recommend this book.

Once again Professor Espiritu has written a book that not only conveys the Asian American experience but more importantly the human experience. This book is for those of us who live the Asian American experience and for those willing to educate themselves about our country's racial heirarchy compounded by the disparity between genders.
