I would like to have a look at your book with full tutorials to eneble me do my final year school project. I am just but student. Please help because I am studying at one of an african university in africa.

Good job on the DVD. My wife took lessons for a few months 25 years ago and it was a great refresher for her.

When I purchased Acrobat 8 Pro I was offered a month tutorial online
training.
This CD is a complete version of the online training.
Brian Wood narrates and illustrates well. The flow of information
is very well organized.

If you make the investment in Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional you need
to make the investment in this excellent training and support CD.

Joey Lott is a solid instructor, and in this series takes you briskly but effectively through writing ActionScript 3.0 code in Adobe Flex. It's important to note that Joey is not teaching the mechanics of building an RIA with ActionScript, but more how ActionScript 3.0 works in general. Flex is a great tool for writing pure code and if you're not convinced it's the IDE for you this might just be the trick.

Joey is easy to understand and teaches principles effectively. Its hard to find many good introductory teachers but Joey does a fantastic job of giving you the basics of Object Orientated Languages before spilling into AS 3.

I'd highly recommend this to beginners looking to get their feet wet in AS 3, and for Flash designers looking for why Flex 3 is such a tremendous asset for AS 3 intensive projects.

I have to be honest and admit that I never saw this book. But I did see the CD that comes with it. It has 6 hours of instruction and for someone who knew nothing about After Effects, it really brought me up to speed.

I went to her website, www.lynda.com, and for $25 you can have access to all the tutorial training videos from this book. Not only that but you can see all the videos from all her other books. I've been spending days learning tons of stuff.

I don't know if I can tell someone to buy a $100 book. But her site is awesome.

With the just released AutoCAD 2006, Shih focuses on teaching the basics of two dimensional drawings. Much simpler than the three dimensional abilities of AutoCAD of course. But some students will need a solid grounding in two dimensions. The book furnishes this at length. Perhaps in some parts the exposition may seem a little slow, if you have had any prior experience, in any layout package, with the material. But keep in mind that Shih is writing for the total novice. Though if you are the latter, you will need some simple maths background [especially in trigonometry].

Is there anything McFarland has left out about AutoCad 2009? Apparently not, at least for the newbie. As the cover prominently says, no experience needed. The book comprehensively covers what the novice might want. Explaining in detailed steps such basics as setting up a drawing, laying out walls of a building, and the use of layers. The latter is significant. For layering lets you decompose your design process into manageable parts. If you have perhaps used Adobe's Photoshop and its layering, then the idea transfers over readily.

The chapters also end in suggestions for exercises, so that you can integrate each chapter's lessons into your understanding. The exercises are not that extensive, so you may have to push yourself into devising more problems if you feel the need.

I should add that the text applies AutoCad to the designing of a building. Other important usages include designing consumer products. But the book stays on topic with architecture.

By the way, for non-US readers, the examples in the book all use imperial measurements. But you can trivially change the Autocad settings to use metric.

I want to learn Mechanical Desktop 3.0 without any 3D background, and this book provides step by step instructions for creating 3D models. I learn many basic commands and able to follow the steps without any teacher. However, the weak point is that it doesn't explain the meaning behind the commands, and will have difficulty in understanding the commands for any future use. Some of the commands indicated in this book is already changed in Mechancial Desktop 3.0 version.

Very praactical to the point. Would like a bit more info about how to repair or upgrade your bass yourself. The book suggests getting original wiring charts to make sure a previous owner didn't make a mistake. No links on how to obtain this charts for a vintage fender 1970's bass.
Anyone out there have any knowledge of how to obain a set of original specs for a fender???
