This book is helpful for anyone that wants to master the complicated world of 3d Stidio VIZ. After going thru Autodesk's tutorials and not learning much, I turned to this book, and I am greatful. Now I have a much better understanding of "Viz", this is a must read book.

IT EXPLAINS ALL THE TOPICS WONDERFULLY ESPECIALLY WITH THE BEGINNER IN MIND

This teaching package is geared towards children from Grades 1 to 5, and includes three math tutorials on DVD, an audio CD and a practice workbook filled with exercises aimed at developing math skills.

Pros:

1. The lessons are easy to follow, with clear explanations.
2. The course covers a wide range of basic mathematical concepts in a format that can be easily be replayed as necessary
3. The workbook is perfect for practicing and honing math skills
4. It provides a guide for parents and teachers to help children who have trouble remembering mathematical concepts
5. It combines easy material with more complicated problems to provide challenges and encourage children to think
6. One product covers five years of mathematical tutoring

Cons:

1. The course simulates a classroom teaching session, and some kids may not appreciate being "in school" after school is out.
2. The DVD lessons are shown on a screen using a multi-media projector and a computer. This creates shadows as well as a large spot of reflected light in the middle.
3. The teaching methods differ from those taught in my son's school and this new approach was a bit confusing for him
4. The audio CD contains recordings of a group of children repeating multiplication tables as well as addition and subtraction equations, but the audio is not very clear, and will not hold the attention for long, as it is rather monotonous

In summary, this course will be very useful for children from grades 3 to 5, providing opportunities for revising the basics as well as teaching grade specific material. The lack of video and audio stimuli make it unlikely that younger children will appreciate the format, but parents and teachers can certainly adapt the material to make it more child-friendly.

Great book for teachers. Considers the psychology of students with developing understanding of maths.

THIS BOOK REALY HEPLED ME LEARN A GERAT DEAL ABOUT COMPUTERS AND I JUST WANTED TO SAY THANKS. IN THE WORKING WORLD ALL THAT IS USED IS MICROSOFT OFFICE AND I WOULD BE LOST IF IT WASNT FOR YOUR BOOK.

I am in the beginning state of the study on how to build an electro-optical imager for remote sensing purposes. So I feel need more related knowledges and practical experiences about this field activity. However, I found almost all know how I expected from this book. Tks.

...This book gives an excellent view of the concept of ANN but covers them in pure mathemetical way. You can learn so much about the equations used to describe ANNs but I would doubt that you can learn enough to make you able to utilize them. It is a good read, but needs more practical approach to it, but talking about such a topic is not a well-defined path, so I give it a 4-star rating

Are you new to DSLR?

This is a nice overview of the Nikon D300.

Are you waiting for you D300 to arrive (or your rich uncle to die and leave you with enough money to buy one...) Then buy this book and be ready to shoot when your camera arrives.

I just finished viewing the dvd and I'm very surprised at the "in-depth" information included. Even though you might need your camera's manual for a few things, this dvd tutorial covered EVERY aspect of using the D60. The instructor covered all the information needed for me to use any button on this camera and know what I'm doing. I especially like knowing that I can come back to the dvd any time I'm wanting a little refresher on what to do! The little laminated guide that came with this dvd really makes this a good deal! I would recommend this dvd to anyone that is not familiar with this camera.
