It would be pointless to talk about the contents of each book here as they are already described under their individual titles. What you get in the bundle is: lower price than when purchased individually, extra material on the CD, and a cardboard slipcase to keep them in.

The 2003 performance guide was probably one book that's worth the price of this entire package. Mark Friedman, the author of Windows 2000 Performance Guide, wrote this book for resource kit. That explained why he never published a follow-up of his famous 2000 performance book. The other books in the kit were also extremely helpful. This is THE set of reference book to get for authoritative Windows 2003 information. Also included is a disc with all the ebook versions of everything, including some bonus books not in the resource kit. So stop Googling for unreliable second hand information, and get your stingy boss to cough up the money for this must have tool.

As a recent fan of the O'Reilly Nutshell series, this one caught my eye as I prepared for my final MCSE test: Exchange. This book is really not for beginners, but is great for those who have some Exchange administration experience and want to learn more detail about the product, everything from the history and development to the "secret" command line utilities. As luck would have it, a few days after I bought the book I had to do a disaster recovery of my Exchange server. Tulloch's concise recovery procedures helped save the day!

As a fan of O'Reilly's "Windows NT in a Nutshell," I've been waiting for this book. Like the other Nutshell manuals, it encapsulates lots of hard-to-find information in one place. If you're looking for a step-by-step guide to implementing Exchange Server, however, you might want a different book (I strongly recommend Tony Redmond's text); this book is best suited for administrators who need a quick reference. However, anyone who wants to learn more about how Exchange Server operates will benefit from reading this book.

I really enjoyed reading this book, because it is similar in many ways to the book that we used. PowerPoint for Windows is a book that gives you systematic information. This book has the most recent version of PowerPoint and its current features.

Chapter 1: It introduces what PowerPoint exactly is and how it works. With PowerPoint, you can get creative with the slides, variety of formats, such as bulleted lists, numeric tables, and business and organization charts. For example, you can create your slides in any design you want by easily adding graphics to it. In addition, this chapter explains how to use:

After reading this book, I benefited a lot from it, understanding the extent of the mechanics in PowerPoint, such as: applying animation, using sound and video, taking your slide show on the road, printing your presentation and presenting it on the Internet.

This book is an excellent reference boook and guide book, but it is not a novel. No one will sit down and read it.
It is indexed well, so one can find out how to make a specific slide quickly. Although Microsoft offers help and instruction on line, I found this book the answer to using PowerPoint well.
With the elimination of good manuals from Microsoft -- I think DOS 6.0 was the last -- books of this type have become a requirement.

Just let the AutoContent Wizard guide structure and style from defining the purpose to developing the topic, researching the subject, analyzing the audience, supporting and outlining the points, using visual aids, and delivering the message. Let WordArt special effects rotate, shadow or 3-D text in a consistent design across slides. Let color impact with meaning. Let font sizes be readable: 24 point for titles, 18 point for subtitles, and 14 point for all else. Let titles and headings favor sans serif fonts: the little lines on Book Antigua, Bookman Old Style, Courier New and Garamond serif fonts work better in helping readers to track text. Let paragraphs left align, titles center, and white space set off text. Let body language and conversational speech back up presentation graphics and text. Once again Microsoft has come up with all the information you need in a beautifully organized reader-friendly format. This encyclopedic book consolidates but does leave space on the shelf for Rebecca Bridges Altman's POWERPOINT 2000/98, Brian Reilly's CREATE POWERPOINT PRESENTATIONS IN A WEEKEND, Patrice-Anne Rutledge's USING MICROSOFT POWERPOINT 2000, and Colotta Witherspoon's POWERPOINT 2000 FAST AND EASY.

This book is an excellent first step! With this book, not only will you be able to get Proxy Server up and running, but you will also understand what you did and why. I hope to see more "ON SITE" books in the future!

The material progressed in a logical order, and was very understandable. I have experience with Microsoft BackOffice products, but I learned Proxy Server via Kevin's ONSITE book, and was able to configure Web access through a cable modem for 125 client seats. I recommend this for anyone wanting to understand Proxy Server 2.0, and be able to apply the knowledge practically.

This book and CD set is an well-designed and effective study guide for the Implementing and Supporting Windows 95 MCP exam (70-63). I passed the test a comfortable 60 points over the passing grade after studying the guide thoroughly. I also learned a tremendous amount about Windows 95 internals, and the set will now serve as an excellent reference work. My only criticism is that it could use a few more multimedia files. They were very helpful in explaining abstract concepts such as memory and scheduling, and not all the topics that needed them had multimedia presentations

This is a great reference for anyone who supports Win '95 or plans to take the MCSE exam. It is basic enough for people new to '95, yet in depth enough for system admins and power users. I found it to be long in reading it cover-to-cover, but it is not meant to be read that way unless you plan to take the exam. It was my only reference for the exam, and I passed it easily on my first attempt. I hope the NT Self-Study Kit is as well written..

This book is so informative and easy to use that I have just ordered a copy for my 83 year old mother. The descriptive pictures on every page make the instructions very simple, even for a first time computer user. Having this manual has greatly increased my ability to maximize my computer benefits.

Excellent introduction to MS Windows 98... it contains everything that begginer-intermediate user wants to know about Win98...

When I bought my digital camcorder, I wanted to learn how to quickly get up to speed with Movie Maker so I could share my movies. This author really knows what he's talking about, and it made my life a whole lot easier. This is a "must buy" for anyone who wants to make their own movies in Windows!

I think this is a good book of learning how to use windows movie makers and I would know how to make movies on my laptop on windows movie makers.

The author of the book is Keith Underdahl and I think that is a cool book he wrote.

This is a really great book both for learning the basics and as a quick reference guide. I love that it's arranged alphabetically. Although it's divided into 2 parts (tools and techniques) it's still easier to look up topics without having to search through the index. The full color illustrations are clear and the numbered instructions are simple and easy to understand, very similar to "Top 100 Simplified Tips & Tricks". Anyone who liked that book will love this one as well.
