This book is DETAILED!!! Complete description of what types and designers can be found in hundreds of clothes stores in Southern California, and even includes maps. It names designers, each store's eccentricities, the changing rooms, name of the owner, whether they buy, etc. Some of the stores may be out of business by now, but it's still fascinating for the ones that are around. And it's cool to check out the scene from a few years ago. Highly recommended.

Having just returned from the UK, I found this book to be the most valuable asset that I took with me. It should be a must for anyone who is traveling independently to London. This was my third trip to London, and at this point I do not care if I ever return to that city. With these strong feelings of dislike, if it wasn't for the fact that I had this book along to tell me about those little side trips, the ten day stay in London would have been a real drudge. The timetables for the trains were off a little, but that can be easily ignored. The only thing that is a must to enjoy this book to its fullest is to have a BritRail Pass. Very thorough guide about a city loaded with things to do and see. I found this guide to be not only informative but also quite accurate-something one can appreciate when rediscovering their city. Excellent for first-time visitors as well. Highly recommended!

This book is full of useful tips, ticks, and just general information any consumer should know. Gives great advice on how to get the best bargains, and the best home-shopping methods.

I never could have fed my kids on the money we had without the information in this book. And then my husband lost his job. This book gave me the help and hope that I needed to continue to put food on the table.

Out of print but well worth finding used. A great look at the history of Rich's department store chain of Atlanta (and other southern cities). If you've ever ridden the Pink Pig, eaten at the Magnolia Room, or seen the lighting of the Great Tree, you will love this book. Folksy writing style with nostalgic black and white photos.

I found this directory to be very useful in starting my retail business. I rent retail space in malls as a temporary tenant for holidays throughout the year. I found this a very useful resource for locating malls I want to be in and finding the right person to contact. Also the list of tenants in the masll is very useful so that I will know ahead of time if there will be a conflict with my product line. All in all a good resource for someone in my line of work.
