Using Norm Cousins philosphy about humor aiding in healing, I bought this for my little 4th grade friend who has cancer. Her mom reports that she loves it! I was glad to find humor that was 'clean' for kids :)

This is a hilarious story of Paddinton, who decides to bake a cake while Mrs and Mr Brown are not at home. He makes a spectacular mess which he decides to clean up with the vacuum. Unfortunately he sucks up the cake and when he reverses the vacuum, spews it all over the kitchen. Luckily, he gets it all cleaned before Mr and Mrs brown return form town.

Pete Pig Cleans Up was a funny book to me. I thought the book was funny and good. I believe that any[one] would like to read this book.

The brief, free-verse poignantly speaks to affliction, fear, and the subtle majesty of a complex and ever-changing world. Picking Clean the Bones reads swiftly yet lingers long in the mind. Even though the Naturescope series is recommended for grade K-8 I feel as a high school science teacher that all the lessons in this book are adaptable for the older grades. The information and activities in this book are excellent. Any teacher in or out of science could use this book in their classroom. The lessons are very descriptive and well planned, as well as encourage the students with higher order questions and activities. I have and will continue to use this book in my classroom.

I really like this book. It's got great tabs and all the tune-down settings. It's one of my favorite albums of all time. If you like P.O.M., and wanna play the songs, I suggest buying this book.

The facts about stormwater do not paint a pretty picture. This book has captured these facts in words and pictures. For the homeowner, Bill moves you from better cleansers to better lawn care. He points out that perhaps 75% of lawns in the Upper Midwest need no phosphorous at all.

The entire book calls us to re-think many closely held assumptions about what constitutes responsible citizen behavior that results in better water quality. For example, Americans spend $25 billion dollars annually on lawn care, and apply ten times more pesticides than a similar-sized area of farmland. Bill evaluates gardens, automobiles, and even the family dog. When you are done with his book, you will realize how many things will need to change at the household level if you want to make a difference in water quality through personal action.

Only by rubbish removal and related efforts will water quality be assured. The solid-waste portion of this watery rubbish often contains material harmful both physically and biologically to the wildlife dependent upon these areas.

The real-world examples of how concerned citizens *can* prevail in social change struggles make Randy Shaw's latest activism book an inspiring read. Not only that, each chapter is an exciting tale of activist suspense and pathos. There's even humor when we read how some corporate executives are so egomaniacal that they manage to make perfect jackasses out of themselves in an attempt to deflect attention from their corruption and hypocrisy. The emerging field of Internet activism is also covered. Another great activism book from Randy Shaw!
