So Cool!Review Date: 2003-04-03
Each page's big color picture is accompanied by comments or information about the day's car, written by the editors of Car & Driver. Plus, it comes with an online version of the same calendar. What's not to love? Well, this is one of those calendars that feature the cheap 1-page-for-the-weekend deals, rather than allowing Saturday and Sunday to each have their own page. Which is kind of dumb. But, if you keep it at work, like I do, you won't even notice.
My advice would be to buy this calendar if you're just a fan of pretty much all cars and love seeing automotive art.

A Gem!Review Date: 2008-03-25
The chapters include: An Overview of Teen Driving Statistics and Research on Teen Drivers with AD/HD, Behavioral Characteristics and Coexisting Disorders, General Tips for Parenting Teens with Difficult Behaviors, 20 Steps for Parents to promote Safe Driving Behaviors in Teens with AD/HD, Handling Poor Driving Behaviors. The chapter on 20 steps for parents is awesome. Examples of other useful information include: A Driving Observation Form, A Learner's Permit Driving Contract, A Comprehensive Vehicle Safety Checklist, A Driving Skills Checklist, A Driver's License Contract. The book also addresses subjects such as reasonable parent expectations, drug and alcohol use, and characteristics associated with learning disabilities.
The information on medications is outdated. I suspect the medication information is why the book is no longer in print. Every seller who makes this book available is giving you and your ADD/ADHD teen a gift :)

very descriptive account Review Date: 2005-07-27
It is very descriptive, so you can imagine yourself there, and feel yourself feeling and seeing the very same things as the author. (There are some drawings also he drew in the book of things he saw around him)
Very interesting

The stories and poems sometimes reflect the portion of Albuquerque that many of us choose to ignore when driving down Central or any of the other major thoroughfares, but the book's underlying theme is optimism. From the prostitute scoring one last fix before heading to rehab who dreams of becoming an accountant to the hopeful country music writer working for a carnival, the characters that inhabit the back of Leonard's cab reflect a very human potential for change. One can tell that some are perhaps lost souls who will never reach their dreams (and perhaps no longer dream). Others we can cheer, and hope that success follows their efforts. Regardless, the poems and stories, which range from humorous to ominously dark, elicited a reaction from me. They made me think and feel, and that is perhaps the greatest compliment I could possibly give any book.
