If you are new to Access 97, then this is the book for you! It's easy visual approach to every aspect of Access 97 is a treat for people who are just beginning to learn Access 97. You don't have to hunt through the book to learn about a prticular topic. You just look it up. It's that easy. So if you are new to Access 97, buy this book! But beware, it only teaches you the basics, that's it.

The Access 2000 Tutorial is a great product which allows easy understanding of all concepts. This tutorial could allow a first-time computer student to fully complete all ideas and be able to remember concepts and procedures by memory. Easy to follow directions and color graphics provides a simple understanding of Access 2000. The Access 2000 Tutorial is highly recommended by college professors and myself.

This reference guide is a life saver! I keep it on hand to help me through new tasks, and use it as a quick guide for time saving keystrokes and shortcuts. I have purchased all the Microsoft Office guides and think they are fantastic! I would recommend them to anyone - for new users the step by step instructions are easy to follow, so they will have you up and running in no time. If you are familiar with the software they are a great reference for less used tasks. Thumbs up!

Well, before I decided to go for for Master MOS Certification, I researched preparation materials pretty thoroughly. I didn't find anything really great out there. When I failed the Access 2003 exam, after using the typical Study Guide books from Microsoft for preparation, I decided I needed better materials. I stepped up my search for something else pretty quickly. I found good reviews about this book and ordered it right away since I wanted to retake the exam within two weeks. The exercises in this book are very good and quickly increase your ability to perform Access routines. That's what's missing from many of the other books - they don't give you enough practice to really increase your skill and help you pass a difficult test such as this one. Everything is explained clearly in this book, and I didn't find any errors. I got the version with the CD, although apparently the publisher offers the same student files from their website. You'll want the specialist/expert version of this book since this exam, in my opinion, is more of an expert-level test than a core-level one. I passed this morning, and I'll be using another book by Nita Rutkosky to prepare for the Expert Word 2003 exam, which I hope to sit the end of September. Thanks Nita!

This book is easy to follow with pictures showing you exactly what to do. It includes explanations and practice examples. The practice examples tell you exactly what you will see and what you should press. This book is broken up into lessons and tells you approximately how long the lesson takes. It covers the most commonly used features in Access.

Although this book covers MSA 2.0, I use it frequently to pass on the valuable information it contains to the users I support within the State Of Washington Government office where I am employed. The answers are clear, concise and easy to follow. My deepest regret is that Mary didn't write more.

This is the most complete reference and tool kit around for the NT 4.0 server platform. Must have for any business running NT4 servers. Tools and utilities are needed to effectivly run a network.

I've been trying to learn Access for the past year, and none of the books of the dozens I've consulted really helped. Mr. Sheldon's book, however, is different. In every chapter, he explains how to use Access with concrete examples, and he even teaches the reader about database design along the way. There are progress check questions and end of chapter quizzes, both with answers! Most importantly, each chapter contains very well-designed, easy-to-do, hands-on projects! They're great. Plus, the material is general enough that, in my opinion, one can use any version of Access with this book. If you're new to Access and databases, get this book!
