You have seen the program. Now read the book. Reading this book gives you a better insight as to what an antique is and what to look for. The program is ok but you can not take it with you or unless you own the video you can not go back on a point.

There is a small color section. But for the most part the pictures for the descriptions are black and white. There is a section on "Art Glass" however not enough detail to tell the difference between amberina and cobalt.

The title includes collectibles also. And the different furniture styles. I could not find anything on "Lebus" furniture.

All in all this is the place to start. Before looking for price guides you need to know what you are looking at. However you will need to branch out from here. There is an extensive index and lots of photos. There is a list of Auction houses, appraisal organizations, and Antiques Road Show appraisers.

An Awesome Book

This is an awesome tool to have for anyone studying real estate in Arizona. I figured with the market as slow as it has been, now would be a good time to get into real estate. As it always does, the market will pick back up, hopefully, soon. The information in this book is invaluable. It covers everything very thoroughly. It's right on point. I like it because it doesn't cover a broad range of states, where you have to figure out which area applies to yours, it just covers Arizona and it's requirements to pass the real estate exam. It provides study help tools and great practice questions and exam's. A definite must for anyone studying to get their real estate license in AZ. I highly recommend it

I remember this book from when my older daughter (37 years) was a little girl. It was one of her favorites, and mine, too. About a little bird who announces repeatedly to all her friends that her birthday is coming, and then reacts with a captivating humility when they all remember and bring gifts. The rhythm of the verse is terrific, and even though I haven't seen the book for probably 30 years, I can still recite lines from it.

Mario DeMarco presents "COL. TIM MCCOY: THE LAST PLAINSMAN" (Paperback) (1986) --- Timothy John Fitzgerald "Tim" McCoy was an American actor --- Born the son of an Irish soldier who later became police chief in Saginaw, he became a major film star most noted for his roles in Western films --- He was so popular with youngsters as a cowboy star that he appeared on the cover of Wheaties cereal boxes.

He attended St. Ignatius College in Chicago and after seeing a wild west show there, left school and found work on a Wyoming ranch --- He became an expert horseman and roper and developed a knowledge of the ways and languages of the Native American tribes in the area --- He competed in numerous rodeos, then enlisted in the United States Army when America entered the first World War.

In 1922, he was asked by the head of Famous Players-Lasky, Jesse L. Lasky, to provide Native American extras for the Western extravaganza, "The Covered Wagon" (1923) --- He brought hundreds of Native Americans to Hollywood and served as technical advisor on the film --- After touring the country and Europe with the Native Americans as publicity, McCoy returned to Hollywood and used his connections to obtain further work in the movies, both as a technical advisor and as an actor --- MGM quickly signed him to a contract to star in a series of westerns and McCoy rose to stardom, making numerous westerns and an occasional non-westerns.

In 1935, he left Hollywood, first to tour with the Ringling Brothers Circus and then with his own wild west show --- The schow was not a success and is reported to have lost $300,000. $100,000 was McCoy's own money --- It folded in Washington D.C. and the Cowboy performers were each given $5 and McCoy's thanks --- The Indians on the show were returned to their respective reservations by the Bureau of Indian Affairs --- He returned to films in 1940, in a series teaming him with Buck Jones and Raymond Hatton, but World War II and Jones's death in 1942 ended the series.

For his contribution to the film industry, McCoy was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame --- In 1973, McCoy was inducted into the Hall of Great Western Performers of the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum --- McCoy was inducted into the Cowboy Hall of Fame in 1974.--- (From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)

Although this is a b/w text with no bells and whistles and obnoxious pictures, my two little science people preferred this book over the Prentice-Hall Science Explorer books. It is TOO bad that Calvert School dropped this classic from the curriculum. Sidebar: Calvert has gone from Classic to Progressive, substituting standard textbooks over their tried and true publications; I mourn the transformation.

A must have primer for anyone contemplating the implementation of an Enterprise Contract Management solution for their organization. This book provided me with a very thorough and complete study of what it takes to do ECM right, and how to get the most value out of an ECM solution.

When I was done reading the book I felt ready to tackle just about any issue regarding Enterprise Contract Management. Step by step it walked me through the process.

Proof of the Authenticity of the Bible

Documentation is extensive in the book, and arguments are clearly stated and easy to understand. There is a useful index, and sections are labeled and can be used to find specific topics. If there is a weakness in the book it is that McDowell tries to cover too much ground. I found the treatment of religions outside of Christianity to be so general as to not be too useful. The book is very useful, however, to answer a great deal of criticism of the Bible and Christianity, and I recommend it highly for that purpose.
