Music and Audio Books

The Mark Hayes series simply cannot be beaten for quality piano arrangements, including the accompanying CD tracks. I use them for myself and my voice students, and my only wish is that the medium high arrangements were actually a little higher - they really are medium voiced, rather than medium high - but they are quite good for teaching younger students who don't really scale the heights yet, vocally.

The audio-cassette which accompanies this read-along book is narrated by Karen Dotrice-Nell who played Jane Banks in the movie. The program combines her narration with dialogue excerpts from the movie which creates a very authentic atmosphere. It is, of course, a short book intended for young readers but it is also beautifully adapted for the intended age range. I was at first skeptical about these Disney read-alongs but am now inclined to check out a few more for my daughter.

This is quite an excellent book and is surprisingly done in soft cover now. My copy is hard cover and is a prized possession. It's thoughtfully and knowledgably written, has excellent references, recommendations, photos and discussions.

I love this book, and it would be a GREAT present for ANY jazz guitarist. If you love one, buy it for them and they'll never forget it!

The Mastering the Piano series is a boon for teachers and students alike. They are good buys - the CD is certainly helpful for students who no longer are that familiar with repertoire at this level. As with the others, the selection is excellant and pretty much at the same level except for the challenging Grieg, Wedding Day at Troldhaugen. The advantage of having all the pieces at the same level of excellance and ability is that one book can cover a years study, minimizing the expense. This volume contains a Joplin rag as its contempory piece - an appealing choice.

I like this book beacuse I have picturers in head.My favourite chater are miss Honey and Matilda.Then it is a bit what I like when Matilda when to school.

This book was written from the unique perspective of a road journalist. I like the objective way in which George Harrison, his individual work and his fame as a Beatle are treated. I also like the inclusion of a poster and booklet to supplement this work.

This A great audio book its soo nice slip it in your cd walkman and ENJOY!!! its very nice and you get too hear some music off light years and fever.

This rocks, it is by far the best biography i have ever bought. It tells almost everything there is to know about the band.

Great CD - healing, soothing, and meditative. Trance inducing and soul enriching. The mbira playing is outstanding. Checkout mbira.org on the web that has lots of great information about this traditional African instrument. Please get more of this out on CD.

I have spent a small fortune on fiddle/violin books, looking for beautiful yet unusual pieces to inspire me and this is one of my absolute favorites. The songs are beautiful, especially when played with the chords that are provided. I have since bought another of his books (o'carolan tunes for mandolin) and was delighted with that as well. Lovely arrangements!
