This is a nice lift-the-flap, about a little bear who goes looking for his kitty cat before he can go to sleep. I'd recommend you read the book "Be Gentle" first, as that's where we first meet Little Black Kitten. (The boy, Bartholemew, is in several books before that, but "Be Gentle" is the best.) Nice series.

I am not a chef on any account except the freelance sort of cooking that comes out "just right" from time to time. This book, however, has gripped my interest in antiquity rather that gastronomy. It is filled with little oddities that are no longer practiced in any kitchens that I know of.

It certainly is a fun book to browse through...and, yes, that part of a raccoon can be quite good (in accordance to the book).

I have an original copy of this book. Yes, in 1897-1890 orginally published by the Warner CO. I believe in Chicago, Ill. It is wonderful !!!!! There are receipes, bits and pieces of lore about the people who have been in the Whitehouse. Information on healthy cooking, for the era, not recommended today. Advise on how to live, coupled with how to do your laundry or treat an ailment. Very much worth the purchase of this copy. Makes for a great historical review as well as some really fine cooking.

I personally have used this Book as Stocking Stuffers, Bridal Presents, going off to College Gifts, Anniversary Presents & Birthday Surprises. There isn't a Traditional Holiday or Global Custom that does NXT require a basic THANK YOU Note.

And, "Why ... THANK YOU!" tells you how to approach & handle each particular case in a warm & meaningful Manner. It definitely is a Must-Have. I firmly believe all Elementary School Teachers should incorporate this BOOK into their Daily Curriculums. Saying THANK YOU via the Written Word definitely takes "The Edge" off any Situation & should be learned at a Tender Age & then carried on throughout one's LifeTime every wakeful moment.

It takes the guess work out of sending flowers. I am much more educated about floral arrangements. A perfect coffee table book with beautiful watercolors. It is a delightful gift for men and women with inspriational real-life stories and quotes. I love the part that tells about your favorite flower and color revealing your personality traits. It also describes international color protocol. A wonderful uplifting and guide book!

We all know how toddlers don't want to be scolded or how they say No when we ask them to do something. Well, this book is a non-confrontational way of showing toddlers why they should listen. To make it more relevant to our family, I asked them if they remembered instances when "bad things" happened when the did not listen. My sons love the book and the pictures.

This book is chock full of the most awesome recipes, fun facts, witty quotes and countless excuses to entertain your friends and family. I love "cook books" that entertain while you're waiting for something to come out of the oven--I had to set timers because I kept getting engrossed in the stories and sidebars. It makes a great hostess gift or present for all the party girls on your list.

I am an American working for the top Japanese executives at a Japanese-owned company in the U.S. I landed this job due to 18 years prior experience working with the Japanese.

Many things have changed in the Japanese-American working atmosphere since this book was published in 1992. The younger Japanese are much more open, pro-American and savvy. And, at least in my company, the Japanese have made a great effort to apply "when in Rome." But still, with many older Japanese (50+) expatriates working in America, there can be cultural misunderstandings. I've personally experienced several embarrassing situations that might have been avoided if I had read this book earlier.

An unexpected part of my job has been as a liaison between the Japanese and Americans, fielding questions that the Americans have about the Japanese and visa versa. So, because of this book, I can better answer these questions, and my position here has therefore been gaining in value.

Author, Robert M. March, has done a great deal to improve international relations - this book would go far to help relationships anywhere. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to work for the Japanese.

Dr. Lam's vast knowledge in this area amazed me, she has so much wonderful information. Much of this is aquired from living in Hong Kong and studying in America for much of her life. This book is an excellent source of information for those of us in Business working with Chinese Expatriates. I don't want to ruin the book for you but will tell you her writings are excellent.
